I got a manicure Friday evening at Fantasy Nails in Nanuet for a Saturday afternoon event. See the photo to see how bad my nails looked Saturday after a shower & before the party--chipped all over, cracked lines even on the nail bed. The only thing good about my visit was the lovely Maritza who did my nails beautifully with the poor quality nail polish. Following up with them afterwards was unsatisfactory. I'd like my money back, but that's not their policy. It's also not their policy to apologize for how crappy my nails looked at a special event after I paid them to make them look beautiful. The truth is that I wasn't treated respectfully at Fantasy Nails by Nicole, when I went there to have Pinky lashes applied. The lashes r very pricy and I was coming in every two weeks to get fill- ins. They never showed me a price list or options of various styles or lengths. She charges $150.00 to apply them then $50.00 to fill them in every two weeks. I was never really happy with her work and she did not really care just kept taking my money and doing what she wanted. As a relatively new customer I noticed that my appointment was changed several times without prior notice to accommodate Caucasian customers who Nicole preferred instead. When I question her about this she said they were her friends. They canceled my appointment without giving me prior notice to accommodate customers who she prefers. Then she got very cold and nasty after I questioned the unfair practices. When I asked for a more fuller set like 100 instead of 80 Next thing I know she had one of her workers call me and tell me lies that she was sick and not able to do my lashes. This is the day of the appointment not giving me time to go to anyone else . I will need a new set soon. They sent me negative text messages. I came by the store and she was sitting right in there . Ever since this salon went under new management, there have been at least 2 price increases. My friend from the City pays less for an organic manicure. New Fantasy Nails charges for using a credit/debit card. It's called a non-cash adjustment. My friend in the City gets 5% off for paying with cash. Up until recently, this nail salon would give you the sponge file and nail file at the end of your manicure. Now, they charge for this - even if you don't want it. It's a business expense but they now pass it on to the customer. Maybe in a few months, they will add an extra charge for the nail polish. read more

It uses no uv light and has no drying time and the results were phenomenal! I would highly recommend her salon- it's spotlessly clean, the staff are friendly and professional. I went today for the first time for a pedicure. I did not have an appointment so I waited about 20 minutes. Great experience, one of the best pedicures I have ever have. Although it was a busy Saturday afternoon, the nail technician took her time and did a fabulous job. Very clean and organized. The salon size is tight compared to other places in the area. Everyone there was extremely friendly. Their color selection is ok, but fairly disorganized. The woman next to me also had issues finding her color. They also push the organic powder manicure fairly hard. Upon getting my nails done, the filing was done ok, not the best. She did the color gel beautifully but when it came to the high shine top coat, half of my nails weren't fully covered the first pass, and after the second pass the edges are still not touched. Edit: 4 days later Ok. I take it back. Though the top coat is not perfect, this is one of the BEST gel polish manicures I have had as far as not chipping and longevity. I almost always have my polish peel by day 2 and at least some wear down on the tips[my nails are very flakey and I am also very hard on them] but this set looks the same as the day she did it. Today I had a 3 pm appointment got there before 3. And the ladies asked if I made a reservation. I tolled her yes with Gloria. Then I had to wait 5 minutes then I had my gel polish picked first I got my nails filed, Also I got my cuticles cut, then had liquid on my nails then put them under the lamp, it did not hurt a bit, then A base coat was on my nails then I put it I need the lamp and it burned Ouchi, and the other side too, then the color went on Gloria put two coats of the color on my right hand and I put it underneath the lamp burnt again ouch! Same thing for the other hand too, then she put acetone on my nails to remove any dirt and Wala I was finished and gave her a TIP.... Luckily it did not burn that much I'm brave according to getting gel on my nails sometimes I do that and it was so pretty when I went out I said goodbye and have a happy Easter. If I could give zero stars I would. I set my appointment weeks in advance and she was incredibly rude during the entire session. She was too busy taking phone calls during the entire time she was doing my nails. My nails were streaky and uneven. When I told her I didn't like how they came out, she told me that I didn't understand and that it was because of the type of nail polish. Gel manicures should never come streaky. Maybe if she focused on doing my nails instead of answering phone calls my nails would have not been ruined. I will never come back here again. read more

This is my go to nail salon! After moving to rockland county a little bit over a year ago, I couldn't find a good nail salon that actually knows how to do powder dip extension nails for months. I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails and I cannot stand a crappy job. Finally, I tried Fantasy Nails one day and they took me right away as a walk in. After my first visit, I've never turned back. My nails always look so beautiful and I get so many compliments on them (thank you Sia ) I have been going in every 2 weeks since. Their reception staff is unbelievable - they are so sweet and on top of everything. They call you the day prior to your appointment to confirm and they are extremely flexible in the event you're running late / have an emergency. All of the nail technicians are extremely experienced & talented and take their time with you. Sia is amazing - she's such a genuine person and truly knows all of her clients. I have been coming here for a few months now since I moved from Orange County. It is so hard to find a nail salon that you trust--which includes cleanliness, knowledge, friendly staff and fit. I have been doing organic powder over my natural nails and I am hooked. My nails and toes are perfect each time and I am a snob when it comes to my French manicure which I get most often especially to show off my engagement ring! Everyone is friendly and while each manicurist is great, Nicole is my favorite. Seya is so friendly and took the time to explain the process to me as I am a tad afraid of nail drills. I do no recommend this nail salon at all. I went in to get a Gel Manicure. 1) Color selection is disorganized and chaotic. The color selection was also sub par. 2) The gel manicure quality was absolutely horrible. I had to remind the nail specialist to buff my nails. She was filing my nails very oddly, and not listening to the shape I wanted. When I asked her to round the edges, she rolled her eyes. The painting of the nails was absolutely horrible. There was nail polish all over my skin; I was told this manicure looked like I did it myself - and I did not pay to have my nails done to have it look like I did it. You can see on my nails where the color has accumulated - It is not a smooth paint at all. 3) When drying the gel, the gel hardens etc etc. However because she filed the nails very oddly, the gel started drying on a semi-filed portion of my pinky nail that I kindly asked her to file off. There was pushback and rolling of the eyes, and when she finally did file it off, he started using the filer to file the surface of my nail. So, there were essentially scratches from the filing on my nail polish. 4) This was honestly the worst manicure I have ever gotten. There are many places that offer a $20 gel manicure. Regardless of the price, I do not feel this nail salon does not offer any sort of quality in their services. I do not think the technique of the nail specialists is up to par with their counterparts at all. I think there is much room for improvement and training. After I left this salon, I went across the street to another nail salon to immediately get a new gel manicure. read more

I have been getting pedicures of 20 years now and this was one of the worst pedicures I have gotten. The tech was a sweet young girl but she made many mistakes... she cut the sides of my nails so short and then was cutting and pulling my skin around it that it hurt. Seems like she was putting effort into detail and perfection but in the next few days I noticed that is was far from a perfect job. A few days later and I want to get a new pedicure . In addition she stopped in the middle of the pedicure to check the social media on her phone. Last but not as important, there was no relaxing massage. She had such long nails that she really couldn't do that anyway. Sorry to have to report this but i will not be going here again. I was going to this place few years. Through the years my appointments were cancelled or postponed numerous times. I was never taken at the scheduled time. Last time I made an appointment for specific time but I came few minutes earlier. I observed that they just took a person before me. I just walked-away. I can take my money somewhere else where people appreciate loyal customers with scheduled appointments over walk-ins. Love this place. Was in search of a new nail place closer to my new house and stubbled across this place. The girls are all very kind and talented. I go to Mery for my powder fill every three weeks. I also recently had lashes applied there (individual ones) by Jenny and boy was I surprised on how well they came out!! I went today for a fill on my lashes too. I'm addicted. Unfortunately the worst powder gel manicure I have ever gotten. Went for a pedicure and thought it was great so went back for powder mani. Asked multiple times not use machine bc it makes my nails thin but they continued to use. Also used UV lights which is why I get powdered to not have to use. No hand massage and my skin is covered in the color still. Lastly the actual manicure is just not good very thick and uneven. read more
