On our visit, the complete staff was very friendly and attentive. During our stay, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. We plan to return again to enjoy this wonderful property, food and staff.

The chicken sandwich is huge and all probably could've shared 2 as we ordered 4 of them. We tried to order the guacamole as an appetizer for the table, but they were sold out along with the other vegetable option we wanted. Limited options for m vegetarians except plain house salad. We ordered two bottles of wine, and it was simply brought to the table for us to pour ourselves, which was surprising for such a nice looking establishment. Service was fine. We were all letdown by the menu. Hard to find an open door to enter the establishment.

Lunch is tasty -- provided your culinary interests fall into one of two highly curated categories: fried chicken burger or beef burger. Pescatarian options include a Caesar salad stripped of anchovies and truffle fries stripped of truffle. Broccolini and guacamole also appear on the menu -- aspirationally, at least, since both were "unavailable" during our visit. (Pro tip: order multiple side salads with avocado and assemble your own guac tableside.) Outdoor dining is gracious in the sense that if you'd like shade from the blazing sun, staff will warmly invite you to drag over an umbrella stand yourself. Service offers an added adventure. For the full price of a wine-country meal, you get to pour your own wine -- fulfilling the fantasy of anyone who's ever wanted to role play as both diner and server. And when you're finally ready to pay, prepare for a fun scavenger hunt of locating an attendant and accompanying them on a pilgrimage to a POS system hidden near one of the mystery doors.

Food is amazing and the ambiance has that local feel that makes this place special. Get the wings. Can't go wrong with them. Love the crispyness and meatiness of the wings. My go to is the killer prime rib with a side of Au Jus. So freaking good. They have good selection of beers on tap and cocktails are good quality and strong. They even adjusted one for my wife who was worried it would be to sweet. Very accommodating. Loved sitting outside in their huge sitting area. Must not let years pass before returning.

We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, onion rings, and an order of fish and chips, alongside two flavored lemonades. Chicken was unremarkable--unseasoned, not marinated; unfortunately a bland and slightly tough piece of chicken. Came on a nice brioche bun with the caramelized onions being the best part of the dish (and meal). Our fish and onion rings were overly greasy. The fries were tasty and seemed fresh but unsalted and wilted beneath the fish and could have been crispier. My partner thought the sweet flavored lemonades were from a mix and there was no pulp. No pics. Seems the de rigueur order here is chicken wings, which we don't order. Would be a great place to hang with friends for drinks and conviviality; very casual vibe. But foodwise, our experience was very middle-of-the-road.

On the wall was a chalkboard with the list of local farmers and vendors that they used to supply their restaurant. I loved how fresh and flavorful all the food was, but I loved their collaboration with small local business owners to provide them with things like eggs and dairy. I had an omelette with spinach, caramelized, tomatoes, chicken sausage, and goat cheese. This was one of the most delicious bites I've had at a breakfast spot in a long time. We also shared an order of beignets that came with some fresh apple butter, which was to die for! It felt like taking a bit off fall weather if that makes sense. My boyfriend had some biscuits and country gravy with a side of sausage and fried eggs. He loved everything that he ate as well. He also had a bloody Mary, which was made with Soju. The flavor and quality was top notch and you hardly missed the vodka from the drink. Our server was very friendly, and he offered some insight into the quality of the Soju and the vendors that they work with. I just really loved the care that this restaurant put into not only service but the food that they're producing.

We ordered huevos rancheros with orange juice, and a caprese sandwich with a side of soup. The eggs were tasty, but it wasn't very hearty. I was hungry again within an hour. Lots of colorful sauce arranged around the dish, most of it wasted. The sandwich had the aoli, even though The Wife asked for it without. The sandwich was hearty, but kind of a mess. Assembled like someone wanted to leave. The space is attractive, with interesting local art on the walls, but frankly the prices ($20 for the eggs, $27 for the sandwich, $7 for a small juice) were out of line.

The ambiance is casual, and the service was great to throw some tables together for our large group without advance notice. Our server was Heather, and she took great care of us the whole meal, which lasted almost three hours! Never a rush for a birthday party. For food, we always have our favorites here: the wedge salads (whole and half!) and, for appetizers, the Frickles, Kin wings, and calamari. We also had some other great dishes, such as the YBC burger (Certified Angus Beef patty, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onion, on a toasted brioche bun), the Dip (Thin sliced, slow-roasted top round, melted Grand Cru Gruyere cheese, smoked horseradish cream, toasted hoagie, garlic au jus), and a Michelangelo (two 4oz burger patties, American cheese, house aioli, house-made pickles, lemon pepper bacon and onion jam, crispy potato strings, lettuce, and tomato on a toasted brioche bun) - truly a masterpiece! I also grabbed two pizzas to take home: the Mac Daddy and the Smokehouse. Their mac n' cheese as an entree is great too, but not this visit! We tried some adult beverages as well, and the margaritas this visit were a disappointment - very bitter. The Mai Tais were amazing, by comparison, and soon several of us found a new beverage to enjoy. All the food was great, and the Frickles were well-fried and hot, but not greasy at all. The wedge salads are substantial, so a half for us is usually enough as an entree when taken with all the appetizers. And again, Heather was a great server for our needy group! Thank you! Looking forward to the next road trip to Windsor.

On a lazy Saturday afternoon, I visited and was promptly seated and served. I enjoyed a romaine salad, my son enjoyed the mac & cheese - his favorite anywhere - and I had a burger with fries. The burger came with white cheddar cheese and bacon, with chipotle ketchup, regular ketchup, and aïoli on the side. I had a glass of Chardonnay, and the wine list is what you would expect from a Sonoma County restaurant. By the bottle or by the glass you are assured of a good selection. Nothing you order here will disappoint you. The dining room is a rustic space with a lot of wood appointments. There's a nice long classic bar. And there's an outdoor patio where you can eat and enjoy the beautiful weather. If you're anywhere near the place, you owe it to yourself to visit Underwood or a lovely lunch or dinner. Worth noting though: it gets very noisy. The menu offers an interesting mix of Thai and French cuisine - not quite fusion, but rather two distinct menus side by side. Think of it as a safe bet for groups with different cravings. The portions are decent and the prices are in line with typical Bay Area standards - not a bargain, but not outrageous either. Unfortunately, what brought my rating down to three stars was the service. For a relatively simple meal - oysters to start and one entrée each - the pacing was surprisingly slow. We waited nearly 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared, another 10 for the dessert menu, and after an additional 15-minute wait we ended up canceling dessert altogether, as the evening had stretched to two hours and we had a long drive ahead. To be fair, the tables around us seemed to have a smoother experience, so perhaps we caught them on an off night. I'd like to give them another shot, but I'm leaving with mixed feelings that honestly reflect a three-star experience - great bones, but the service needs work.

We ordered the buffalo wings as well as the steak and frites and their chicken Philly sandwich. The steak plate was pretty good and the wings were also relatively good. The steak does have chimichurri on it and the salad is really good as well or the coleslaw. I can't remember what it came with. The wings taste pretty fresh and they do give you blue cheese and ranch with them, as well as vegetables like carrots and celery. However you are paying $17 for eight wings just a heads up. My friend personally did not enjoy the chicken plate. She felt like the chicken did not taste fresh but quite frankly, we were unable to get our waiters attention throughout our whole time seated there so at the end, we decided to just leave it without saying anything. The service is the reason for the lower rating. I think the food was pretty decent, but the service was not up to par. Service here was mediocre. I will add that I do not say that lightly and I normally do not like saying that about restaurants. I normally understand when service is off if the restaurant is full however this restaurant was pretty empty. At first our server came around twice and then we ordered and once after she brought out the waters. My friend had to ask her twice to bring a lemon for her water because it seems that the server forgot, although from what I could tell, she was really only serving our table and maybe two others. When the food came out I asked if she could refill my water. She said she would be back with more water. However, she literally did not come back until 30 minutes later and that was after my friend had to flag her down and ask her if she could bring us more water. I should also say that this was after we had finished the entire meal, which at that point water was really not necessary. What really pushed the experience over the limit was the server mentioning to us when we were paying that she got off the clock early because it was so slow. Meanwhile I sat there wondering if this was the reason that her service was so awful. While sitting there eating, I did notice that in general service was a problem for this restaurant... I noticed another customer walked in and sat for a while and wasn't spoke to. When he asked them if they were still serving food, he was responded to rudely. I also noticed another customer asked in regard to the menu and another server told him that the menu was over there on the other side without giving any direction. Aesthetically speaking, the spot is really cute. There's a lot of lights. They have a lot of plants however, based on the service, I don't think I would come back here. My friend who has been coming here for many years was actually shocked at how bad the service was today and said that this was pretty abnormal. Who knows maybe it was an off day. Either way after being unattended for more than 30 minutes and ignored it didn't really leave any reason to come back here again.
