Sally is amazing! 2 weeks ago, I went to the closest salon to my house and the stylist ruined my hair. I wanted to keep my blonde balayage, add a little more, and dye my base a darker color (as that was turning brassy too). I left in tears. My blonde was all orange and base color was a brassy brown. I HATE BRASSY HAIR ON ME! I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and couldn't stand looking in the mirror. I came back to Sally (I should have never gone elsewhere). And, she fixed it! I only have gone there once, but I was extremely satisfied with my stylist, Gina, she fixed my hair so well (after I had almost ruined it trying to do it myself) that I can't think of ever going anywhere else. I called there just today (10/03/18) to set up a cut & color for when Gina is on duty, but, (the # (714) 671 ~ 9360 you have called has been changed and the new # is unknown) is what the recorded voice says. Quite a hoot. Has that particular shop closed down? I'd really like to know, because it worries me quite a bit. I'm a little bit scared of what the answer will be. AMAZING! Asked for a simple trim and got exactly what i asked for. Lady was very nice, happy, and liked to make nice conversation! She also took her time and was very consentrated on every piece of hair. Price was $22 for a cut straight across along with their wash and dry. Was very annoyed today. First and last visit. I walked in at 9:23 and was told five minutes. By 10:08 I left. I understand that time is figurative but my issue is not necessarily the time... it's the communication about the time. After waiting for over forty min I decided to leave. As I walked out the door one of the salon ladies said "someone's on her way" ...... ummmm I was pissed when I heard that. I walked out anyway. My question is, if you thought this person was coming in five minutes wouldn't you communicate this to me within say 10, 20 minutes into waiting? Like maybe this person is running late? In fact I didn't even know anyone was coming at all, I thought one of the two salon people there would be helping me. Again - zero communication. Very unhappy with this establishment. We've been coming to Sally ever since she opened this salon; I think about 10 years ago. The store is clean, and in a convenient, central location in Brea's Imperial East Shopping Center. The clientele is both male and female, from adorable toddlers to seniors. Sally is passionate about her craft, and extremely hard-working. On my most recent visit, I watched as Sally swiveled her client's chair to face the mirror, then saw a beautiful, wide grin take over her client's face upon seeing her new hairdo. I've come to this location twice, and have been pleased with the salon service provided by Betty and Sally. They listen to my wants/needs, and I've been quite happy with the results. The ambiance of the place: nice, neat, clean, and relaxing. Even though, this place is quite a distance from home, fortunately, it's half way to home from work, and it's close to the 57-freeway. She fixed my bangs as well as gave me a complimentary haircut because I was treated poorly by the manager at the other branch on Imp Hwy. Well, I agree with the previous post of cuts that are not up to par. However, this place is run my asian people. I, myself being asian know that if you dont demand what you want and force them to follow through, you will get a half ass attempt from these ladies. Dont worry people. Its not being mean. Asian people expect you to be this way....its how we learn to respect you and do what YOU want. If not, we will step alllll over you. So, for my cut I wanted an all scissor cut about finger length. The Asian lady wouldn't do it. Says that my hair is too short and insisted on using a Number 8 razor. I said, and kept saying to her that if she touched my hair with a razor i aint payin for the cut. Finally, after much force she agreed to give me a scissor cut. I believe she was just being lazy and didnt want the hassle. But, Asian hair cannot be cut with razors or it will frizz and be uneven. So take it from me. Believe in yourself and if they don't give you what you ask then you make a big fuss and watch the respect come rolling in. read more

She has always been fantastic, listens carefully to what you want, funny, and makes sure you are comfortable. Now that she runs the Brea shop I drive here to get my haircut every time. I went to Fantastic Sams with my son he has really bad kalexs in his hair and it's very difficult to find a hairstyle that works for him and as easily maintained.Sally cut his hair just right it is super easy to style and she even added a touch of blue. my son is so happy and I'm very very pleased with the hair style she provided I will no longer go anywhere else this is the best place ever 10 stars . Horrible! Brought my 2 year old here bc it had great reviews. Checked in, no wait and a woman came and got us right away. She seemed very hesitant though. We walked over to sit down and I told her I would have him sit on my lap because he is still pretty little and gets scared. She asked if he had ever had a haircut before and I told her yes he had had three and he'd be fine but fussy. She wouldn't approach him and keep saying "I don't know, I don't know." I stared at her and said he'll be fine and she said "Maybe you go somewhere else." I get that not everyone can cut kids hair but they offer the service and she took us back and sat us down. She didn't even offer to have someone else try. Horrible customer service. There were other staff working too and no one said anything. read more

I'm moved here to Placentia about a month ago and I tried this location to see if they were any good with haircuts. That was my mistake. Nobody can speak proper English except the manager, they had me done in less than 5 minutes, and pay no attention to the men, but women instead when it comes to waiting. This is the last time I go here a $18 haircut that included a shampoo wash which I didn't even get because they told me it was extra. Been biting my tongue on this last haircut. The back of my head is completely trashed. The 1.5 on the sides and back isn't done at at the top where my hairlines part leaving just bulky hair at the top. The back of my head has hair tht wasn't supposed to even be left. On top of tht whatever you did to my hair on top you literally cut a uneven bowl cut. She told me I'd be able to part my hair on both sides even though I only part it one direction. Well I got my haircut by Jenny, I was on atone crunch and she did ok. Took a little more than I wanted. It was my first time here so I presented the $15 off coupon. Already done and ready to pay. Thinking, I'll get $15 off. Nope I was told it only applies to a "trim" not a "real haircut" is what the girl at the front desk told me. So confused but in a rush, she only gave me $2 off. This is my 3rd visit to this salon and frankly I was a little disappointed this time with my haircut I got. I told the stylist exactly how I wanted my hair to be cut and instead the stylist kept suggesting how they thought my hair should look and be styled. Last time I checked customer service was suppose to provide a service to your liking and feel. That's what I get for not having the same person cut my hair the first time. Worst service ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I brought my son for a kids hair cut after I tried to cut a little and didn't like it much. The sylist ridiculed me that I made him look like that... so I thought she was so much better than me. She took about 5 min to cut and said she is done. There were some hairs sticking out and complained that she needs to cut a little more. She said it is supposed to be like that and would not do it. For the whole time, she was yelling at me, to a customer!!! $13 Kids hair is nice but I would pay a little extra to avoid that ghetto service. read more

Sally has been my hair stylist for over 4 years. I have my hair colored and cut. Sally is very professional and friendly and she is also very competent matching my hair color. The service and products are comparable to a high end salon, but being more affordable allows me to have touch ups more often. I recommend Sally as a hair stylist to anyone. read more

Brought in reference photos of how I wanted my hair and completely ignored them and didn't even look at them when I said "no I want it like this" and just did whatever she wanted. Slapped in the the face multiple times with my own hair without apologizing and refused to give me the $15 promo they have in here because my hair is longer than average (just a bit past my shoulder blades. My father and I have been going here for years, Jessica was our hairdresser and she was great! Never going to see that other lady though. I was just in today and she was working the chair closest to the register. Gave me so much attitude when I asked if Jessica still worked there. All her replies were "No, I dont know." After she finished I noticed there was more I wanted done to which she replied, "Well that's what you wanted." I said forget it it's okay and she just stood there.
