Pizzas are always good. Has kind of a sweeter sauce. But always delicious. Cheese bread is always cheese and has that crispy edges to their bread. Their Stromboli's are good too but remind of their regular pizzas. So up to you on what you would want, but they're not your normal Strombolis or calzone. read more

We have been to Fat Cat Pizza many times over the years. We especially like to go when the Rendition's are playing! The music is great with tunes from the 70's but it is loud and not conducive to much conversation with your dining partner. Our server was Hannah and she was attentive to our dining needs! We had adult beverages and started with the side salad. The salad is simple with lettuce, tomato, and cheese. We then had the pepperoni Stromboli which is always tasty. It is a bit greasy but there are plenty of napkins on the table. I also had the turkey club sub which was really good but had too much mayonnaise on it. I will order it on the side next time. We always take some of the food home as leftovers. We will be back! read more

Stopped by for lunch today. The door was propped open and people were actively eating inside. We waited to be seated, which didn't take long. However, once we were met by the waitress we were told that the dining room was closed and we were not able to eat inside. It was explained that they didn't have any servers available. Despite this claim, the kitchen staff was clearly making food and there was a room of folks eating already. This is not the first disappointing experience at this place, this is just the thing that finally pushed me to right a review. In the event that staffing is actually too low, leaving a sign on the door and not leaving it propped open would be a good thing to consider. It's a shame that the customer service is so poor... the food is typically really good. However, I think this joint would operate better if there were zero employees and customers served themselves. read more

Went with a friend today for lunch. When we arrived there were a few cars in the parking lot and the door was propped fully open. When we went inside there was a lady on the phone taking an order so we waited until she was done. When she hung the phone up we told her there were 2 of us and she proceeded to tell us the dining room was closed because they didn't have any servers today. Maybe if you close the dining room, don't have the door wide open inviting patrons inside or at the very least put a sign on the door. I see from other reviews and from other personal experiences that the customer service is terrible and that is a shame because the food is so good. Someone should buy this place and operate it like a restaurant should be because with the product they serve it has so much potential. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. When we arrived we were told by one of the waitresses told us to seat ourselves. After 30 minutes of being ignored, a different waitress came over and told us that because we seated ourselves, that is why no one has served us. Then another couple came in and were served immediately. My husband went to the bar and complained that we had been there 35 minutes and not acknowledged yet this couple was already served. That waitress said she would send someone over. Another 10 minutes went by with nothing, so as it was obvious no one cared, we decided to leave. As I was leaving, I tried to speak to the waitress who basically told us we shouldn't have seated ourselves, but she turned and walked away. I am shocked at how rude all of the waitresses were in absolutely ignoring us as they walked by us multiple times. We came in to listen to the G Gap Band and get a bite to eat for the first time. We arrived at approximately 7: 10 and sat at the bar. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for anybody to welcome us and ask what we would like to drink. I asked the server if they had the Down East Cider as advertised by a poster on the wall and she said yes, they had it on draft, but she failed to mention that it was the pineapple version. The poster indicated it was the traditional apple cider. Once it came to me and I tasted it, I knew I wasn't going to be able to drink it. I asked another bartender to get me a vodka, cranberry, and she was very friendly and willing to make it for me after removing the pineapple cider. After about 25 minutes we were finally asked what we would like to eat. I ordered a small all the way pizza and my hubby ordered five teriyaki wings. It wasn't very busy at all, but 40 minutes passed before we finally asked where our food was. The bartender went back into the kitchen to check on it, and after about four minutes, came back out and said the pizza is on its way out, but the wings came out overcooked and the manager told the kitchen to remake them. So another 10 minutes later, our food came out. Not surprisingly, the pizza had been sitting on the pan waiting for the second order of wings to get done and by the time it reached me, the crust was soggy. The chicken wings, although a nice size and good tasting, actually weren't completely cooked through on one or two of them. We would've told the servers that we were unhappy with some of the food, but no one ever came back to check on us to see how things were and if they could get us anything. Overall it was a disappointing customer service/food experience for us, and we will not be returning. Bummer. read more

I love visiting Lancaster and always have to get several fat cat pizzas each time I do! I've had pizza all over the country including Chicago and New York - Fat Cat remains my top favorite. I've had approx. 5 pizzas from them in the last 6 months. 1 good pizza and 2 ok pizzas and 2 horrible pizzas. I've had 2 Italian subs as well. Both times the subs were disgusting. Brown lettuce and hardly any meat. I'm done with them. No more ordering from me. Back in the day the original Fat Cats was the best in town. Too bad it couldn't have carried on. Very average pizza. Sweet sauce, which we don't like. You have two choices of crust. We always opt for any pizza offering a thin crust, but it wasn't really that thin. We waited about 90 minutes for our food while dining in. If it had been exceptional, the wait would have been worth our time, but, again, the pizza and appetizers were just average. while the food was good the service was horrible. we were served by Paige and at first it was well but little did we know it was all a ruse. she took our drink orders with a bit of sass and when she came back with our drinks we told her we would need a minute to find out what we wan, however i think that she needs her ears checked cause she was gone for 30. after multiple attempts to get her attention and ignoring us she finally took our order seeming annoyed at having to do her job. she left and didn't come back for another 30 minutes with one of eight plates. six other plates came out in the next ten ish minutes. we assumed our pizza was just still in the oven but after 45 minutes we waved her down to ask about our pizza. with an abundance of attitude she said "umm yeah ill go check on that right now" and walked away. 1 minute later she comes out with our pizza in hand and says that it "had just come out" which would have been fine if it wasn't a COMPLETE LIE. the pan wasn't even hot and the pizza was warm at best. i understand making mistakes on occasion but our whole dining experience was ruined. this girl clearly doesn't have what it takes to survive the service industry. if i could vote zero stars, i would read more

Decided to give this place one more go and after this one last go. The waitress was nice and the tea was decent. But that pizza ranks as one of the worse I have ever had. I ordered from the buffet and tried different pizzas. One pepp, another bacon, a Hawaiian, and a meat lovers. All of which sadly did not taste good. I'm a big eater and couldn't make it past one plate that wasn't filled up. I informed the waitress who also cashed me out and by her reaction she wasn't surprised by mine as well. This used to be our favorite pizza but lately (pre-covid included) they have been so inconsistent that that is no longer the case. The biggest issue is that the pizzas seem to be overdone; not necessarily burnt but done to the point that the dough/crust becomes extremely tough and even the cheese becomes almost crispy! Also, the people they have working at the Ety rd location seem less friendly and attentive than in past years (we've been eating their pizza for 15+ years!). There are so many pizza options now in Lancaster that we find ourselves most of the time ordering from other places, and when we do order from Fat Cats it ends up being a disappointment usually. I use to love Fat Cat Pizza but the last two times, especially this last time was horrible. The sweet sauce tasted like canned tomato paste loaded with sugar. I ordered a large veggie pizza and it was undercooked and soggy. I assumed the toppings would be freshly sliced and on top the pizza but they were under the cheese which made the toppings undesirable, not to mention the fact that with the toppings hidden underneath the cheese you really can't tell what all is on it or how much. I loved their sweet house sauce in the past but this time is was way to sweet and way too much sauce on it to the point it was to sweet to eat. I had to let the pizza cool down enough so I could lift the cheese off and scrape off all the sauce and old looking old tasting dices onions that appeared to be pre bagged and diced. I also ordered a small pepperoni pizza. The pepperoni was also underneath the cheese which made it slimy and greasy. First & LAST pizza from this place ! Ordered a large pepperoni . After I wiped off the Sugary sauce , I was able to find the 6 or so pieces of pepperoni hiden under the caked on provolone cheese on a large . I was able to salvage about 1/8th of the pizza , the Rest went into the garbage ! My dog wasn't even getting it ! Don't waste your $$$ ! I've tried Massey's, DiNoto's, Christy's , Sugar Bear's & Tiberio's . Creeno's is still the Best , but if there was a Blaze Pizza in Lancaster , they'd all be outa business ! Best pizza in town if you like sweet, but not service. Was told my pie would be ready in 45, I'm here and there 12 cars in line and no one is allowed to go inside. Complete and utter chaos in the parking lot and out on the street. I'm surprised the city hasn't fined them yet for the congestion due to neglecting to let people come inside and carry out. Havent order from fats cats in a long time and decided to order. Fat cats used to be a big deal here in lancaster, one of the best! After seeing the pizza that i order, it was just flabbergasting. The pizza took 2 hours for it to be delivered, it was burnt all the way around it & hard as cardboard top & bottom. I called the store to get things reconciled but it was either credit my account or wait for another pizza taking the chance on getting another burnt pie. The manager didnt care to try to make anything right by the order. When talking to them, the manager wasnt any way shape or form cooperative, leaving the counter employee taking the orders to take the brunt of the discouraged customer. Truly sad. Stopped at Fat Cat after watching friends ride in the Pelotonia Ride and I can use one word to sum up my feelings about Fat Cat's Pizza: Meh. The establishment was nice and clean and the people were very friendly and service was excellent. It's just their pizza was one the least memorable pizza I've eaten. The crust was very similar to Bellacinos and the sauce appeared to be really sweet, somewhat similar to Pizza Cottage's sauce, just a little thinner. Boy am I disappointed. I'm new to town & so many people recommended this place! Wednesday night, I placed an order for pick-up (pizza & garlic bread) at 6:20. 35 minutes later I arrived to collect my anxiously awaited pie. 1 hour and 15 minutes later, I got to leave with it. Granted, they had about a half full dining room and only 1 or maybe 2 servers. The poor gal was whizzing around and all apologies. Management shouldn't leave their employees in such a precarious situation! I must've heard her apologize to 3 different tables & me. There were still dirty plates and cups on the buffet area off to the side. For some reason, they gave me my garlic bread ahead of my pizza. Maybe they figured I was hungry since I waited so long. Anyhow, I opened the box and was sorely disappointed. It was a few hot dog rolls/ hoagie buns sliced in half, intermittently sprinkled with cheese, and lacking any discernible garlic aroma. Finally, my pizza arrived. It was cut into squares which I never prefer, but to each their own. It wouldn't have held up in triangles as it was quite sloppy. I ordered the All The Way, assuming a signature pizza is where they'd shine. They missed the mark. The mushrooms were canned. The pepperoni was below the cheese so it didn't crisp up and all the cheese & toppings slid off when you attempted to pick up a slice let alone bite it. The sauce is too sweet for my liking, though again, I'm willing to chalk that up to personal preference. So, in summary, I'd like to give them another go but maybe I'll shoot for the buffet as the wait was not at all worth the price or the quality. I've had considerably better pizza for half the price and a quarter of the time from Dominos! I gave it two stars because the pizza was much better reheated the next day. Haven't had a good fat cat pizza in years, that's not to say I haven't had a pizza from there for years, just not a good one. Somewhere between the sale to new owners, new fancy location, closing the two other existing locations, and the fire, they forgot how to make good pizza. Shame too, they used to be the best.
