My usual nail tech wasn't in on Saturday. I should have waited for her but I decided to go ahead as I was already there The owner started my manicure but kept getting up. She was distracted and rude. Love this nail salon, perfect spot in the heart of Nyack. Everyone here is friendly and they do a great job. The owner Alice is so sweet I love her! One time I said I was hungry and she legit stopped doing my nails to get me a snack and water (she's amazing and goes above and beyond). I wanted to treat myself to something nice after having a very productive week. I decided to search for a nice nail salon to get my nails done. I saw the reviews and gave this place a try. From the beginning, I felt uneasy. My pedicure was rushed. My nails were rushed as well. My nails were filed unevenly. I requested to change the color and I was met with attitude. They gel is layered so heavily it looks like I have acrylics. There was nail polish on my hands afters. Never going here again!! I can only assume the people who gave this place less than 5 stars either came in on a bad day or were expecting too much. This is a lovely nail place in a strip mall - I say that not to be negative, but it's not and doesn't pretend to be a luxury nail salon. Have been twice in 3 months, once by appointment, once as a walk-in. Both times I have received incredible quality services at such reasonable prices. Everyone is so kind and professional. Both times I have seen the owners greet people who are clearly regulars with personal inquiries about their lives and family, so they clearly appreciate their repeat customers. The men that do your nails are just as good( if not better ) than the women(I'm talking about, you Jay!)! The massages are excellent and my nails always come out completely gorgeous. I went here for my first professional pedicure and the people were lovely. My polish stayed on forever, seemed like a great community of customers, it's close to home and not too spendy. But then, when I went into another salon in Nanuet, I noticed that my feet were massaged a little longer, there was more polish selection and more importantly, they don't dump your nail clippings and foot shavings into the water. I thought that was gross and it is clearly not the norm. I won't be back even though I have one punch left on my card till I get a free pedicure. read more

I went for a gel manicure because my usual place was no longer doing a good job. First red flag was that they don't carry any OPI gel colors. I asked about that and they said that it's because OPI is hard to take off.....ummmm...yeah but their colors also last a really long time. Anyway, I chose a color from a company I had never heard of and he assured me it would be fine. The manicure looked really good and I was happy. It lasted under two weeks so I am not happy about that. I have had other manicures last me three weeks without any major chipping, just slight wear. I would go back in an emergency but the lack of OPI makes me think twice. read more

They go by several names...Grace Nails, Hot City Nails, Grace Hot City Nails, Hot Grace City Nails...But whatever they call themselves, they're a pretty good spot. Pluses? Inexpensive. $20 for a manicure/pedicure on Mondays and Tuesdays. Open on Sunday. Apparently no one else is, that I can locate at least. Clean enough. Cheap massages ($5 to add 10 minute massage to your pedicure, $10 for a 15 minute chair massage.) Manicures last a good week. Minuses? Always busy. Always. I've been turned away from here on multiple occasions. Make an appointment. Not as clean as I'd like...Wiping down the massage chair headrests every once in a while would help. Not the best selection of colors. All in all, probably the best option in town to get your nails done. AND it won't break the bank...Score. read more

Came here after work one day for a pedi and I have to say their foot massages/reflexology are awesome!!! I'll be back just for that. The downsides - it seemed as though the girl could not decide whether to go with a square shape or a round shape on my toe nails and went for an odd combination of both...and they do not have those rubber or plastic disposable flip flops...only paper ones, so I had to put my shoes back on and messed up my polish. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. HORRIBLE is an understatement! Came in @ 3 to make 3 manicure apts. we walk in and wait (which is fine). The guy (I'm assuming the owner) starts my nails @ 5:10 and I'm done @ 5:16. Really, doesn't move me to a chair leaves and goes to do my daughter's nails. There was no hand message and I asked him to file my bails not cut it and he argues with me. I don't get them polished because the tops are rough. He didn't cut my cuticles instead cut and made me bleed and didn't even put anything on the cut. Horrible! I wasted $30 and I never don't tip (I usually tip 100%. Worst nail salon ever!!!! The staff cannot follow directions and called me difficult and said I liked to be difficult because I wanted them to change my nails to how I wanted them originally. They also called my friends nails ugly because they were short. When I asked for my nails to be longer they said it would be more money and I said I am okay with that but they refused to make them longer and how I liked because they didn't want to. And the last time I went I asked for marble nails but she made my nails polka dotted and said it was better than what I asked for and she also didn't do the shape I asked for because she thought the shape she wanted was nicer so when I asked her to change the shape and fix the polka dotted nail she said I was being difficult and that I love changing my mind after they finish even though they just didn't follow the directions from the beginning. Also the customer service is awful and it's not a one time bad experience I've been there multiple times and the experiences get worse and worse. read more
