    Ham sandwich

Nice place. Coffee was good. Ordered their Ham sandwich which had plenty of iberian ham with a sort of tomato paste on toast. A little more tomato paste would have been better, as the ham got too overwhelming.

The desserts are great, the location is greater, and the staff is greatest. I definitely recommend!

Artisa is a one stop shop to get your coffee, churro, and gelato fix. They have outdoor and indoor seating. I was craving some churros, having experienced some amazing churros in Madrid and Granada on a previous trip to Spain. I went ahead and ordered chocolate with churros. Chocolate with churros (4 euros) - The hot melted chocolate came in a small glass cup and wasn't sweet at all. It also wasn't as bitter as I thought it would be. 4 crispy churros coated in sugar, about the size of my hand, came in a bag. These were definitely smaller than the other ones I had on my previous trip. They did however go well with the chocolate, although I had a lot of chocolate left over and could have dipped another bag of churros into the hot chocolate. Overall the churros satisfied my sweet tooth, but there weren't as good as the ones I had in Madrid and Granada. But they were better than anything one will find in the U.S. The pricing was just ok, and the quantity of churros given was on the smaller side.

This place was a nice spot to satisfy a sweet tooth after a long day of walking around lovely Barcelona. It is quite small inside and cozy as far as seating goes but there are a lot of customers who select a pastry to go. My sister and I enjoyed the churros, bread pudding with vanilla ice cream and the hot chocolate here. The desserts were really nice and tasty. I didn't much care for the hot chocolate which is very European in that it has the texture of chocolate sauce which is way too rich for me. It's a quaint place that is very busy. It's not really anything fancy or special but the desserts looked and tasted good.

Cute ambience and the folks behind the counter were super kind and attentive. The food was okay, definitely nothing to rave about but I also only ordered the iced latte with an empanada... they had quite a few options along with a gelato station that I'll be back to try because well... it's gelato. Either way stop in for the cute cafe vibes and 1 hour of free wifi!

Items Selected: Mocha Frappe Iberico Baguette Serrano Ham and Brie Croissant Raspberry Croissant Apple Streusel Square Bread Pudding with Rum Syrup Churros and Chocolate Having now checked off several Pastry shops throughout the city and with a long drive back to Valencia following lunch it was after securing street parking near Las Ramblas that a party of two entered ARTiSA just past 08h30 on Saturday, a table fortunately opening up just as an order was placed and the tab was paid with a number provided and table-service soon to follow. Considered by some to be one of Barcelona's more tourist-friendly Brunches, the menu spanning several Spanish classics as well as American mainstays like Eggs, Sandwiches and simple Salads, ARTiSA originally opened in 2009 and quickly made a name for itself thanks to fast service and an accessible location, the in-house Bakery no doubt a focus and turning out more than thirty styles of Cookies, Cakes and Pastries daily. Charging a bit more than other places due to their exclusive use of Organic Milk, Eggs, Produce and Flour, a non-GMO sign prominently posted next to the small Market inside for those who value such things, it was with all items delivered on a plastic tray that Breakfast began with two Sandwiches, the Ham and Brie Croissant one of many border-crossing dishes that fell flat largely because the Pastry itself had been rendered flaccid by re-heating while the crisp Baguette topped with Jamon Iberico faired far better thanks to both the quality of the Bread and the cured Meat. Passing on Coffee from Illy while another enjoyed her hefty Mocha Frappe topped with a spiral of canned Whipped Cream it was with Sandwiches finished that Breakfast continued on to three baked goods plus a bag of lightly cooked Churros served with thin sipping Chocolate, the Raspberry Croissant not much better than its savory counterpart but thankfully quick to be forgotten in the wake of a delicious square of poached Apples, Butter and Cinnamon as well as the warmed-on-request eggy Bread Pudding with Raisins and boozy Caramel Syrup.

Cute small place we stopped at while walking through las Ramblas. We stopped by to have some coffee and tea, needed the caffeine to fight off the jet lag. the place can get busy really fast with only 2 to maybe 3 servers who take orders, buss, cook and do everything there is to do. we were very impressed by how fast they moved and how much attention to detail they were still able to provide. prices are very reasonable. definitely worth a stop.

I was kinda of sad with this place. It's full of Tourist which could be why. The churros where okay and the ice cream was the same as any other place. It is cool inside so if your looking for a place to cool down and have a cool ice cream this is a nice place. The decorations are cute and chic. The servers do have a hard time speaking English so bring on your Spanish!

Artisa coffee shop locates in the center of Barcelona, near La Rambla. I was attracted by its cute artsy decoration and fresh oranges - and plus the thirst for a sweet coffee. The shop is small but has enough space for you to sit and enjoy a small meal or coffee! I've stopped by this coffee shop two times in a week, and it's always full of people - I guess we all love free wifi and good pastry and coffee ( The combo is just nice, isn't it ? ) The services were initially friendly and fast. English was also acceptable here! ( We had not problem to communicate ). All in all, this is just a real cute coffee shop for a quick break and rest your tiring legs from all the shopping, walking and wondering in this amazing city. Highlight : Free wifi Hot coffee Great pastry Clean restroom

We were struggling with food at all the tourist traps along Las Ramblas and Artisa was a fantastic find. Too bad we discovered it towards the end of our trip. As others have pointed out, it's a cafe, gelateria, eatery serving crepes and sandwiches and a small shop selling olive oil, chocolate, herbs, and other artisanal goodies. Everything is fresh and organic and you can't go wrong with anything here. The vibe is young, modern and hip. They music selection is good too and favors more established rock bands. Most of the employees there are young and speak some English, if you so desire. Their coffee comes with a piece of chocolate on the side. That is a very nice touch and worth returning for. The gelato though is just amazing. The sandwiches there are very good but their savory crepes are among the best we've ever had. It was my favorite cafe in Barcelona and one of the highlights of the trip.

Among a lot of mediocre or very expensive restaurants on the Ramblas, is this beautiful space, that looks like you've walked into someones kitchen or cottage. Along the right wall are gourmet food products found in different parts of Spain, but that's not what's exciting about it. They have sweet and savoury crepes, along with pastries and fancy coffees. We had a chocolate crepe with banana, and she used real chocolate chips (not nutella, even though you could do that). There are also a whole bunch of gelato to choose from! Yum, pistachio. They were super friendly!

You have to try churros with chocolate when in Spain. Artisa was the best pick and the staff is so friendly. The decor is adorable and it's nice to just enjoy your stay and take photos as well.

Came here today 1/4/2016. Kinda bummed. They don't have Horchata. And won't have it til March. Oh…read moreman March for real. Passed by three times and finally open and bam sorry we don't carry it. Ugh!! Lady was nice but pretty sad they don't carry it all year long.

Yum.. I'm drooling thinking about their horchata and ice cream…read more I think they're mostly well known for their horchata - I saw people filling up empty liter bottles to bring home (pretty reasonably priced at €4). It's a little different than horchatas you typically get in the US - it's less sweet, a little nuttier.. like someone said in a previous review, it reminded me a lot of Chinese soy drinks. We also had ice cream here - soo delicious! One of the staff told us that the 2 most popular flavors were the almond flavor and the llet merengada flavor. The latter is some kind of milk-based ice cream (it translates to "milk meringue"). They put cinnamon on it. I don't know what exactly is in the ice cream but it was so. amazing. Staff was great - patient and willing to explain the flavors to non-locals. It's a little chaotic there especially in the evening, but they've got a really organized system (you take one of those number tabs like at the DMV, and they call out your number when it's your turn). It was so good we had to come back again another day. Good thing we don't live in Barcelona or we'd be here all the time!
