5 washers filled and left with unattended loads
Sun L.

2nd time using this laundromat only because our apartment complex laundry rooms are being renovated from 7/18 to 8/9, so will probably have to use this place once more for the mean time. Only gave this place 2 stars because of location convenience and late hours. Since I live on Buena Vista Ave so it's about 1-2 minute drive thank god. This laundromat is pretty darn filthy for Alameda standards What ticked me off was so many loads of left unattended in a lot of washers, can be a problem since time is of the essence, where do all of you guys even disappear to when it only takes 25 mins per wash cycle? Causing so much inconvenience for others in need of washing machines. I stayed to make sure wash cycle ends before i throw them into the dryer to dry and then leave the premises. Witnessed an odd homeless man in a beige cardigan and red cap just roaming back and forth, gave me weird vibes as he just kept circling around the laundromat when it was just me inside, keep in mind this was a little after 9pm as well on a Saturday. I had my coins exposed in a jar while doing my loads, afraid he was going to grab my coins and run, i looked him in the eye with a territorial look ready to throw hands if he tries anything funny. I walked to my car to put away my detergent, and this was his opportunity to grab some blankets from a washer next to mine and left the premises, thank god he didn't go through my stuff so this goes for you guys who love to leave your loads unattended in washers, don't act surprise when a weirdo went off with your shirt or trousers. Thank god machines haven't ate my quarters but overall, just an ok laundromat for last resort, do wash your loads responsibly nevertheless!

Date: 3/7/2021 Time: 11:30 AM 65° Sunny The laundromat my husband and I usually go to is crowded with people. The parking lot is full with vehicles in front of the laundromat and there is only one parking space available nearby. Social distancing is not conducive. We decide to head over to Rag's to do our laundry. It has been several years since we have done our washing here. There was an incident that happened then that caused us to stop doing our laundry here. One of the washing machines sprung a leak and water was flooding the floor. We had to take our clothes out of the dryers and we left. This time I notice improvement. No more raggedy machines that were occasionally out of order. Now the washing machines look relatively new and they accept credit cards (VISA, M/C, American Express and Discover). This laundromat is opened from 6 AM to midnight. Last wash is at 10:30 PM, last use of dryer is at 11:00 PM. There is an ATM machine Wi Fi, and a charging station for cell phones. Costly to use the charging station - 25¢ for four minutes. The only drawback is no vending machines selling candy, snacks and sodas. That's okay. There is a liquor store on the corner.

I used a "$6.75" washing machine with my card. You guys charged more than double for doing so.

I used a "$6.75" washing machine with my card. You guys charged more than double for doing so. If there was a disclaimer regarding extra fees, sure that's on me. I've been doing my laundry here for a few years now, and had situations where the change machine was out of quarters, the atm was down, or a combination of both. This recent experience doing laundry here feels pretty shady on your end.

Marked machine with no response.

Machines, if they work, are fine. Hours are convenient. However, coin op is unpredictable. The card readers are risky. I reported at least 3 machines that did not work, with no refund or response, even after we filled out the cards, marked the machines, and filled out the logs. We lost a bit of money this way. No response when we called the manager. Voicemails were not answered. It's up to users to report the machines, there's no indication of when the owner will actually review the reports or follow up. This place could also use a bathroom.

Unfortunately the new owners aren't invested. I'm over not getting refunded for quarters I lost but last time I went the place was filthy with a bunch of broken machines.

Open until midnight

I just moved into this beautiful area and thankfully this establishment is infact open late. It wasn't crowded, very clean and there's alot of parking in the back.also there's a liquor store close by open late too

Water all over the floor

I come to this laundromat pretty often . I'm not sure what's going on but today this place is a filthy mess. It's dirty and nasty, there is puddles of water all over the floor, there is dog poop on the floor and I believe just got bit by a flea. I'm truly disgusted today. I won't be back

Not sure I'd use the dryer that says BOOGY on it but ok
Michael C.

This place is usually on point from a cleanliness standpoint. Hopefully this is just a busy day and the patrons were just being dirty... otherwise free parking, you can use a credit card for most washers and dryers, and it's in a nice area

How much is it to use a washer and dryer? Nobody's talking about prices...

There are several different options. From $3 for the double load (20 lbs) to $10 for the 8 load (80 lbs) washers. Drying is .25 cent for 6 mins for the 30 lbs dryers and .25 cents for 5 mins on the 50 lbs dryers. For washers we have 20, 30, 40, 55,… Read more

The next size down was $6.50 it was a newer machine.. So washing was on the cheaper side. The older machine definitely doesn't wash good. The dryers is what they get you on. I had one on the hot setting and it didn't get hot. 1 quarter get you three minutes 2 quarters gets you 5 min ( makes no sense it should be 6 min ) normally I would only spend $1.50 max drying but here I had to spend around $3.00 I hope this place fixes things because it's real convenient as I live nearby

The card reader for large washer #15 NEVER works. As a matter of fact, for all of the card machines in this facility, I would load clothes in and check if the card reader works FIRST before putting detergent in the washer - there is a little bit of a grace period between paying and having to press start. No one is on site that I have seen so your detergent spent will be detergent lost if the machine doesn't work or you don't have coins. 2. Check the dryers. Sometimes there are error messages and the card readers can be finicky (pic incl.). Also... there is a new notice that is BARELY NOTICEABLE) now that says you need a minimum of $1 just to start the dryers... be warned. Pic also incl. 3. There is a market next door to the laundromat so if you want snacks or something it's nearby.

Each time, I assume that it has been fixed because there is no sign indicating that the machine is broken, and, I've called on numerous occasions...but it's always broken. I certainly understand an occasional breakdown, but this seems willful at this point...

I thought the washers were a bit on the pricy side, but found out later their prices are competitive with similar facilities. $7 for the large washer and a quarter for every 7 minutes of dryer use. It is awesome to be able to purchase the dryer in such small increments. Every machine was working, which was refreshing for a laundromat. They also have free WiFi. Only drawback was difficult finding parking, but that's to be expected in Oakland. Would use this place again.

I decided to check…read moreout this place because they have industrial size washers and dryers that can clean all your comforters and any type of stuffed anything. Parking was relatively easy but it really is depending on the time of day you're coming. They have a vending machine where you can get detergent and all sorts of that stuff and they also sell bags in that vending machine that you can put your clothes into. I found that helpful but just keep in mind it's a dollar per each item and that adds up quickly depending on how many loads you're doing. Highly recommend to bring your own detergent. The machines take debit and credit cards and also coins. Washing and drying time are comparable and I love how hot the dryers get. You can add time onto your current drying time which is nice as well. They do have option to have someone clean your clothes for you but that doesn't appear to be an option on the weekend so just keep that in mind. There is Wi-Fi available in some tables available for folks to sit at to fold or just to do work from. The only downside I would say about this place that there's really no places to eat relatively nearby. You'll have to walk or drive and if you've already taken the time to get a nice parking spot , you may not want to move. You can always get the food delivered but just one thing to note if you're like me and we're trying to do laundry and get food while you wait. The facility is nice and well-maintained and everyone pretty much keeps to themselves while they do their laundry which is also nice. Not sure if there's a high time for people to come here but typically on the weekend around early evening was pretty slow. Did start to pick up closer to 8 PM but they're always seem to be a machine available. Something to know is that they don't have a lot of industrial size washers and dryers. I want to say they probably have 2-4 industrial washers and same with the dryers. They may have more of the dryers that are larger than washers but just something to keep in mind because the washers to come in a variety of sizes and the industrial size ones are always the first to be used.

It usually costs me between $20-$25 weekly for my family of four, which is incredibly reasonable when I think of the time it saves me from washing/folding my own laundry. I have been using their wash and fold services every week (sometimes twice a week) for about 2 years. I found them when I hurt my back moving and couldn't carry a heavy laundry basket filled with clothes for a family of 4 down/up the stairs to our washing machine in the basement. I can pull up in front of Park Central Cleaners and the owner will come out and get the basket from my car. He also carries the folded laundry back out to my car when it's ready the next day. The dry cleaning services are cheap, fast & excellent as well. Also, they have fixed buttons, mended tears, sown on patches, repaired hems, etc, for me for free or for a very small fee. I have always been thrilled with the result. What started as a necessity because of my injury has become something I really enjoy. Park Central Cleaners always does an excellent job for a great price. I highly recommend their services to anyone!
