Very nice owners who allowed me in early on a Sunday. All I wanted was a quick cut, no wash. I left, tipping Sally 25%. Got home and noticed my haircut was really uneven with a hole down to the scalp in the back. Sorry, But I will never return again. read more

Always open when you need them; Sally and her girls always do great work on me, and no paying extra for the shampoo! Ive been coming here for a long time, and would even come in even though I moved away but was in town visiting. That's how good they are! read more

Always ask if something is an extra charge. I actually really like this place but after my cut she charged me extra for a blow dry, which she took it upon herself to do and didn't let me know it would be an extra charge. It's 28 for a wash and cut and I skipped the wash so she barely blow dried my hair and charged me 40 bucks. I'm just disappointed that she snuck that in. I should have said something to her but I didn't want to cause a scene and now I'm kicking myself for not speaking up. I still tipped and left. ALWAYS ASK IF SOMETHINGS AN EXTRA CHARGE BECAUSE THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE. read more

I saw Jenny and she cuts well, I would definitely go back to see her. As far as the price, I paid $35 for a cut and blow dry w/ flat iron. I felt like it was too much, escially since I had a $14 haircut coupon and I guess I could have done without the blow dry and flat iron but I wasn't given the option. In the end, cut was good, price was so-so in my only opinion. read more

My first time coming to this location and the girl who cut my hair cut layers without asking me first. All I wanted was a trim... very disappointed. And on top of that she used shampoo for men on my hair! read more

Sally cut me and my daughters hair we absolutely loved it. We definitely will be returning.

I'll come back to this place. Sally is wonderful. Came with my hair looking like the hair of a trashed doll and came out looking gorgeous. Thanks Sally read more

This is my favorite Fantastic Sams! Sally listens to what you want and will do what it takes to give you the style, cut, and color that you want. She is fair and honest with her advice. She helped me take an incredible leap in changing my hair color! I LOVE IT! I have tried many other places and been disappointed. Not here, I have been going for about a year and feel confident that I will always feel wonderful and confident about my look when I leave! All her girls are good! read more

This is the best Fantastic Sams and I have been to quite a few. Sally is an artist. She cuts it the way I ask with a flair and it looks even better every time. Sally cut and color my hair. My hair color fried and wrong and i get charged for style when no style. Sally nice. My hair not nice. read more

Came in today no appointment for my two sons 2.5 and 5 years old. They both were in dire need of a trim. Went to cool cuts and didn't want to wait. Glad my impatience won. Great hair cut for both. The ladies were amazing and patient with them. The boys would move and each stylist still did great! Thank you for the service. read more

Everything comes down the the final moment....payment....2 daughters and my grandson, you would think simple?? Sign at register says check in at yelp and save $3. When she explains that bill is $48.....she says she discounted my 3 year old grandson $2...????????? then charged $3 for extra length on my oldest daughter... (middle of her back) ..so....$ 15 dollars each...and $3 for extra length.....rip off......not even following their own cost chart.....avoid! Not worth the aggrivation read more

While I'm grateful for my haircut, I am disappointed by the lack of upfront pricing. My hair was and is just below my shoulders, and I was charged $3 more for "extra length." I asked as soon as I went in about the length, and I saw on the screen the regular haircut price ($18). After the cut, she gave me my total: $21. After checking in on Yelp (promotion for $2 off), she said it'd be brought down to $19... Two other store employees came by to tell me that it was $19... I ended up paying, tipping, and leaving, but felt uncomfortable with what I was paying. I'm aware that in the grand scheme of life, these $3 will not impact me greatly. I just think that as soon as an employee notices/decides that a haircut will cost more, the client should be advised. read more

I got my hair done by Sally! My hair is naturally dark brown/black. I have never had my hair bleached or anything so I was nervous. I got a balayage and it turned out great! I am so happy with results and I am getting so many compliments! Very great service and I highly recommend :) read more

I don't care what people say about hair cutting and the "you get what you pay for" attitude. It's HAIR. And unless you have some very "specialty" type cute or style that is beyond the scope of Sam's than I suppose it matters that you go to a salon and spend triple what I spend here at Sam's. But then again....I'm a man. And I'm about as basic as you can get with my hair. THAT being said.... Always a solid job by the very friendly staff. I have been coming to THIS SAM'S since 1991 and I sometimes go to the one near my work in the east side of Orange. I get what I want. And it's pretty good. You get what you pay for. Sure. Because it's HAIR. And they do it right here. read more

Okay, it's a Fantastic Sam's so I can't really compare it to my normal salon, but this visit was for my son. Right away, Nancy saw the problem. My son has a LOT of hair. And it's thick and very wavy. And at 9, he wants to style it a little more. What? Mom's basketball cut not good enough? Apparently not! I told her to take in the sides. She also added, you should texturize the top to this it a bit to allow him the abilit to style it. She did it quick and efficient. No chatter...which my very squirmy and impatient son greatly appreciated. When it came to styling it, she showed the both of us different ways to do so. My son was greatly please by all the new options he has now. And Nancy was perfect for out needs. read more

Written on behalf of a guy friend who wants to remain anonymous.... I went in for a basic haircut - shorter on top and faded on the sides but was disappointed when the lady that cut my hair (Nancy) did not cut my hair correctly. Instead of using the razor, she used shears so I asked to have someone else finish the haircut but was still disappointed when they also did not do a good job (e.g. thinning out the hair). No bueno. read more

Probably one of the worst haircuts I 've ever had. It was my mistake to think Fantastic Sams can do a simple trim. The hair dresser lady with glasses, who appeared very unsure about her skill, did a "trim", just in the front but did not even out in the back. The only thing she actually did well was the bangs because she asked me every step of the way if she was doing okay. I've never met such an unskilled hair dresser and wondered if she even had a license. She was nice but I would not trust her with my hair again. I went back to my car and looked at the mirror and was shocked how ugly and choppy my hair was! I immediately went to The Grand Salon down the street and had them fix my horrible haircut from Fantastic Sams. I think places like this is better for kids haircut or mens, but not for women's haircut. I am not even considered "high maintenance" so this place was just absolutely sub par. I think maybe the asian ladies hairstylists probably does a better job but unfortunately they stuck me with the worst hairdresser. Would not recommend. I will spent the extra $20 and get a good haircut elsewhere. read more

Who would pay $30 for a haircut at Fantastic Sams? Be careful when you go here.....ask ahead of time what they are going to charge! I wish I had! My hair doesn't even touch my shoulders, it is that short...I went in to just get the back of my hair cut, as I am growing out the sides and front. She didn't even need to wash it, but she said "too much hair spray". As we were walking back to stylists station I heard another client say I don't want my hair styled, don't want to pay extra. The stylist said hair dry is included with cut. That clients hair was longer than mine. So I let my stylist blow dry my hair and then she charges me $30 for cut and style! I won't be going here again. read more

Went to get a haircut here when the wait was too long at my normal spot. They took me right away. A few minutes into cut I saw she was using a used comb. I asked if it was clean and she laughingly yes, they clean them everyday. Everyday?! How about after every customer!! I expressed my discomfort saying it should be cleaned after each haircut and all she said "how long on top?" Needless to say I won't be back. Even if the haircut is the best (it's not) it was a used comb! Gross... read more

I haven't got a haircut for a very long time since the last time I got one the hairdresser ruined my haircut. Since then I've never trusted hair salons. She was very accommodating as well(: I loved how my hair came out after watching all the hard work she has put into it. Thank You Sally!(: read more

Sally called me and apologized for my latest botched haircut and offered to fix it, for free. I may return to her shop, but will only see her, no one else that works there. I appreciate her effort to make things right. I returned to see Sally with my sons and my father this past weekend. I immediately felt disrespected by Sally and her workers so we left. Sally actually followed me out to my car, begging me to stay. I had to threaten to call 911 before she would leave me alone so I could close my door and drive off. This place is horrible, with horrible people. All rude, disrespectful, and ungrateful. I will never return and will persuade everyone I know to stay far away from this place. read more

The ladies that work here are very nice and friendly through your experience. If I had more time, I would have gotten my hair dyed here too. I got a decent, basic A-line bob cut for $25 because I saw a check-in offer here. HOW AWESOME IS THAT considering most salons have ladies walking out paying $75+? If you don't want anything super fancy and you just need a quick trim this is a great, inexpensive place. Especially if you're like me and you *actually* don't KNOW anyone/are related to anyone that cuts hair :P read more

Thank you Sally for the fantastic highlights you did on my hair. I will never go anywhere else again - you have a client for life!!!

I'm giving two star for the stylist's friendliness and two stars for Manager's attention to my circumstance. As for the cut, it was heartbreaking. I specifically told the stylist to leave the length of my hair and to give me short layers (my preferred hairstyle for years). During the process, the stylist kept assuring me that my hair was still long in the back and that she was not cutting the length. When she finished, my hair was significantly shorter. She cut off at least 5 inches of my hair. I maintained having long hair for years because I prefer it that way. Having 5 inches of my hair cut off without my consent was so offensive. It truly is a nightmare of mine come true. Yes, hair grows back. Nevertheless, I did not want 5 inches of my hair cut off. read more
