    Mac and cheese

Was walking around union station and saw this truck along with a few others. The workers were extremely nice and offered my dog some water and a small bacon treat. Decided to order from here and had the Mac and cheese. It was good, the pork on top was better and the bbq crispy crumbles made it. I would give this a 5 star rating but the chips my girlfriend got tasted burnt even though looking at them they were fine. I know some others mentioned issues with the chips and if that could get taken care of that would make this place a must try.

This is how much I like Farm Truk. I drove 20 minutes to a random neighborhood to get a burger. I actually first tried their food at Enterprise, which as far as I'm concerned is a hidden gem for us 300 level folks. Now, their truck doesn't have their delicious nachos (those and their tacos are among the best food options at EC), but they do have the brisket mac and the delicious burgers. That brisket Mac just might be the best option on their menu, but I've yet to eat anything I didn't really like here. During Covid, they've been stopping in random neighborhoods, but they've also made it to 9 mile in Affton. If you happen to run across these guys, I would highly recommend stopping by.

Order: Brisket Chipotle Cheddar Mac n Cheese w/ Green Onions | Apple Pie Omgomgomg I saw the Brisket Mac n Cheese on the menu, I saw the crazy long line & decided to brave it at the Fall Harvest Festival in Tower Grove Park and I am soooo glad I did!!! It was a revelation!!! Highly recommend if you stumble across this food truck to treat ya'self & probably toss in some Apple Pie too, cuz you're worth it! The gal who was taking orders was so sweet & on top of things! They're running a really wonderful business & I hope St. Louis gets to keep enjoying their gorgeous food forever & ever!!!

Had their brisket Mac and cheese when they were in Forest Park last weekend and it was awesome. Best food truck there in my opinion because they had big portions and restaurant quality food with great flavor! Lots of good options on the menu that weren't super basic: fried green tomatoes, burgers, tacos, etc. my friend got the tacos and loved them. Good prices and big plus- accept credit cards. Will be back when I see them next!!

I went to Florissant food truck night tonight and Farm Truk food truck was there. I had recently saw a pic of the soft shell crab BLT and it looked really good. I have never tasted crab so I thought this would be a good time to try. I paid $15 for this sandwich and it included some chips. The chips were very plain and could use a tad more salt. The sandwich came with an avocado spread but I requested the basil aioli instead since I don't like avocado. It should have came with onions on it but there were none on my sandwich and only one tomato slice. The toasted croissant was really good. I learned I'm not a fan of crab due to the fishy aftertaste.

Really nommy food and such kind staff! Highly recommend. Ordered online, was ready exactly on time, and everything was delicious! So easy to support local, small business when Farmtruk is behind the wheel!

Encountered this food truck at a festival and decided to give it a try. I was very pleased with the burger. Was prepared quickly but still had good quality.

Most places ignore this, but everyone that we came in contact with knew and wished us a happy anniversary. Our server (Allie) even had a special treat for us, so we started our night with a champagne toast! She was friendly, attentive and great to talk with. We had a couple of questions that she help answer right away. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we got to sit upstairs away from most of the noise. Now, the food! First, we ordered way too much. We tried the pear and fig flatbread and split a Mayfair salad. The salad was not what we expected but the flatbread was great! Try that if you have the chance! Both of our drinks (the sangria and Sicilian manhattan) were delicious and looked great. Main courses we tried were the smoked pork chop and the cauliflower pasta with grilled chicken. Both had great flavor and were presented well. Not pictured is the flourless chocolate torte that we got to go. This was incredible and super rich! We split it and still thought it was overwhelming, in the best of ways! Great place for special occasion dinners or important lunch meetings!

The restaurant itself is quite small and is located on the other side of Yellow Belly. The entrance has minimal space that looks to be able to accommodate 4 or 6 people if you're waiting for a table. Inside, the spacing is fairly decent for being a smaller location. I didn't feel too crammed dining and the 2-seater table was of normal size so there was enough room. We were seated right by the entrance with a curtain separating the area. True to its name, a Tiger statue sits at the entrance which is decorated in tropical manner. The theme continues within the restaurant. Lazy Tiger has a happy hour which if I remember correctly, ended at 6:30. Their cocktails are $12 during happy hour (rather than $14) and they have a selection of snack type items which you could have as appetizers if you'd like. We both got a cocktail. My husband had the human costume (gin, amaro, blanc vermouth, melon, gnartruese, malic acid) and I had the humble brag (gin, rhum, salted banana, forbidden rice, coconut, lemon). Both were refreshing and different but in a good and surprising way. We started with the nachos from the happy hour menu and added some pork belly per our writer's recommendation. I love pork belly anything anyway. The nacho was a huge serving! And it was very tasty with a good amount of crispy pork belly peppered throughout. I had the Morrocan spiced halibut served with couscous, asparagus, Spanish chorizo, tomatoes, pistachio dukkah. Halibut was well seasoned and prepared perfectly. We also shared an order of the vegetable fried rice and added some spam because I am a sucker for spam fried rice. It came with some chili crisps which brought the dish to another level. My husband had the tamales which he thoroughly enjoyed. I didn't get to try some but it looked fantastic. We ended up taking home the rest of my meal and the rest of the fried rice which have been devoured over the weekend. Service was fantastic. I love the vibe, I love the food!

I literally live a 4 minute walk from here and have no idea why it took me this long to check it…read moreout. I took my boyfriend here last night for his 24th birthday celebration, and boy did it exceed every expectation. When we first arrived, we were taken aback by the waterfall feature at the front door. We genuinely thought we were at the wrong entrance. Turns out it was entirely intentional, and in the excitement of the evening, we forgot to ask about the story behind it. A fun little mystery to solve on our next visit. We arrived about 30 minutes early and were welcomed warmly from the moment we walked in. The staff gave us a lovely intimate table with a great view of the restaurant's eclectic decor and designs. The ambiance struck the perfect balance, lively and engaging without being so loud that we could not have a real conversation, which for my partner and me is genuinely one of the most important aspects of a dining experience. Since we both work incredibly busy schedules, this was not only a birthday celebration but our first proper date night in quite a while, and the atmosphere made it feel truly special. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary prosecco for the birthday, something we were absolutely not expecting and deeply appreciated. On the drinks side, although I am not personally a big drinker, my boyfriend loves exploring new spirits and cocktail combinations. The bartenders were fantastic: knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely enthusiastic about their recommendations across both wines and spirits. They made the whole experience feel curated rather than transactional. Now, let me tell you about Jelly. Our server Jelly was, without question, the highlight of the entire evening, and that is saying a lot given how spectacular everything else was. I have a severe pineapple allergy, and if you dine out with food allergies, you know the usual routine. The server writes it down, maybe glances at it when the food arrives, and you spend the whole meal quietly hoping for the best. Jelly was on an entirely different level. She went completely above and beyond, meticulously checking every food option and wine pairing to ensure nothing contained pineapple and that there was zero risk of cross contamination. When a wine bottle did not clearly list its ingredients, she did not guess or assume. She looked it up on the internet right then and there to confirm it was safe for me. That gesture might sound simple, but for someone with a severe allergy, it is everything. It communicates that she genuinely cared about my wellbeing, not just about getting through her tables for the night. I felt completely taken care of, safe, and able to relax and enjoy myself without the anxiety that usually accompanies dining out with an allergy. Jelly, if you ever read this: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are exceptional at what you do and an absolute asset to Blood & Sand. And now, the food, which was nothing short of breathtaking. From the presentation, to the pacing and timing, to the extraordinary depth of flavor on every plate, the food at Blood & Sand is spectacular and amazing in the truest sense of both words. My boyfriend and I had the 5 course tasting menu with wine pairings. We had originally hoped for the 10 course, but it was not being offered that evening. No matter, because the 5 course delivered more than enough to leave us completely floored. The evening opened with a palate initiator of carrots, goat cheese, and walnuts. I will be honest, I was not excited. Carrots and goat cheese are genuinely two of my least favorite foods on the planet. But I gave it a try and it was absolutely heavenly. A perfect encapsulation of what this kitchen does: it takes ingredients you think you know and transforms them into something you cannot stop thinking about. My absolute favorites of the evening were the tuna carpaccio, the wagyu flank steak, and the pierogis. Each one was cooked and composed to perfection. Everything melted in my mouth and left me wishing the courses would never end. My one constructive note is on the oyster course. I love oysters and eat them often, so I was genuinely looking forward to this one. The portion, two very small oysters with modest accompaniments of horseradish, a small salsa, and lemon, felt a little light even by tasting menu standards. I would love to see either four oysters at that size or two larger ones. It was gone so quickly and felt slightly out of step with the generosity of every other course. That small note aside, Blood & Sand delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I have had in a long time. Every single person on that floor, from the bartenders to the host to the incredible Jelly, went above and beyond to make the night comfortable, fun, intimate, and genuinely special. We will absolutely be back, and next time I will not wait so long given that I practically live next door.

I opted for the bar. Later I did see other guests arrive that were not fancy either, so I felt better. You could be fancy and fit right in, though. Angela was my server at the bar and she was top notch! Giving me time to review the menu but also jumping in to answer questions. I wanted to try a drink and the cocktails look amazing so I will have to come back to try a couple, they had a list of Spirit Free and I went with the Stappi Spritz. It was bright and refreshing with a bit of bitter and I really enjoyed it. So many food options looked good, I took a bit to decide and then went with the Starter of Oeufs et Mayo and would go from there. When it arrived I felt it looked like a dish on a cooking competition show - it was so pretty. Angela indicated a great way to eat it was to get a scoop of everything and put it on the LF grilled bread and that is what I did! So very good! All the flavors went well together, the burst of salty goodness from the trout roe and the grilled bread, fantastic. Even with so many other Plates to try, I will have a hard time not ordering those jammy eggs again. Extras included Crispy Fingerling Potatoes fried with rosemary and served with romesco aioli, they were good and a large enough serving to share. The rosemary is definitely part of the dish but I ordered with the knowledge that I now like rosemary. I also wanted to try the Sage and Fennel Sausage, they were in patty form and the order came with 2 and they were large. It was decent, I wanted more sage and fennel for my taste. Angela set me up with go boxes so I could enjoy my meal again as leftovers! Great food, great service. Can't wait to go back again!
