The salon is clean and has a nice overall atmosphere. It doesn't smell of chemicals as soon as you walk in and is well ventilated. I got a powder gel and Michael did it. He s very nice and takes pride in his work. I would go back. Prices are the standard with most nail salons in the area. I do t think it's over priced like some salons that don't do a great job and have rude people. Getting my nails done is a seldom treat for me and I don't mind paying more as long as the staff is friendly and know what they're doing. The clients were all regulars because she knew them all by name and asked questions about their family and they openly shared. It was a nice laid back environment. Mani and pedi special combo is 25 dollars. Gel nail manicure was 20 dollars. Just keep in mind that they charge an additional 5 dollars to remove shellac or gel nails. Every single time I go there, I get exactly what I want and with excellent quality. Once a month I endulge and get a pedicure. Their baths and chairs are well cleaned, and I don't have to worry about getting any kind of infection after being there. Their options are also pretty unique and put a nice touch on a pedicure experience. For the last five or six years, I have been specifically going to Nikki (the owner) for my nails. Every time I go to see her, I always get the same thing: a refill (on my real nails) and gel nail polish with a design. It doesn't matter how crazy of a design I show Nikki, or how impossible my request might be. Nikki delivers EVERY TIME. Her work is so impressive, that not a day goes by without someone commenting on my nails, or asks me where I get them done. Even my students comment on how cool they look each month! I've also visited other states and have gotten the same reaction. My answer is always the same- "Go see my girl Nikki at Wonder Nails!" Not only is her work outstanding, the entire store is a great atmosphere to be in. It's not overwhelming with different nail polish smells and it isn't a loud place to be in. Regardless of how long you're there for, you will truthfully be relaxed from start to finish. After I figure out how to include some work of Nikki's, I hope you can get a better understanding of how much her work is appreciated. There are so many nail salons that cut corners, rush, and don't leave their customers feeling happy. But every time I walk out of Wonder Nails, I walk out feeling like a million bucks. She is very nice & honestly she tried to fix her mistakes but she lacks the skills for proper application and needs more practice. Unfortunately, under the current ownership, the quality of customer service has declined sharply, and it no longer matches the beautiful renovation the salon underwent a few years ago. A nail salon should be an experience, and it once was here. That's no longer the case. On my last visit, I walked in for a pedicure. I've seen walk in's in for years no issues and it's welcomed, but the owner still asked if I had an appointment. A gentleman then walked me to a seat and placed a towel on the footrest but never started the service. He paced back and forth, went to the back, came out, then walked to the front of the salon all without saying a word to me. Meanwhile, another tech finished up with a different client and came over, but he then took the pedicure supplies meant for me and used them on someone else. It was obvious he simply didn't want to attend to me. After waiting and being ignored like that, I walked out! This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially for a customer who has stayed loyal through multiple ownership changes. I'll continue to recommend Lynn and Emma individually, but I won't be spending my money at this salon again.
