Nice people, Judy was very sweet .. but very rushed mani/pedi. Not enough coats on the polish. Rushed the shaping of nails on my hands. My toes were very rushed as well and didn't let them cure long enough. She cut my toe nails too Square and sharp so after two days the side of my nail was digging into my skin which was painful. I've moved from NYC to Rockland 3yrs ago and it's been hard finding a nail shop to my liking. Someone recommended me to this shop and Sara and I have been working together for a while now. Sara is GREAT. However, the older woman and the Tall man(owner I think) RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. I recommend SARA but not this establishment. Terrible place to have eyelash extensions done. Let me begin with the cleanness: The sheets and pillow case were so dirty, full of hair and paint. When I asked the girl- Maya to please change the sheets, she gave me such an attitude and put a small piece of paper towel on the pillow and with an angry tone, spoke out loud in Vietnamese with her other co-workers- I am sure it was about me because the other co-workers stuck their heads in looking at me! The worst eyelash extensions I have ever had! The fake eyelashes began hurting my eyelids within hours and some of them came off in a bunch the very next day. Maya put so much cheap glue and plastic eyelashes on the top of each other that I lost all of my own lashes along with the cheap, fake lashes. I tried this nail salon for the first time today. I don't believe I will be back again, the lady who did my pedicure and gel manicure was rushing everything and did not apply the color properly, she forgot to apply cream after pedicure and gel manicure and then she left me without finishing the last step of cleaning the gel manicure with alcohol. I'm still in the process to try to find a good nail salon but this is definitely not the one. read more

My coworker recommended this place because they had $20 gel manicures( now $23 due to a price increases). There are a lot of bad reviews on this site and I honestly believe the experience depends on your nail tech. Sara is my go to. She does amazing pedicures. My feet are sensitive, especially with cutting the nails and what not. Sara is gentle but still gets the job done. Her gel manicures also last. I can go back in 2 1/2 weeks to get it redone because she actually knows what she is doing. For anyone who wants to try wondernails, I recommend seeing Sara, cause she knows what's she's doing and does a great job. read more

I'm super torn about this place. On one hand, my gel mani with Elsa ("like Frozen," she told me) was awesome. She did a great job, was quick and efficient, and very friendly. $20 is a good price too. On the other hand, the salon itself is extremely dirty. The floor was actually coated in dust (from acrylics maybe?). Now that I think of it, everything seemed to be coated in dust. The garbage cans were overflowing, and the airbrush station in the back corner had paint splattered all over it and the wall behind it. I peeked into one of the waxing rooms and it looked as though the table was covered with sheets that hadn't been changed since the '70s. So I'm torn. I would definitely go see Elsa again for the great gel mani and the price, but hoping that Wonder Nails cleans up its act, literally! read more

My mom and I used to only come here for nails and they used to be great. This place really went downhill. On more than one occasion, the workers were so rushed to finish my nails that while filing I've actually been cut and started bleeding. They are not gentle at all here and do not take their time. They appear to be understaffed- nobody answers the phone when we call and when we walk in there is never anyone at the front desk. They seem irritated by people who come in with no appointment. A specific experience I had here today was when my mom and I walked in for me to get gels and my mom to get a pedicure. We had no appointment and they told us the wait would be "a few minutes". They started doing my mom's pedicure and told me to wait a little bit longer. After about 25 minutes, I walked out and decided to wait for my mom. Another 20 minutes after that, they asked my mom where I was and got mad when they found out I left. The whole experience wasted about an hour of our day. I do not recommend this place, try Victoria Nails & Spa in Nanuet. It is close by and is much better service read more

I recently went there for a pedicure and a full set with gel. It came to $65 ($20 for pedicure, 45 for full gel set). With that being said I made an appointment for 6:30 and it was clear that they had ignored it. I waited 20 minutes to do my pedicure and they were scrambling to find someone to do it. I waited an additional hour to start my nails and I was extremely frustrated. The reason they're getting 4 stars is because the quality of service. My pedicure was great and my manicure was even better. I got them done by Emily and needless to say, I've found a new favorite nail tech. I have UV gel and repeatedly see the same nail technician who knows my preferences, but she was unavailable. So, I booked an appointment at Wonder nails for the first time this afternoon and immediately had a bad feeling within the first few minutes. The reviews seemed really positive though so I figured I would try it anyway. I told them I had an appointment and the woman who greeted me spoke out to a man working there in another language to prompt him to give me a fill-in. He did not have a client, but simply shook his head, "No.". The fact that someone wasn't available or willing enough to do my nails when I had an appointment scheduled was off-putting, but that tidbit paled in comparison to the rest of my time there. The woman who greeted me ended up doing my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. It was a simple black nail with a glitter gradient. After picking the colors she would be using, we began. The entire time, she was stopping to answer the phone and book appointments. I understand these things need to be done, but it is very annoying as a client to have your session interrupted so often. Also, another technician took payment from a client and then proceeded to have a full whispered conversation (presumably about that client - I couldn't tell for certain since it was not in English) to the technician that was doing my nails. Extremely unprofessional. When it got time to design my nails, she began by putting the glitter color on my nail. I was thinking, "Okay, she must just be putting a couple of layers on to make everything really opaque before doing the black." Nope. She proceeded to cure two thin and extremely uneven layers of glitter gel, followed by the most sloppy french tip I have ever seen. This was totally incorrect because the picture I showed her clearly had the glitter layered on top of the black gel to create a gradient look. I ended up with patchy glittery nails and thick straight black french tips and color all over my cuticles. After my experience I googled the salon again and saw that Yelp! does not list the two negative reviews that this salon has on other review sites. I thought that was really shady and decided to share mine and see if it ends up disappearing as well. All in all, I only saw the work of one of the technicians there, which doesn't necessarily represent the entire staff. However, between the less-than-professional interaction of the staff coupled with the shoddy work and the inconsiderate and liberal use of a language that the clients do not understand (rude), I will not be returning to this salon. The prices are on par with the salon I went to in Mount Kisco to get them fixed 3 hours later. My nail technician that works out of her house does an outstanding job at 1/3 of the price. read more

If this place hadn't been recommended by a friend whose nails look nice I would have walked out immediately. I asked for the same person she goes to but she wasn't available. My first ever set of acrylics are completely malformed. My daughter got hers done last week elsewhere. When we compared our nails we both cringed. Photos of this absolute disaster were taken the moment I returned home. This salon needs to learn the proper procedure to remove gel polish on toes!!!! The woman put alcohol on my toes and placed cotton balls over it and could not figure out why the gel polish was not being removed - I advised her to wrap foil over my toes after soaking in alcohol and instead she grabbed her drill and individually drilled off the polish on my toes and proceeded to talk in her language to the woman next to her and did not take my advise! I have been going to Wonder Nails since I was about 15 years old (I'm 31 now.) I started out with simple manicure/pedicure, eyebrow/lip waxing with the amazing Elsa (rest in peace) for many years. Every single time I go there, I get exactly what I want and with excellent quality. Once a month I endulge and get a pedicure. Their baths and chairs are well cleaned, and I don't have to worry about getting any kind of infection after being there. Their options are also pretty unique and put a nice touch on a pedicure experience. For the last five or six years, I have been specifically going to Nikki (the owner) for my nails. Every time I go to see her, I always get the same thing: a refill (on my real nails) and gel nail polish with a design. It doesn't matter how crazy of a design I show Nikki, or how impossible my request might be. Nikki delivers EVERY TIME. Her work is so impressive, that not a day goes by without someone commenting on my nails, or asks me where I get them done. Even my students comment on how cool they look each month! I've also visited other states and have gotten the same reaction. My answer is always the same- "Go see my girl Nikki at Wonder Nails!" Not only is her work outstanding, the entire store is a great atmosphere to be in. It's not overwhelming with different nail polish smells and it isn't a loud place to be in. Regardless of how long you're there for, you will truthfully be relaxed from start to finish. After I figure out how to include some work of Nikki's, I hope you can get a better understanding of how much her work is appreciated. There are so many nail salons that cut corners, rush, and don't leave their customers feeling happy. But every time I walk out of Wonder Nails, I walk out feeling like a million bucks. Next month, I'll be moving to Delaware for a teaching job. I will STILL have Nikki do my nails because she is worth the trip! Thank you for always going above and beyond, Nikki! read more
