So good in fact that I literally could not see the glass. I thought they had forgotten it! But it turns out that since the glare-free glass was on backorder and would have taken weeks longer to obtain, they went ahead and installed the much more expensive Museum Glass instead at no extra charge! I mean, who does that?! I haven't received such phenominal service in a long time. And here it is in a tiny little shop in the heart of North Hollywood. These people are amazing and I will come here forever. I never expected to be so well taken care of. The quality of the materials is great, the corners are smooth and tight and the whole thing looks like it should have in a museum. First time I called and asked for prices on a specific framing need I had, the employee on the phone gave me very detailed pricing since I needed a canvas stretched and framed. 1 price for the stretching, 1 price for the framing. And 1 price for framing with my own wood material (since I have my own from a wood shop closing sale.) With that said I was pleased with the price I was given and came to the shop. The owner greeted us and gave us an entirely different price that I was given !!! Which I had written on a paper. Mind you we gave the same exact dimensions on the phone. So we ended up paying more after a long argument which left us extremely frustrated and perplexed. Fast forward back to the following week when I had another painting that needed to be framed with my own material. Called ahead to get a price. $50 for cut. Then I ask for installation of the frame. Employee said it was included in the cut. Happy with that, I arrived to the shop to be greeted by once again, the owner. And yes you already know what's gonna happen. A DIFFERENT PRICE AGAIN!!! Argument began and the employee on the phone confirms what he told us and yet the owner still gave us a different price which ended up being $110 !!!! Said the price was just for cut only. I told him he charged me a cut/installation fee last time of $40 for a separate small painting and he ignored it like it never happened. Literally with the receipt in hand. 3rd time my friend needed a frame and since he's the closest he decided to go there but I warned him about the owner so he called ahead and go a pricing.. Yup.. Happened again. Owner increased the price regardless of what was said on the phone. And the 4th time. My friend had to frame and stretch a painting so he called and the son answered. Went thru the whole detailed because we knew what would happen. Go all the pricing written down and everything included. Showed up. The owner was there. Gave us a complete different price. We called out the son which was in the back. He confirmed the price that was given to us on the phone. Yet the owner did not want to agree to it !!!! Unbelievable!!! The owner needs to be transparent about prices and if you ever call ahead. Ask for name of person on the call, Record the conversation because he will do this again and again and again. Lost a lot of business because of his behavior because at this point that's just gonna keep happening and I'm not having it any more.

Each month's exhibit has a theme, and there's always an opening reception. Unlike many art shows, Carter Sexton's shows don't ask for money just to submit your work. Only if your work is accepted and you choose to participate do you pay a modest fee ($15) which is a great deal, because the shop clearly spends a lot of time making placards for each piece with the artist's name and mini-bio, and then hanging the work. You can sell your exhibited work and/or sell prints of it. I'm so grateful for the community this place fosters!

When I saw the work, I was shocked by how sloppy, rushed, and low quality it looked. This was not professional work and not something any business should hand to a customer. I explained that I was unhappy with the quality and asked for my money back because I could not use this canvas for my client. Instead of trying to fix the problem, they refused and kept saying, "This is how we do it," and that they already spent time, labor, and materials on it. They acted like there was nothing wrong with the work at all. What made the experience even worse was the attitude and disrespect. Instead of helping or apologizing, I was told to leave the store. I also took photos of the canvas so people can judge the quality for themselves. I would not recommend this place if you expect professionalism, quality workmanship, or respectful customer service.

Overall, not a bad experience, but they can for sure step up to the plate and help out their customers when we need help. I have had 2 pictures framed at their framing department in the past; and, they did an excellent job. So thank you for that! Clean store, restrooms in the far back, also clean, and plenty of parking spaces shared with number of businesses. Located on the 2nd level right above Marshalls. My experience today with Fast Frame was by far the best customer service experience I have had in a very long time -- or more likely, ever. Although I was a first-time customer arriving near closing time on a Saturday, Montel really understood the urgency of my job, and he gave me both undivided attention and an excellent deal. He was creative in figuring out how to do an out-side-the-box request for an important occasion. With in-person care like that, I cannot imagine online business ever truly taking over storefronts! I inherited some very large and beautiful Asian silk paintings that had slipped in their frames. I took them to Fast Frames, they opened them, repositioned them, cleaned the frames inside and out and made them look like new. They did an excellent job for a very reasonable price. While in their store I noticed that they have an outstanding selection of frames and I intend to use them for my next framing job. In spite of the fact that I did not buy new frames and was only coming to them for a repair, I was treated very well, as if I was bringing them a big new job. I highly recommend them! read more

Our company has been using this Fast Frame for several years now. Our office is located in LA and we go to the Fast Frame in Sherman Oaks because of their great quality of work and customer service. The customer service is amazing and the employees are very nice and helpful! We dropped off several pieces of work to be framed and we are so happy with the results.
