Upon entering I loved seeing the old wood paneling and green vinyl seats. Such a nostalgic feel to the place. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy their breakfast and we all left satisfied. I personally had the 2 eggs breakfast with sausage patty with biscuits and gravy. The sausage patty seemed homemade as it didn't have the look or taste of your typical frozen patty. The eggs were cooked to a perfect medium. The biscuits and gravy stole the show. I like to consider myself a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy as I try it at just about every place it's offered and this one might just make the top 3. The biscuit was fluffy and dense but also a little crispy on the outside. The gravy was flavorful and full of sausage, no skimping here. I also tried my dad's chicken fried steak and my mom's zucchini bread. Both were divine! Happy we stumbled upon this spot and would gladly come back.

Disappointed by the menu choices. It seemed like they started with traditional diner food, then…read morethought outside the box to add ingredients not usually paired - but forgot to check whether it tasted good. At least, that's what I thought about my scramble with mushrooms, ground beef and spinachd. It sounded good, but sprinkle really nice grated sharp parmesan on top and it just didn't taste right - until I scraped the parmesan off, then it was OK. One big plus, though - the hot zucchini bread, moist and cinnamony.

What we got was freezer burnt ice cream, a couple small Boston creme donut things from Safeway or a similar grocery store, more whipped cream and chocolate sauce, and another grocery store lemon pie slice with whip cream and more chocolate sauce. There was chocolate sauce on my debit card that was given to me. Overall the food was great ! Just avoid the dessert. That was not worth $20.. everything was freezer burnt and that was not the desserts on the picture nor was there a description of it being available desserts. Also our server told us when one item was not going to be fully available, the same was not done for our dessert.

So, my wife and I thought we'd give it a try. So glad we did! We sat at the bar, even though there was plenty of seating, and were addressed by the server promptly. We ordered a chicken sandwich to share and the soup flight. The sandwich was great and the soups were really great! All three of them. I had a really good huckleberry cider and my wife a citric IPA. We both like our drink. As a bonus, they have several TV's to watch sports games on. They have a small patio for the warm days. We will be back for sure to enjoy good food, service and a fun time.

Not only is Izzy's a gluten free cafe, the food is next level. Inventive, fresh, flavorful and a blend of traditional favorites with modern twists. I was torn between the shrimp and grits and the Virginia Benedict. The fried Green tomatoes instead of a traditional English muffin sounded too delicious to pass up. It was perfectly portioned, seasoned and balanced. Beautifully poached egg topped with micro greens and tangy pickled white onions nestled between delicious fried Green tomatoes and blackened shrimp. Creamy, velvety hollendaise brought everything together. My partner had a delicious omelet with Idaho potatoes Oh, lavender mimosas with edible flowers were a nice touch too. Only 44 seats including a small counter, so reservations are recommend. But there is great shopping in the area if you have a wait like we did. This is a must try whether you're gluten free or not. I'll be back for those grits!

My dining experience started…read moreout with my greeting at the front of the {historic bldg. which had been previously a "brothel"} restaurant. Cheerfully greeted and {as I was with a "walker" because of my recent hip replacement surgery} she suggested if I wanted a lower table it would be toward the back. She gave me a menu then momentarily disappeared to get me a room temperature water (delightful) and then we discussed the menu. I then ordered with her suggestions and waited. Not too very long thereafter, my lunch arrived - a lovely surprising portion, colorful, well presented and exactly as I was hoping for. The parmesan halibut addition to my seasonal salad (which BTW is not current on their website but my variation was DELISH) was tasteful and moist. The kale based salad was dressed in a cranberry vinaigrette, but I'd asked for a side of Bleu Cheese as well (my weakness, especially if it's a delightful house made version as this was). I only ate half & took the rest home, as it was large enough for two meals - and @ a price point which was reasonable for this day & age! Thank you to my very caring & hospitable server - she made my lunchtime meal more than I could have expected!!! Go try them, Now!

I said several times I don't eat butter so didn't wash Nashville, she said oh it's a dry rub then when I saw another plate arrive said oh no is that how it comes can we please not put mayonnaise on top of mine for the miso honey. Anyway my plate arrive arrived covered in butter and cheese. Who puts cheese on fries without saying so? So I obviously could not eat any of it. I didn't bother to have them remake it and paid for an un-edible meal but asked her what could I have done differently she said tell us about your allergies and I was like, well I did. I told you I don't eat butter and the cornbread still arrived with the biggest slab of butter I've ever seen. Like wtf? Disappointing. But I will say the pickled vegetables were amazing! 10/10
