    Blackened chicken tacos

Farrens has been a treat for many years, 25 or so to be exact, in 3 different locations. This new location is easily the best, just a gorgeous setting and we'll worth the time and effort it took to get it open. Plenty of parking in the lot immediately south of the building as well. I love the food but specifically the chicken tacos (I request them blackened). These are delicious, spicy and full of chicken, onions, lettuce, tomato and wonderful fresh soft shells. Highly recommend!

Farren's moved to its new location and it has such a classy high end feel to it! I had Farren's multiple times 2021-2022 and thought it was the best burgers in CU. It has been a couple of years since I last came and honestly it was just not the same. The burger was dry and it did not taste like the "best burger in CU" that I once remembered. The fries are still amazing and crispy!

I love this place so much. I used to frequent when I lived in Chambana 10yrs ago. I recently went back to visit for work and I HAD to get my favorite burger and cilantro feta pesto on the side. It was all still the same, just new location (for me). I miss this place so much and I'm glad I got to visit again. It won't be my last time.

Green Chile Burger -- super juicy and delicious!

This place used to have phenomenal burgers. I would always order the green chili burger. The burgers have become more bland and dry. The service is good, it's a nice and casual sit down or you can come for a special occasion if you feel like it. But overall, I wouldn't say this place stands out in particular.

    Chicken Taco

I liked the atmosphere and staff at this establishment. I think the chicken taco could be improved upon. The sauce tasted like a spicy BBQ. I strongly believe a spicy mayo sauce would have worked better. I will say the amount of protein given was sufficient if not surplus, so that was nice. Additionally, the salsa provided was half-frozen. It felt like it came from a bottle. I would visit this place again but not for the tacos unless the sauce was changed.

Excellent corner bistro serving a large menu, we loved the burgers! Saturday dinner drop in with four friends to fix our appetites, found friendly service, large oddly European made atmosphere, and good brews and drinks. Enjoyed ourselves and small talk with our waitress, we ordered burgers and could not complain! I did a brisket chili made a perfect drowsy winter day side. My falafel burger was uniquely tasty, lots of going on between the party and various black olives and onions. Highly recommend and the others liked theirs too, wished we had room to try the appetizers and desserts but can see ourselves coming again.

My husband and I stopped into Farren' s Pub and Eatery while we were in Champaign for a wedding. I was impressed by the look of the restaurant. It's divided into two rooms, a bar area and a dining room area. I got the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and my husband got the Spicoli burger (hamburger with bacon and caramelized onions) with fresh potato chips. The pulled pork had a great flavor without being overly sauced. The burger had a great fresh taste to it, as did the potato chips. This was a fantastic meal at a really good price. When I come back to Champaign, I will come back. I highly recommend Farren's Pub and Eatery!

I have no idea of how I never went here in all my years of undergrad at Champaign. The large tasty menu, very reasonable prices, fun atmosphere, and personal service make this a fun place to visit. The bar is particularly nice, with cool lights and lots of bottles on display to make a cool place to hangout. However, the real standout feature is the food. The Spicoli burger is probably one of the best I've had in the Midwest. The delicious fluffy bun is hardly large enough to fit everything inside. This is why you may want lettuce, tomato, and pickles on the side so that you can enjoy the condensed mountain of flavor you'll get in the fatty bacon, earthy sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions, and cheese. Surprisingly these don't distract from the very tasty patty itself which is seasoned nicely with a good char on the outside that helps to really seal in the delicious juices inside. Every element of this dish really helps to demonstrate the high quality ingredients from top to bottom. This goes great with their house-made chips which are perfectly crispy and bursting with flavor as well. I was also very impressed with their pulled pork sandwich which is very tender with about the perfect amount of fat and a flavorful sauce as well. This goes well with the crispy and delicious sweet potato waffle fries. Overall, they do American comfort food well and provide an elevated version of your favorite dishes that's certain to delight your palate.

I know their burgers are good but as a non-burger fan I still like coming here for the different chicken sandwiches, salads and specifically, that ahi tuna appetizer. Always hits the spot!

    Mushroom Cheeseburger
    Taimoor T.

Had the mushroom cheeseburger. The goat cheese sauce was very good. Dont recommend the fire burger though. Only taste of jalepenos, felt bland. For people avoiding meat, the mock chicken burger was amazingggg! Hard to believe that that wasnt meat.

Ate at Farren's with a big group. Food was excellent and would strongly recommend the sweet potato fries.
