I've now been going to fashion nails for just a couple months. I always go to have dip powder on my natural nails. I haven't been to Salon in many years and I just came in here as a walk-in. I've had three different people so far and all three have been excellent! I absolutely love going in the shop. I feel so comfortable and welcomed. I am handicapped in a wheelchair and everybody is very accommodating. My nails always come out beautifully and last weeks and I am very tough on my nails, yet they hold up extremely well. Everyone is very friendly in the shop. The shop is extremely clean and inviting . I will say, even if there is people waiting to have their nails done. All workers seem to be very efficient at their job. They do a great job, but don't waste no time. They don't rush you. They make sure everything's done right but they are professional, so they can do it quick. I am very impatient so I appreciate them being able to get me in and out with such a good quality job. I have zero complaints and highly recommend them. Unfortunately the only thing I can really comment on is the dip powder personally but I've seen other clients nails and they look amazing! read more

One of the worst pedicures I've ever had, didn't even clean beneath my nails. All my nails are different shapes, horrible just horrible. I do not recommend this place at all. She didn't even remove the skin around mytoe told her three times she did not file my nails, my toes nothing just horrible. Tried to upsell me to the $38 pedicure didn't even do the $32 pedicure. UGH. I went to get a dip, and the first thing I said to Tony was "are you sure this white Glitter color will be actually solid white, and not see through?" And he said yes. Fast forward to after he finished the last coat of dip. Totally see through. I told him "I thought it was solid" and he said no, I guess not. I then said "well that sucks..." and he said "well it looks like French" and that was the end of the conversation. No trying to make it better. No trying to have me leave satisfied. If a customer doesn't like their nails, rule of thumb...YOU FIX THEM TO WHAT THEY ORIGINALLY ASKED FOR! Not to mention he left parts of my old dip underneath a few of my nails which I cant get off. ALSO, the dip is so uneven on a few of my nails. Some look EXTRA see through, others don't. Literally crap that he wasn't willing to fix. VERY upset about this establishment. read more

I just finished getting my nails done. Jessica did a wonderful job. She knew I wanted something different for the 4th, I had described what I thought I wanted, but she had a better idea. I really like her and the shop is clean and pretty. Everyone there seems so nice. I called ahead for an appointment and they were able to accommodate me on short notice. However as soon as I sat down my experience was less than pleasant. I went in with dip nails, about 4 weeks of outgrowth, so my nails were quite long. There was no consultation process he just started filing and started soaking right away, which was not an issue but had I not asked he wouldn't have touched the length of my nails. After he was finished wrapping my last finger with the acetone cotton in foil I had been there almost an hour. Removing my old dip gel was messy and he didn't remove it all, as you can see in my picture. Furthermore whilst he was filing my pinky finger he cut me and said nothing even after I pulled away. I was there 2 hours total. Today (ONE day after) I snapped my pointer nail. This happened when I was changing my clothes, not doing any physical labor. Will not be returning. read more

I just started coming to this nail salon on the recommendation of my manager. I was very impressed. The color of the place is very soothing. That may not seem important but it actually is when you are having your nails done. I NEVER had a fill last 4 weeks with NO broken nail. I wear my nails long and often in the past had to have one replaced ever 2weeks. I literally went 4weeks without breaking a nail. What does that tell you??? They have HEPA Healthy Air machines at every station. The only salon I have ever seen this is at Arden in Deerfield. I would recommend this place above all in McHenry. Especially with children. Who wants their little girl breathing in all those chemicals. read more

I went to this salon because my regular nail stylist is out of town and I really needed a fill, so I went and the guy I got did a really good job and shaping, filling and the length is perfect. But when it came to the polish (I picked a forest green) he didn't use base coat and the top cost was really thick and as it started to dry I noticed it was starting to bubble in places on my nails. He also missed parts of my nails on the second coat so there are some bare spots and the polish is already starting to wear off the tips and I got them done yesterday. The place was clean ish, if I'm being honest, and the customer service was meh. I won't be going back there again, personally. read more

The worst salon I ever been. Very unprofessional. Please go anywhere else. Crazy woman broke part of my toe nail and she said its a skin. Its was really painful, now I put antibiotic on my toenail . She said I have to buy for $2 file. Really? Her job on my full set is horrible looks really ugly, each nail has uneven shape and gel application. Save your money and go anywhere else. I (over)paid for a no chip mani and it definitely was not what I got. 2 days later i had polish chipped of two of my nails. I have been getting strictly no chips for years. They peel off, not chip. When i went back she got out a book to show me that they do not offer refunds. When I said I had not been shown this, she said she was showing me now. They me with no option but to let them fix it. I didn't want any of them touching me again, but I also didnt want to be out the over 50 bucks I had already paid. They also make you zelle the money directly to them instead of running your card, leaving you no way to dispute the charge. All around shady, do not recommend, and will not be back. I suggest you stay away as well. read more

To the person in charge, Very disappointed in lack of communication and service. You should give your clientele a time frame when they will be able to get the service done. ( wait time if no one can take them right away) so they can decide if they have time to wait or not) First my daughter gets there. Waits over and hour then is told where to go and have a seat to get her nails done. Another person came in after her and was taken before my daughter. Oh the girl they took before my daughter was a walk in as well. The gentleman gets up said he would be right back. Grabs his cell phone and never returns and has a little girl go up to my daughter to tell her that he is eating and will be out in awhile. I came here a few times and loved it. They do good work however they will forget you.. my sister made an appointment for 3 pedis and a gel fill for me. They said sure not a problem come in. So we did. My sisters are getting their pedis and I figured I would wait a little to get my fill.. well I'm still waiting 45 mins later. I'm sitting and waiting and even TALKING ABOUT WHAT COLOR I WAS GOING TO GET IN FRONT OF THE EMPLOYEES. I've seen 3-4 people be seated before I was when I had been WAITING for now an hour! I got up went to the amazing Mexican restaurant called La Michoacana for food and told them I wasn't getting my nails done anymore. My sister asked and they said "was she suppose to be getting a gel fill?!?" My sister kindly said yes i asked for a gel fill appointment on the phone and they then spoke to each other in surprise and said "we can see her now.." lmao hell no. I already left. I used to go here all the time, and then they started using different, cheaper no-chip polish. Now, if they stay on three days, I'm lucky. Add to this the fact that Jessica really has her favorites -- I've waited almost forty-five minutes for my APPOINTMENT because she opted to take a walk-in -- and the fact that she's often distracted, and I just can't go back. On my last visit, I had an appointment for a no-chip mani and a pedi. Jess was overbooked once again, flew through my pedi, and foisted me off on someone else for my mani. The pedi was so bad that two of the nails had polish come off in one giant sheet forty-eight hours later. Their pricing is competitive, but it's not worth it to be treated like you don't matter and to have them use cheap, crappy polish. Just go somewhere else. read more

What a great place. I walked in was greeted with a friendly smile waited no more than ten minutes to be seated for my pedicure. Technician was amazing was served bottled water, another worker walked around and offered bakery cookies. The atmosphere was relaxing spa music no tv on. The mgr walked around a few times to make sure that the tech was doing a good job on my pedicure. A lot of laughter friendliness would highly recommend. After visiting two bad places Signature Nails and Mchenry Nail and Spa this place was a breath of fresh air. Will be going back read more
