Title: Great food, but an absolute hygiene nightmare I really wanted to enjoy a meal at Farmers Boys in Riverside because the food was actually good, but the dining experience was ruined by the state of the restaurant. It was incredibly hard to find a clean place to sit--most tables were sticky, smeared with ketchup and soda, and not wiped down properly. There was even food on the floor and salt scattered around. My daughter finally spotted a clean table, but right next to it was another dirty one, which made it hard to feel comfortable waiting for our food. The bathroom was also dirty, which made the overall experience even more unpleasant. Watching one party leave and another immediately sit at the same unclean table while waiting for their food made it really hard to enjoy my meal. I honestly felt uneasy eating there knowing how poorly the tables and seating areas were maintained. The food itself was good, but the lack of cleanliness made it difficult to digest--not just literally, but mentally. It's disappointing that a place with such good food can't keep the restaurant clean. I hope management takes hygiene seriously, because it really affects the overall experience. They serve breakfast all day and they have a dining room and a drive thru. This is helpful because you can pull up to the window and order a French toast platter with eggs, sub hash browns for meat ,and ride off .My meal was packaged with cutlery and syrup. The General Manager, Jose, let me know thwy were promoting a special on the salad I had just ordered. He waited while I downloaded the app. It didnt show my deal yet but honored it anyway. You guys need to update your hours I drove to 2 different farmer boys in my area that say they are open til 10 and it's closed!!!

At this particular location there is no drive thru just a pick up window. We usually call our order in and pick up. Very convenient when you don't want to go into the restaurant in your pajamas lol. The parking lot is spacious and has designated spots for online order pick up. Located right on the corner of university & Lime St. easily accessible right next to the 91 fwy. Farmer boys had a special BOGO salads offer. If you're a part of their VIP rewards on the app they also had BOGO any item of equal or lesser value with a few exclusions. One offer per customer. The Cobb salad has lettuce, tomato, bacon, hard boiled egg, avocado, carrots, red cabbage, cheese, and chicken. Great value for all you get. Farmer boys has big portions and farmer sized zucchini n onion rings like blue ribbon winners! Their natural burgers are also one of the juiciest bites! Service is always good! This place has good customer service especially when you have employees like Michael that makes sure that every order is 100% guaranteed. I was really impressed with him on how much passion and drive that he has. We definitely will come back not only because we were satisfied but also convenient because we are locals in this area. The crazy thing is that I can't even get this kind of customer service from restaurants that we have been too with very bad service. This gentleman definitely deserves a raise. I'm not sure what his position is there but he definitely must be promoted. I have been a Manager for over 20 years for logistics and I would say you would definitely need him as a leader so locals like us could continue coming back. Again I was really impressed! This review is soley based on the service because the food has been nothing but amazing every single time. Edward, the GM really needs to either reevaluate his job and get another or make sure if he's having a bad day not to bring it into work. I went in to pick up my online order, when I arrived it was just me and a prior customer that was waiting to place an order. Someone else came in and asked if I was waiting in line I told him no that I was picking up. Edward proceeds to ask the guy what his name was for a pickup, the guy tells him he wasnt there for pickup so Edward just turns around and goes back to the register doesn't even care to ask me my name for pickup. He takes the customer that was there before me which is fine I figure he'll get to me next. Nope he goes on to the guy who came in after me. Mind you I'm standing right at the pick up location and I'm 22 weeks pregnant not really invisible but to him I was I guess. He finished the guy who came after me and starts barking orders to his other cashier to get a drink for him she can't hear cause mind you it's loud in there so he proceeds to bark at her, "Mercedes I can't keep repeating myself" and just goes to the next customer. He helps two more people before even looking at me. Also mind you he's at the register right next to the pick up, not across the counter. I know he knows I was there. But he could care less. So my food just sat there under the lamp for longer than it should have... Probably my worst visit there, you'd expect a lot better from the GM.. guess not. read more

This place is very busy around lunch time. I waited 30 mins for my order that was forgotten about. Turns out the cashier cancelled my order instead of changing the double meat for single meat. He was rushing so much and kept asking me double or single about 5 times. Although the burger was really good. Definitely is a great option for those who love cheese. I got the cheese lovers burger melt. If you're on the lunch hour, you will spend most of your time waiting in line and barely any time to eat. She was very patient as well as helpful. Farmer Boys locations are always very peaceful and quiet. The chili cheese fries that I ordered were pretty good. I would say the pastrami that I added on there could have been seasoned just a little bit more but the chili Was delicious and the cheese melted perfectly with a great pull. The food in this location is always SUPER FRESH and well cooked. The employees are very friendly and the service doesn't taken super long. It's a place where you can spend a good period of the time chatting with others and feel comfortable. I definitely recommend it. I order a combo farmer's club sandwich with the onion rings as the side. The sandwich has a really nice sweet sauce that balances it all well together. The onion rings are so warm and very well seasoned that go great with their ranch. The burger was good but tasted like an over priced McDonald's quarter pounder. The fries were good but only warm and could have been sauce from the Jack-in-the-Box down the street, neither are crimes, but neither live up to expectations either.
