I brought a very cherished and expensive Kenton Nelson print in for framing and the girl there was patient and professional and really helped me in picking the right products. Because I value this particular print so much I opted to buy the glare-free glass; more expensive but worth it for me. When I went to pick it up I was amazed how good it looked. So good in fact that I literally could not see the glass. I thought they had forgotten it! But it turns out that since the glare-free glass was on backorder and would have taken weeks longer to obtain, they went ahead and installed the much more expensive Museum Glass instead at no extra charge! I mean, who does that?! I haven't received such phenominal service in a long time. And here it is in a tiny little shop in the heart of North Hollywood. These people are amazing and I will come here forever. I never expected to be so well taken care of. The quality of the materials is great, the corners are smooth and tight and the whole thing looks like it should have in a museum. First time I called and asked for prices on a specific framing need I had, the employee on the phone gave me very detailed pricing since I needed a canvas stretched and framed. 1 price for the stretching, 1 price for the framing. And 1 price for framing with my own wood material (since I have my own from a wood shop closing sale.) With that said I was pleased with the price I was given and came to the shop. The owner greeted us and gave us an entirely different price that I was given !!! Which I had written on a paper. Mind you we gave the same exact dimensions on the phone. So we ended up paying more after a long argument which left us extremely frustrated and perplexed. Fast forward back to the following week when I had another painting that needed to be framed with my own material. Called ahead to get a price. $50 for cut. Then I ask for installation of the frame. Employee said it was included in the cut. Happy with that, I arrived to the shop to be greeted by once again, the owner. And yes you already know what's gonna happen. A DIFFERENT PRICE AGAIN!!! Argument began and the employee on the phone confirms what he told us and yet the owner still gave us a different price which ended up being $110 !!!! Said the price was just for cut only. I told him he charged me a cut/installation fee last time of $40 for a separate small painting and he ignored it like it never happened. Literally with the receipt in hand. 3rd time my friend needed a frame and since he's the closest he decided to go there but I warned him about the owner so he called ahead and go a pricing.. Yup.. Happened again. Owner increased the price regardless of what was said on the phone. And the 4th time. My friend had to frame and stretch a painting so he called and the son answered. Went thru the whole detailed because we knew what would happen. Go all the pricing written down and everything included. Showed up. The owner was there. Gave us a complete different price. We called out the son which was in the back. He confirmed the price that was given to us on the phone. Yet the owner did not want to agree to it !!!! Unbelievable!!! The owner needs to be transparent about prices and if you ever call ahead. Ask for name of person on the call, Record the conversation because he will do this again and again and again. Lost a lot of business because of his behavior because at this point that's just gonna keep happening and I'm not having it any more.

He picked the perfect frame style for the artwork and I was pleasantly surprised at the incredible selection of options. It's been a while since I had any art framed and had forgotten how great it is to have a professional take care of it. The pricing is more than fair and the turnaround time was reasonable! They are quite busy, I assume because of their incredible service and competitive pricing. We also had a matte cut custom for another piece. Parking was easy to find as well. Therese and co. take a genuine interest in what you're looking for and make it a fun, collaborative, creative effort. As far as price, I actually find them pretty reasonable. Custom framing is expensive wherever you go (and if it's cheap then you need to seriously investigate why), but I've paid a lot more at other places for frames that weren't half as good as Willging's. The minute we walked in Tamia was straight on point. I really liked the selection of ornaments they had this year. Prices can be compatible with the other stores. They have really good sales around holidays or after holidays. Employees are usually nice and friendly. The only complaint I have is the long lines. No matter how many cashiers are working , there is always a long line. Parking can be really challenging during the weekends. Sometimes it is really hard to find a parking spot. It is better to park close to Burger King since that area usually is not that crowded.
