Fareground has become one of my absolute favorite cafés in Beverly Hills! I visit at least twice a week, and it never disappoints. My usual order is their vanilla latte with that delicious, sweet, creamy foam on top. It's absolutely divine! I also recently tried their rose matcha latte, and wow, it was incredible! Such a lovely combination of flavors. And the food is just as wonderful as the drinks! Their chicken Caesar wrap is one of my favorites, and the Thai steak wrap is equally delicious. Everything I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The service is always fantastic, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It's such a lovely little spot on Roxbury Drive, perfect for grabbing a delicious latte, enjoying lunch, or simply treating yourself to a little afternoon indulgence. After so many visits, I can confidently say Fareground is a Beverly Hills gem. Highly recommend!

thai steak wrap & miso chicken caesar wrap

it was so busy in there so the wait was a bit long. but the staff were so attentive and made sure to keep us updated when our food will be out. they were very friendly too. theres very limited seating so be cautious of that. to order food you have to go to the register instead of the kiosk, which was fine but we just didnt know. the wraps here are HUGGEEE and so filling. the miso chicken caesar wrap was everything we couldve wanted and more. literally can barely finish half of one. we also got the thai steak wrap and it was a tiny bit smaller than the miso pne (still big af tho) but it sooo filling, and yummy. the meat is very flavorful already and we didnt need the sauce on the side. for the matcha SO GOOD. i will say they did give us a strawb matcha instead of the banana one we ordered but we were too shy to correct them. it was still very yummy anyway tho. the coconut matcha was sooo refreshing and flavorful

My friend highly recommended their matcha, so we made a point of stopping by -- but I think we caught them on an off day. They were using a different oat milk than usual, and it made the drink taste pretty different from what she remembered, so I'm not sure we got the full experience. That said, the staff here is SO friendly! We came in near closing time and they still agreed to make our matcha drinks for us, which I really appreciated and definitely didn't expect. Our friend also raved about their sandwiches, which we didn't get a chance to try this time. Next time I'll for sure be back for both the matcha and the sandwiches -- I have a feeling a normal day here is a much better showing!

Ok I cane to try their coffee and debated on food options. I heard alot of hype about Faregrounds and so I se to try it, I only ended up trying the salted vanilla foam latte and honestly it was just decent to me. Thought the coffee could have been better but it was not to me. The service was nice, the man at the cashier was amicable and gave good insight on what to get. The ambiance is like cafe/coffee spot and very small inside. I do want to one back one day tho to try their sandwiches! But after today I hope the hype is correct about the sandwiches. -Marshay D.

Crispy chicken Caesar wrap

I stopped by here for pickup on a weekday just before the lunch rush around 11:30. For some reason I was expecting a larger seating area and space overall. It was coffee shop vibes. Regardless, the infamous crispy chicken Caesar wrap made me pretty happy for a wrap. Just the right amount of crispy and the right amount of miso Caesar. I have had many a chicken Caesar lunch wrap but this is probably the best one I've had. Will be back to try their burritos . Service was good and my wrap was ready 15 min after I called so just enough time to drive over and grab it.

Faregrounds is my go-to matcha spot in West LA. I love my matcha on the sweeter side, and this place isn't too sweet like La La Land but also not insanely earthy and bitter. Their miso chicken Caesar wrap with crispy chicken was also so delicious, and this summer they had a peaches and cream matcha seasonal special that was amazing. I ordered ahead to avoid the line and came early at 7:30am to avoid any crowds but this place deserves all the hype!

Banana cream foam latte = obsessed. Tastes like banana cream pie in a cup, sweet but not sugary, with a fluffy, velvety foam on top. Tasty af. Already planning my next visit.

Salted Vanilla Foam Latte

I have been bamboozled by yet another breakfast burrito. I stopped by for a short rib breakfast burrito as the menu description made it sound really interesting and somewhat unique compared to the majority of those found throughout LA. The menu says this burrito comes with "eggs, short rib, crispy potatoes, fontina, pickled red onions, and gochujang aioli". The cashier also asked me what sauce I wanted which I thought was odd since the burrito already comes with the gochujang aioli, but she offered a cilantro, chipotle mayo, and "hot sauce". I went for the cilantro sauce getting confused and not thinking to ask about the gochujang. I also later found out the "hot sauce" is a calabrian hot sauce and not just any old "hot sauce". If that was mentioned I probably would've tried that but how many people think to ask what kind of "hot sauce" is used when it's not specified to begin with? The cross section looked decent but definitely so little short rib compared to the other photos and tik tok videos I've seen. Naive me should've known these were paid influencers getting special treatment, so obviously they're getting more short rib. The short rib itself had decent flavor but it was just so dry. The potatoes were not crispy at all and more like homestyle potatoes, soft. What really made things worse was the missing gochujang aioli and fontina cheese. There definitely was not any of it in here and I'm kicking myself for not bringing it up to the staff but honestly, it's something that shouldn't be forgotten to begin with. The cilantro sauce was basically sludge and very mild in flavor so it didn't elevate the burrito flavor much. To drink I tried the recommended Salted vanilla foam latte, although not too sweet, it didn't have much flavor. I couldn't help but notice the lack of cleaning too. I sat for almost an hour (9:30-10:18) before I saw anyone clean a table while many people had left tables dirty. Even when I sat at the first table and moved to a second table, I had to clean up spilled sauce, sticky residue, and wet areas on my tables to not dirty my own arms or phone. The space isn't very cozy and the interior tables are crammed together. I asked the cashier if the wi-fi works fine outside and she said the wi-fi "isn't very good and pretty spotty, it usually doesn't work outside". I was hoping to initially try their caesar wrap and ended up here for breakfast so I tried that and was disappointed but now I don't have plans to return for anything else.

This review is for drinks only. I tried the salted maple iced latte and it lives rent free in my head. I dream of this and need to stop by whenever I'm in the area. Perfectly sweet, perfectly creamy, perfectly coffee-ey. SALTED MAPLE LATTE, you'll thank me later.

Caesar wrap

WOW... so the food here is AMAZING! I definitely will give them that... the Caesar wrap was absolutely delicious and thats what i came here for. My problem is the drinks... im not a coffee or matcha drinker at all, but I do love a chai latte, so this is what I ordered. When I got it and took the first taste, I automatically knew there was coffee in it. When I returned it, the girl looked and me and said "of course there is, its a latte... latte means coffee". I kind of blew this comment off and explained that I would like chai tea with milk and she agreed to remake it. What i got next was literally just hot water with a tea bag and foam. At this point I went in and just figured, ok this isnt working, so maybe I can just try a matcha since thats what they seem to do best. When I asked she looked at me blankly and said "sorry we just closed so I cant make anything else... you can come back next time and tell them that I said you could get something for free". She didnt give me her name, offer a refund, and by the way, they had closed 1 minute ago. Literally 1 minute. At this point I had to put the water in the trash and leave. Im sorry, but this was absolutely ridiculous! Don't have something on the menu if you dont even know how to make it properly... or maybe they need better training? It really ruined my experience and makes me question if ill be returning, which is really a shame because I did enjoy my meal.

Banana matcha
Natalia H.

This is one of best banana matcha in the area! It's very hard to find banana matcha which tastes good and not artificial or without taste. So happy I found this place. The sandwiches were fantastic, waited about 30 min for them because place was very busy but I didn't mind. The only thing is they gave me regular chicken to the wrap instead the crispy one I ordered. Taste of everything was fantastic, I'd recommend!

Love it! Chicken Cesar wrap

Their Matcha is amazing as well. They don't open up their food orders till 11am FYI . It's Bv hills so parking is hard to find.

The sandwiches are **made fresh and to order**, with a great variety of combinations--and the best part is that you can customize and substitute ingredients to your heart's content. And those spreads! They have so many good ones, but I'm especially obsessed with the **truffle and mushroom sauce**. We went with **fresh prosciutto**, which paired beautifully with fresh mozzarella, truffle cream, and a little fresh arugula for that subtle peppery/spicy kick. Everything was piled onto their freshly baked bread, and let's just say this is **not a shy sandwich**. The service was friendly, and I really appreciated that they let you **sample different cold cuts and spreads** if you're not sure what you want or haven't tried something before. No need to commit to a mystery meat and hope for the best. The setting is very casual--more of a deli-style café with counters and small seating areas. Nothing fancy, but honestly, when the sandwich is this good, the bread is doing all the decorating. We're not particularly big eaters, so we split one sandwich in half... and STILL had another half to take home. If you're a big eater, this is one **generously stuffed, fresh-baked sandwich** that could keep your mouth, stomach, and general happiness occupied for the rest of the day. So glad I **accidentally stumbled upon this delicious place**! Sometimes the best food discoveries happen when you have absolutely no idea where you're going.

This focaccia-ciabatta pop-up comes from the minds of the now-shuttered Michelin-starred French restaurant Trois Mec. Their mozzarella sandwich drew buzz from the Los Angeles Times even before Bread Head established their first brick-and-mortar location on Montana in 2024. The Santa Monica location is posted up on a boutique-y block of Montana. Outside, metal patio furniture is arranged on a semi-enclosed slatted streatery. Circumferential windows let plenty of light into the industrial-modern space. The left wall is decorated with an eclectic array of vintage posters, funny photographs, and framed accolades. Filamented bulbs hang from the ceiling. The letter board menu is displayed above the ordering counter in the back. Low-key instrumental tunes blend with chatter, while staff members intermittently shout out names for orders. I visited Bread Head for weekend lunch with a few friends, and the line to order was relatively short (it waxed and waned across our visit, occasionally stretching around the restaurant to the door). We squeezed into the last available seats at a communal bar top, and our sandwiches were prepared in about 15 minutes. Broadly, the mound of toppings on each sandwich was precariously perched on Bread Head's thick, poofy, not-overly-oily focaccia. The sauces and spreads were plentiful and generally vibrant, so we didn't end up needing the side of "Club Sauce" (a zingy pepperoncini-horseradish mayo). Our favorite sando was the Muffuletta, sporting an herbaceous and tangy olive tapenade. A close second was the vegetarian-friendly Mozzarella, paired with plentiful alfalfa sprouts and a rich, zingy za'atar sauce. Also solid was the Turkey Pesto with its uber-fresh basil-forward spread. The surprising dud of the lot was the Combo Grinder, which tasted too one-dimensionally like a grocery store hoagie. The sandwiches run about ~$15 each, and a moderate appetite should be able to tackle a whole one. Even our "worst" sandwich was solid; the best ones are crave-worthy meals worth a dedicated drive to the West Side.

You do get a good amount of food for what you're paying for, but personally, I'd rather go to All'Antico Vinaio in Venice and get a sandwich that costs a little bit more, but you get more food and a better seasoning. I'd go here again if I was in a pinch, but personally wouldn't try again.
