I hate leaving bad reviews, so, I'm going to do my best to be as kind as possible but truthfully tell my experience. I unexpectedly decided to try Farmer Boys today, for breakfast. I actually planned to go to Starbucks but I saw the sign and a bunch of people in drive-thru and thought, that place just be good and I love breakfast! Anyway, got to the ordering box and the lady welcomed me and told me to order when I'm ready. I said ok and took a few minutes. When I finally thought I decided what I wanted, I said, "Ok I think I'm ready, sorry, this is my first time!" Now, being in customer service myself for over 10 years and having worked plenty drive-thrus..when's. Customer mentions this is their "first time here" that moment is every company's golden window. This is where you can either gain a repeat customer and then some because if they had a good experience, this consumer will recommend to other consumers and boom! However, you can also potentially have an effect that creates the complete opposite response. Unfortunately, little Miss Drive-thru was anything but helpful, she came off annoyed when I asked questions) very possible she wasn't and just very busy trying to multitask..however, thats fast food for you and you gotta be able to handle the pace and maintain a positive customer service attitude) she didn't offer any suggestions and honestly made me WORK for my food...so to speak. So, initial impression...all bad. Then I got my food, they were kind at the window. But boy was it BLAND! I as so freaking hungry too...so it was really disappointing. They threw some hot sauce and ketchup in but no salt, no pepper...nor did they offer it and being a new customer or a first timer how would I know their food is going to be bland and/or know to ask for salt and pepper. Positives? They are fast and the serving portions are nice. Overall, I wont be back and i probably wouldn't recommend this place to a friend. read more

We live in the mountains near Yosemite. It takes us 45 to an hour to get to Clovis sometimes. With so many places to eat, that we don't have in the mountains... we most often come here for burgers and shakes. The staff is friendly, the food is delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. They have a rewards program that is free to join and gives you great rewards. The best part about this place.... Is Channy!!! She's the manager. They say that happiness, friendliness and upbeat attitude starts at the top. That must be true because that's her demeanor and the rest of the staff react the same. Recently after all the times I've been there they forgot to add Bacon on two of our burgers. I left the drive through, pulled over to eat and was told about the bacon missing after the wife and kids ate their burger, so I walked into the restaurant, and that is when Channy took over and provided the customer service that I expect at a $75 dollar steak house not a $10 burger joint. She adamantly insisted since they messed up that she would give me the same burgers for free next time I came. Today I returned as clock work. Went inside and friendly cheerful Channy was there and made our burgers plus I spent $30 bucks more. I will always come here for their food, the quality, the taste and for their customer service. I recently dropped by for some takeout...Burgers and my wife's former favorite...Fish & Chips. The burgers were their usual consistent good quality, but I'm sorry to report that the fish has gone downhill. I reported on this same situation a few years ago because the fillets were cut about 1/3 thinner, causing them to "curl" when fried. This order was overcooked also. I get that Covid has made life miserable for many people and has closed many a business, however, since their fish & chips were the best for the money, this development is disconcerting. Somewhat surprising to say, but they have a couple notches above 90% of all the private and. Chain owned restaurants I've been to within the area. Solid burger, solid fries, good ranch, and good milkshake. I spent $20 at 10 different restaurants within 1 mile of this location. It's gotten to the point, rock bottom, to where Customer Service, contacted twice- via phone and online- ignores you and does not get back to you. I am talking Corporate. I was assured on the phone a distract manager would return my call about the overall hit and very miss nature of this restaurant. Twice now they have ignored me, Flat out. Don't take my word for it friends. I ask you to reach out to their corporate should you have a concern. Judging by the years of 1 star reviews, there's a number of you they just don't give a damn about. Oh believe me I mentioned their yelp to them 43,000 times. They know They just don't give a damn. What irritates me the most is how they have a drive thru but it's basically false advertisement because they make every customer pull around to the front of the restaurant and sit and wait in your car for your food. Then we watched the three groups behind us get their food. I went to the counter to inquire and they said "let me check on your order". Sat back down. Dude. Lol. So I actually ate at Farmer Boy twice in one day. At breakfast and at dinner. Breakfast was great. Great people. I had walked in since we all have read the drive-thru horror stories and are so over the covid life. So I was more than happy to go in each order. Dinner was the nightmare you all have grown used to. Ordered the chicken sandwich and a salad. I sat there from 10:50 to 11:07 waiting for this mind you while you read this. So about 7 minutes into my wait I hear "I didnt get a salad". The kid cook with the backpack on who looked like he wanted to leave already screamed that apparently he didnt get the salad order. I look up as i sit in the seat that is right inside the door to. the right at the manager and the cook who are looking at me, embarassed that I might have heard their faux pas and vocal exchange about their gaffe. I wait another TEN minutes for this salad. Mind you they have closed at 11 already, If anyone is keeping track, the other cook had a hoodie on and looked like he was more ready for smoking weed behind the building than what a proper cook in apron should look like. The salad finally comes up and I look at it and the chicken is cut into huge pieces. The manager agreed it wasnt supposed to be that way. I get home, and I've never seen my chicken sandwiches like this. The f*cking moron put the huge cuts of chicken on my sandwich. Its supposed to be a huge breast of uncut chicken. Which ive gotten, on and off, for 13 years here. Needless to say earlier this morning I got my money back, I yelled at the manager again (they've messed up 100's of times before. ive left and come back and we've done this charade, this dance, several times on and off since they opened in 2007.) I have no problem yelling at the manager b/c she is complicit in allowing this to happen. I call it tough love and these people are just too much anymore. How they're still in business is beyond me. Haven't been here in awhile and wow it was not good! First of all I ordered kid hamburger meals and got cheeseburgers. My kids cannot have cheese and funny thing is this happened last time, which was why we've been avoiding this place. We didn't catch it last time until we got home and had to throw it all away. We went here tonight for dinner and we hadn't been there in a long time. The restaurant was not busy at all. We gave our orders. I ordered a wrap and he charged us for a salad which is $1.00 more. I also had tomato's and dressing left off. I forgot to have the avocado on the side not in the wrap. I went to the counter make sure about the avocado and he said they wouldn't put it on my salad. Salad? I told him I ordered a wrap I even said wrap twice when I ordered it. The couple in front of us forgot their order number and they went after them to put on their table, my husband also forgot ours but instead of coming and giving it to us like the other couple they gave our number to the people who came in behind us (probably 5 minutes later). So we had no number on our table. I counted 7 drive through orders going out and we still had not received our order. The other people who had our number received their orders before we did and when we asked they said ours was next. The tables did not look like they were wiped off and they were out of ice for drinks. I am posting pictures of what the chicken looked like and what the inside of my wrap had in it. I realize everything was hit hard by the pandemic this last year but this was ridiculously poor customer service and quality of food.
