Ordered through the drive through and was asked to park. After 20 minutes I went inside and my order was waiting on the counter. Tried a fry and it was barely warm so went back inside. After waiting another 15 minutes the manager brought our food with 2 meal vouchers and apologized. Food is good but the service isn't constant. First time at any Farmer Boys location and I was impressed by how good the food was! We stopped on a Sunday pre-covid and it was super busy! The line was out the door and the drive thru line was crazy. The employee who helped me at the register could've been friendlier and been more patience. Couldn't ask anything without her rolling her eyes. We sat down at the only table available and the table was dirty. The floors were sticky and had straw wrappers all over. The soda fountain area was also unkept. The food was good though so it made everything a little better. I'm glad there's a location opening in Arizona soon! Second time coming to this location and probably be my last. We came in and ordered to eat there and when we got a table is was dirty no one was going around cleaning up. The bathrooms were horrible and the wait for the food took so long we were about to ask for a refund and just walk to Costco next door. The worse was we thought the smell was coming from outside but it smelled like a sewer inside every time the door would open you would catch a smell of it. Lucky we got a table outside were we can enjoy our food. The food was okay not like how it was the first time . We ordered the burger, fish n fries and a Cesar salad all were nothing to rave about. Ordered the Farmer burger combo for my mom... burger.huge! And well dressed with the usual fixings...very shareable....fries were crispy on the outside and hot...got a side of zucchini...four pieces,huge, crispy on the outside...the wait here is usually on the longish side but not this time...about 8 to 10 min...yayyy...they've improved the cook times to fast food standards...great job!!! You know how the burgers on the pictures never look like the one you receive? Not here. They look exactly like the pictures. What a treat! We happened by this restaurant while stopping for gas on our long trip home. We thought it was a fast food restaurant (until we read the cup- "farm food is not fast food") but there was a bit a of wait. They were busy (most likely because the food was so good). It was worth the wait! The restaurant was pretty clean but the stall in the bathroom was so difficult to work, our 8 year old was too uncomfortable to use it. That was really our only complaint. I never knew Farmer Boys was a franchise until I recently looked up franchise business opportunities. Very nice! I always thought there was only one Farmer Boys in the City of Irwindale. I would frequently go there to buy their breakfast burritos during work hours, since I use to work nearby. Yes, that was many moons ago, and Farmer Boys was the place I first got exposed to the my breakfast burrito frenzy. Gosh, I must've lived under a rock for many years before that time. Lol. Ever since then, I became addicted to breakfast burritos. Anyhow, this new location in the East Los Angeles area is not too shabby. I noticed it on my way to Home Depot, and guess what? I made a U-turn! Lol. Their menu is quite large now. They not only serve burritos, but also burgers, salads, wraps, desserts, shakes, etc. I have yet to try their burgers, and believe me I will. So until then, I will only rave about my burrito. It's basically a meal wrapped in a large flour tortilla. I ordered the meat combo breakfast burrito. It consist of bacon, sausage, ham, egg and potato all wrapped together. It's quite large for around $8.00. A bit on the salty side, probably because of both from the bacon and ham. Next time I'll pick one of the two. But definitely worth while as it's so good. Their menu prices are reasonable. You'll probably get a decent good meal (fast food) for less than $10.00. This location seems be most busy during lunch. People kept coming in non-stop. The wait was minimal. Download the app and earn points for free food. You'll get $5.00 to spend the first time after your initial purchase. These apps for credit is becoming more popular at many eateries nowadays. Everybody working there seems very nice. How do I know? It was packed for a Friday afternoon since it was the lunch hour, but they had a handful of cashiers to take orders. Most of the patrons ended up grabbing their lunches and going, which allowed us to score a booth to sit at after placing our orders. I ended up getting the Jr. Cheeseburger with fries and it also came with a kid size drink. There was a soda fountain machine available as well as tea dispensers on the side. Our meal did not take too long to come out and we were ready to dig in once everything got to our table. My mom ended up getting the fish and chips meal, my dad got a B.L.T. and my brother had gotten one of their regular sized burgers. My meal tasted good and I got bits of what my mom had ordered. Food wise I tried the sourdough chicken avocado sandwich and it was okay I guess the fries nothing special, my friends tried the chili cheese fries and they really liked them although they compared them to the chilly served at school lunches but hey everyone has there own tastes! I'm a resident in the area so I frequent this place from time to time. Haven't had any problems until tonight. I also do doordash and today at around 10 pm I had an extremely rude interaction with the lady that was working the front counter, ROSA. Got a doordash to pick up two orders from this location. I arrive within 5 minutes and walk up to the counter. First couple of minutes I'm ignored. They weren't busy because there was only two cars in the drive through and only one group inside of the store that was already eating. After 3 minutes, she says that she'll be right with me. 2 more minutes pass and I finally tell her that I'm there to pick up two orders. With her mockingly attitude, she tells me, "oh we won't have those orders out any time soon" . I asked her how many minutes and she says 15. At the same time , a group of two guys walk in and she takes their order. They go sit down. 10 minutes pass and she goes over to their table to take them their food. Remember that they came in at least 5 minutes after I had and the doordash orders were placed much before I had even walked into the store, so I ask her how many more minutes for the two orders because she had served the people that had walked in and ordered after me. She starts giving me attitude and says that it's their policy to serve the customers that are there in person and that doordash orders don't get any priority. They're finished last. People that order through doordash are also their customers and I, as a dasher shouldn't have to wait 20+ minutes, especially if it's not busy. I shouldn't have to wait until every single person that walks in after me is served. Not only that but while I was waiting, she kept talking to the other coworkers about private information out loud, like about how some people get paid cash there, among other things. I'm sure the establishment wouldn't want this type of private information being said to everyone there. She was completely unprofessional, rude, and had a very "im the boss here and imma step on you, ant" attitude. Horrible customer service. read more
