I brought a very cherished and expensive Kenton Nelson print in for framing and the girl there was patient and professional and really helped me in picking the right products. Because I value this particular print so much I opted to buy the glare-free glass; more expensive but worth it for me. When I went to pick it up I was amazed how good it looked. So good in fact that I literally could not see the glass. I thought they had forgotten it! But it turns out that since the glare-free glass was on backorder and would have taken weeks longer to obtain, they went ahead and installed the much more expensive Museum Glass instead at no extra charge! I mean, who does that?! I haven't received such phenominal service in a long time. And here it is in a tiny little shop in the heart of North Hollywood. These people are amazing and I will come here forever. I never expected to be so well taken care of. The quality of the materials is great, the corners are smooth and tight and the whole thing looks like it should have in a museum. Last week I made an appointment with a guy named Jerry and told him what I needed to be done. I needed to frame one 18x24 picture, and that's all I needed. I arrived at the gallery today exactly 12pm to pick up my portrait. It was nicely done, polished, and framed. They do all types of work from framing, have oil and canvas paintings, sculptures, have different sizes of frames, have different choices of mat boards, and glass types. Endless opportunities. They frame mirrors and can also be customized according to your liking and specification. Jerry was very easy to communicate with over the phone and even better in person. Every item has a different value and price. I don't think they have parking. I parked on the street and you can also utilize the Ralphs parking lot which is across the street. I didn't know that he was mostly a custom frame maker. He said he could make me a matte since it was a simple ask. He was incredibly nice and I could tell from how precise he was about it that he was a real professional. I had never seen how a real photo matte was made so it was fascinating to watch. Him do it with ease. He even took out the nailing point that came on my frame and added a better one so that it would lay flat against the wall. I was incredibly impressed with the final product. He was really insightful when I asked him questions about framing and explained how big a difference the glass makes. We had really nice conversation. Jerry's the best and I'll definitely be coming back to him!

He picked the perfect frame style for the artwork and I was pleasantly surprised at the incredible selection of options. First time I called and asked for prices on a specific framing need I had, the employee on the phone gave me very detailed pricing since I needed a canvas stretched and framed. 1 price for the stretching, 1 price for the framing. And 1 price for framing with my own wood material (since I have my own from a wood shop closing sale.) With that said I was pleased with the price I was given and came to the shop. The owner greeted us and gave us an entirely different price that I was given !!! Which I had written on a paper. Mind you we gave the same exact dimensions on the phone. So we ended up paying more after a long argument which left us extremely frustrated and perplexed. Fast forward back to the following week when I had another painting that needed to be framed with my own material. Called ahead to get a price. $50 for cut. Then I ask for installation of the frame. Employee said it was included in the cut. Happy with that, I arrived to the shop to be greeted by once again, the owner. And yes you already know what's gonna happen. A DIFFERENT PRICE AGAIN!!! Argument began and the employee on the phone confirms what he told us and yet the owner still gave us a different price which ended up being $110 !!!! Said the price was just for cut only. I told him he charged me a cut/installation fee last time of $40 for a separate small painting and he ignored it like it never happened. Literally with the receipt in hand. 3rd time my friend needed a frame and since he's the closest he decided to go there but I warned him about the owner so he called ahead and go a pricing.. Yup.. Happened again. Owner increased the price regardless of what was said on the phone. And the 4th time. My friend had to frame and stretch a painting so he called and the son answered. Went thru the whole detailed because we knew what would happen. Go all the pricing written down and everything included. Showed up. The owner was there. Gave us a complete different price. We called out the son which was in the back. He confirmed the price that was given to us on the phone. Yet the owner did not want to agree to it !!!! Unbelievable!!! The owner needs to be transparent about prices and if you ever call ahead. Ask for name of person on the call, Record the conversation because he will do this again and again and again. Lost a lot of business because of his behavior because at this point that's just gonna keep happening and I'm not having it any more.

Quite honestly, the framing orders I have with her are the best I've ever seen. Her vast array of frames offer so many possibilities. When I enter her shop, my creative instincts take over and I'm glad to be back. Sometimes I give her artworks that were previously framed by someone else. She has my consent to take the frames and mats apart. With her plethora of frame options and her expert handling, these pictures look noticeably better. There are many other framers out there, but no one takes care of my artworks like Cathy does. Enough said.

Very Unprofessional and Uncomfortable Experience…read more I had a very unpleasant experience at the Hobby Lobby in Burbank, CA, today, October 10, 2026, with an employee named Kimberly M., who was working at the returns register. From the very beginning, she had a terrible attitude and seemed visibly annoyed that I didn't have my physical receipts and that she had to look up the transactions for a few items. It wasn't a large number of returns, and I certainly didn't expect to be treated poorly simply because she had to do a little extra work. What made the interaction even more bizarre was her unnecessary and completely out-of-context comments, including mentioning that she was the daughter of a lawyer. I'm not sure what she was trying to accomplish by bringing that up. Was it supposed to intimidate me? It was completely irrelevant and incredibly unprofessional. Throughout the entire interaction, she kept going back and forth with me in an unnecessarily confrontational and awkward manner, all in front of my child. Her behavior made both of us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. I don't know what her issue was that day, but customers should not have to deal with this kind of attitude, especially when simply trying to make a return. Customer service requires patience, professionalism, and basic courtesy, none of which I experienced from Kimberly. Hobby Lobby management should seriously address how customers are being treated at this location. What should have been a simple return turned into an unnecessarily unpleasant experience.
