After another restaurant forgot our order we left hungry and wanted something quick. The options were McDonalds or Farmer Boys. We haven't been yet and thought this was the perfect timing to try it out. I had the avocado smash cheeseburger and my husband had a regular cheeseburger. We also ordered some "crispy" French fries. They're signs by the drive-thru guarantee the fries will be crisp when we get home, which they were! Everything tasted good and was still hot! The drive-thru and getting our food took some time, but they do cook the food to order and fresh and that takes time. So disappointed!! My friends and I have eaten here many times. While the service is not super fast it is usually ok. And the food is outstanding. Today we had a table of six. 3 ordered salads and 3 ordered breakfast. 5 of our orders came out very quickly while the sixth, an omelette, still had not shown up after twenty mins!! Went through the drive-thru recently with my boyfriend and this was a good choice for a burger place in Fresno. What makes it so good is the impeccable fries. They are addicting with ranch. Normally Farmer boys is one of my favorites. However I went in for breakfast the other morning and I was not impressed for once. My hash browns are undercooked my eggs were overcooked and my bacon was undercooked. I'm only giving them three stars because they still have amazing burgers and they don't screw those up normally. Farmer Boys is like a drive-thru Red Robin. It has a similar menu (not quite as diverse, but it has burgers, sandwiches, salads, chicken, fish...) and I'd even say the food is comparable, too. The prices are somewhere between fast-food and Red Robin. It's more expensive than most fast- food, but each menu item is at least a dollar or 2 cheaper than a Red Robin, Chili's, Applebee's, etc. entree. The Farmer's Burger is delicious, and so is the BBQ Chicken Ranch Salad! The fries to me taste just like Wendy's fries, which are kinda thick, but not quite steak fries. I recommend that you dine-in instead of going for the drive-thru. Their drive thru usually takes a little while longer than most. However, when you eat in, they somewhat treat you like it's a sit-down restaurant instead of a drive-thru place. They'll offer to re-fill your drink sometimes, and usually come by the table once or twice and ask if everything is ok. I always wonder whether or not to leave a tip, but all they really do is re-fill your drink; you order at a counter, seat yourself, and pick up your own plates at the end, so I decide against it. Solid place for lunch or dinner. I had a breakfast wrap or something or other there once, didn't really care for it, so breakfast is at your own risk. read more

I couldn't finish the cheeseburger and fries I ordered, the food was great the restaurant was nice and clean inside and the customer service was good too. The lady who took our order was real friendly and had a great attitude, the prices for combos are decent too most under $10 the wife and kids enjoyed they meal but they also couldn't finish theirs either because the portions were big, I will definitely be back but next time I might starve myself before hand so I can finish my plate hahaha read more

The cooks were messing around so loud I couldn't hear the girl taking out order and at one point after we sat down one if the cooks got up behind the girl taking orders and was rubbing all over her. Disappointing. After a very long day, I was treated to take-out from this location by my amazing husband, who ordered for me a Sourdough Chicken Avocado sandwich, fries, and a soda. He also ordered a cheeseburger combo for himself. We spent just shy of $20.00...which I consider pretty expensive for two fast food drive-through meals, especially since, for the same price, you could go to a sit-down burger place and get an amazing meal for two. We both agreed that while crispy(a plus), the fries had absolutely no seasoning (I mind less than my husband, because I can always fix that at home). My sandwich was disappointing for three major reasons: 1) NO AVOCADO was on the sandwich. Most places charge $1.00 extra or more for avocado. Oh yeah..and Avocado is in the sandwich's name. I want my dollar back. 2) The chicken was small, unevenly divided between the two halves of the sandwich, and very dry. It would be a generous estimate to say that the chicken breast covered 2/3's of the size of the bread slices it was between. It was cut so that most of the chicken breast was on one of the sandwich halves, leaving a dismal nugget of chicken (actually the size of a chicken nugget) for the second half of the sandwich. There was more tomato on that half than chicken (EPIC FAIL). 3) The bread was soggy (even though it had been toasted). I would usually give credit to the restaurant for this, since food can become soggy between picking up and arriving home, but upon inspection, only one side of each slice of bread had been partially toasted. The only plus for this sandwich was that the bacon was burned to a crisp--which is exactly how I love bacon. For those of you who prefer soggy bacon--keep this in mind. If it were just me, I'd give this place one star...but my husband says their burgers are alright. Life's too short to eat poorly made overpriced food. Went Christmas shopping with the family and built up a BIG appetite by dinner-time, so my son suggested we stop and eat at Farmer Boys which was right near us. He had eaten there once before and had really enjoyed it. I was a little skeptical, because I was really hungry and we had planned on going to a restaurant for a bigger meal. I really wasn't sure this place was gonna fill us up, but I was wrong! We had just arrived there on time too, because just after we ordered a large flow of customers came in. The staff is very friendly, which was very relaxing and nice after battling Christmas shoppers and drivers lol. The prices are very reasonable and the food was very good and very filling, they even added a chocolate chip cookie. What a pleasant surprise! The drive-through was also non stop the whole time we were dinning. So this all tells you Farmer Boys is a great place to eat. If only the hamburger buns and cookie were a little more warmer and toasted it would of made the meal even more over the top awesome! Over all, we were satisfyingly content and full. Wanted to get a small thing to munch on before dinner so stopped by with my girlfriend, everyday they have something called "happiest hours" which is 2pm - 5pm which had a nice selection of items off the menu to snack on. We ordered the fried zucchini, onion rings, chicken strips, and chili cheese fries with onions. After we paid, we were told to wait in the front and given a number, no big deal everything needed to be made. So we waited for about 10 minutes and finally got our food. Once we looked into the bag we saw that it was ripped and thought oh it's just the grease and steam from the food. It was exactly the grease from the zucchini, I don't understand how these were made fresh and came out that way, it was absolutely greasy and unappetizing. We've had it before from other places and here yet this place disappointed me. The onion rings on the other hand were crispy. I don't know how the zucchini didn't come out that way. The chili cheese fries were good, had lots of the chili and it as meaty! The chicken strips were crispy as well but at the drive thru box we had requested bbq sauce and ranch there was no bbq sauce even after the order was repeated to us. I love coming here. They have burgers, salads, breakfast, chicken and turkey sandwiches, onion rings, fried zucchini, and fries. What's not to love ? I usually get something different everytime I come here and it is all good so far. The employees are usually friendly. I like coming here when I have studying to do for work cus I get some good food and if you don't come during the dinner rush it is pretty quiet. They also have a drive thru so that's badass. I tried their burger last night and it was super good. The breading comes off the fried zucchini and onion rings but that doesn't stop me from going beast mode haha. Nice location.
