The 9 years in North Surrey and I just found this AMAZING little cafe! Was meeting a friend that…read moresaid pick a coffee shop on 152nd, google search came up with... Happy Jack's Cafe and 5 Star reviews!!! This place is a true hidden gem. I drive past is weekly. No clue it was there. I had already had my coffee but tried of all thing a Caramel Biscotti flavoured coffee, a little raw sugar and cream and I enjoyed it. I like strong black coffee so this was a big leap for me, LOL. Super friendly staff. But the food... OMG the food! We were going to order the Eggs Benny Sandwich but it's the ONLY menu item that is ONLY available on Thursdays, damn you hump day! It's because of the Hollandaise sauce. The super friendly chef (I'm going to assume is Jack and was the owner, awesome guy) chatted to us about it. I inquired about the sauce and he said it's like an Egg Mc Muffin style sandwich and then recommended the Huevo Ranchero sandwich, he had me at freshly made guacamole. Let me tell you I have eaten my weight in guac, not only do I make it at home but if I know they make a good guacamole I'm ordering. This stuff was legit! So fresh and so tasty. Sorry for the bite out of the sandwich, hee hee hee. I'm seriously thinking of going tomorrow and dragging hubby with me to try. The sandwiches in the case looked fantastic, especially the HOT Havarti Turkey, House Roasted Turkey on Cranberry Sourdough with Sweet Potatoe Puree and Sage Aioli. Just thinking about it I'm hungry! They also have soup but I failed to grab a picture of that. The salads in the case were massive and looks like made fresh daily. Saw two orders of two massive plate size Blueberry Pancakes get delivered to a table near by that looked delicious. Based on the bobbly heading of nods after their first bites I'm thinking these are a must try. Always looking for a Mom and Pop place and this place is a Pop's run for sure and I'll be back. -- at Happy Jack's Cafe LTD.

We ordered a Dirty Chai, the Cold Queen from their seasonal menu, and split a Vegetarian Sandwich plus an Espresso Banana Bread. For two people sharing food and grabbing drinks, coming in under $40 felt like a total win. I love that their sandwiches are made fresh and fully customizable--your choice of bread, toppings, sauce, the whole deal. But the Espresso Banana Bread? Listen. Moist, rich, espresso‑kissed goodness. We tried to share politely... but both of us were definitely eyeing that last bite. The drinks were equally impressive--the Dirty Chai was creamy, spicy, and had just enough espresso kick to wake up my soul. Now, the decor is an experience all its own. They really stick to their gothic brand identity--right down to the menu. Think haunted country manor meets cool indie cafe. Dark walls, dramatic pieces, and yes... upstairs there's an actual table made from a coffin. It's a whole vibe. That said, I'm not sure eating a sandwich under an animal skull is quite for me. But the food and drinks were stellar enough that I'd absolutely come back--maybe just grab my goodies to go next time. The staff were incredibly friendly, and although the space is small (warehouse‑style with a couple tables and some bar seating), it has charm. Final verdict: Delicious drinks, great prices, unforgettable decor--worth the visit, even if you're taking your snack back to the land of the living.

We're not even from here. Thought there'd be better customer care and hospitality if we've clearly got luggage with us. If you're flying through Abbotsford and are looking for a coffee shop, this ain't it.
