We were craving sweets so we came here. The place has a very cute look to it, and was packed full of people. There's a counter for ordering ice cream and another counter for food/baked treats. I had my eye on a huge milk chocolate donut and my husband ordered some churros with chocolate. We didn't realize that there was seating upstairs so we stood around like idiots for a minute or two. Once we decided to venture upstairs, there was plenty of seating and more space. The donut was okay, I've definitely had better at local places back home but it wasn't terrible and cost about €3, my husband's chocolate churros were about €6. My kids try milk shake at every place they go. They loved Farggi's milk shake. We had at least times while we were in Barcelona. On our last day in Barcelona, when we went to get milkshake, the girl serving us was less interested in serving. She chose to go glass. When I asked for a glass, she said they are busy and they don't have any. The to go glasses had smaller serving size. So you are paying same €7.10 for a smaller cup. On top of that, my kids didn't like the flavor this time and I agreed as I didn't like it either. As any chocolate loving connoisseur would do when walking by a cafe that was wafting the sweet smell of chocolate, we quickly looked around and searched for that distinctive aroma. We found Farggi literally by smell alone. We walked in and found a delectable array of treats: ice cream, hot chocolate, chocolate with churros, chocolate covered waffles, and other pastries involving our favorite cocoa bean. My cousin and I ordered a chocolate covered waffle (Chocolate con gofre) to share and individual cups of hot chocolate. For a cool day, this was the PERFECT treat. We were so glad to have walked by but later on found that it was a chain. That's ok! We still don't get them in the States. The drinks were good. I got a cup of cappuccino, and not only was the appearance very appealing it the taste was very rich and invigorating! It definitely made my morning better. However, the meat sandwich I got was rather disappointing. The bread was hard and cold. There was barely any meat in the sandwich. Also, the staff weren't too friendly. Yikes. I'm a crepe connoisseur so I felt obligated to sample and review a Nutella/strawberry Farggi crepe. When I received the crepe, I was impressed by how beautiful and luscious it looked on the plate. Sadly, my awe would soon turn into disgust. As I began consuming the crepe, I noticed that the dough was a bit tough. However, the dough soon became the least of my worries. After eating for about a minute, I had an appalling realization- the crepe was about 20% dough, 5% strawberry, and 75% Nutella. Now, I love dessert and I knew beforehand that this crepe would not be a healthy meal. However, this crepe was so saturated with Nutella that I don't know how I didn't get type 2 diabetes. At one point, I could not continue eating because my entire plate was just a giant cesspool of Nutella. I am so sickened and disturbed by my experience at Farggi. Never again. Great place to get a cheap and quick coffee that isn't Starbucks. 1.5€ for a cafe con leche that saves me from falling asleep in class and if you have some time to eat they have fabulous focaccia and fresh salads. After a long day of walking and eating paella we were looking for something to feed our sweet tooth and we found Farggi on the bustling street of Paseo De Garcias. I noticed a few people sitting on the patio outside eating ice cream and having really nice looking coffee drinks, so instantly I was drawn to this place. The inside looks like a normal ice cream parlor with various flavours but what makes it different are the sweets and unique coffee drinks they offer such as the cappuccino Italiano with delicious carmel & chocolate topping or their Bombo Capritx with all it's layered coffee goodness. I decided to get two scoops of ice cream (raspberry gelato & coffee) on a waffle cone. My sister also ordered an ice cream cone but my parents opted to share a chocolate covered waffle with hot teas. We enjoyed our tasty treats outside in the patio seating area where people watching is great as this specific street is crowded in the early evenings. The croissant was crunchy and tasty (and I usually dislike them). The frappe had just the right amount of coffee to give the chocolate a sharp taste.
