My husband and I recently had remodel work done to the first floor of our home. In my search for new carpet for our recroom (bonus room). Spent a number of hours one Saturday afternoon looking at various carpeting stores in and near Bellevue. The experience was not one I enjoyed. All three shops we looked in did not have prices on the carpeting, so one is required to ask an associate. Which wouldn't have been a deal breaker, had they truly been helpful (either couldn't truly confirm the actual prices (we had our own installer, or seemed un educated about carpeting in general. I then spent additional time looking online and happened to come across Fantastic Floors. I called the Kirkland store and was told they do by appointment. They kindly set me up for a time that same day. We met with Sandra. Sandra was so helpful. She knows carpeting well and helped us pick out the perfect carpet based on our needs and likes. Sandra had kindly made time for us inbetween two appointments she already had on her calendar. Therefore we didn't have time to fully complete the order (was written up, but not paid for). The next day I called to make payment. I had a little trouble reaching Sandra, but finally made contact the following day. Our contractor picked up the carpeting and padding as per scheduled and he said everything was ready when he got there. Overall I give Fantastic Floors in Kirkland Washington a big thumbs up. The only thing I think they could do to be even better is hire another person or a service to handle the phones and billing. Overall, great experience. These guys are wonderful when it comes to customer service. My consultant, Sandra, was down to earth, honest, friendly, and gave real prices upfront the first time rather than pull a "call the boss to see if it's ok to get it down to whatever your budget max is" routine ahem like empire. Plus, during consulting and choosing a carpet, she actually talked about the pros and cons for my particular space rather than describe the warrantees in depth.. I mean is that really the first thing I want to learn about as a first time carpet shopper? (Again, empire). As for the installing of the carpet- it was quick, and they were able to do it the next weekend- fast service! I will mention, the space in my living room is more of an odd trapezoid shape so I did have an initial issue with some seams, but it was fixed as soon as I told Sandra I wasn't 100% satisfied. We shopped around quite a bit for decent priced and good quality carpet--which after a while seemed like an oxy-moron, because even hard scratchy thin carpet was considered "mid priced"! With Fantastic Floors we found thick, soft, comfy nylon for a great price! Even better than home depot and lowes options and prices! We ended up with a higher quality carpet at a lower price. Sandra was awesome with us, helping us choose the best fit for us, and at a good price. We also had a tight window frame of when we wanted the install to happen (one week!) And Sandra worked with us on that too! The installers came on time and installed efficiently. There were some minor issues we asked to be resolved after the install, which were attended to. I really like how we weren't argued with regarding the issues (which we get with many contractors: a lot of excuses!). We were selling our condo and needed to update the flooring/carpeting. Sandra actually came out to look at the condo to make suggestions! She even suggested paint colors to compliment the flooring. We worked with Jade at Fantastic floors to choose our hardwood flooring and carpet. She was friendly, took more than a hour to walk us through all the hardwood flooring options and educate us. We were looking for a cost efficient nylon carpet option and she got us a cool deal on an in-stock carpet as only a last few rolls were left over. Throughout the selection process she was prompt with her responses and willing to go an extra mile to satisfy the customers. Due to some unforeseen reasons, we couldn't continue the project and she was very understanding. I did not give them 5 stars because I don't have first hand experience with their installation crew - this review is more on the front end sales service. read more

Horrible service, don't waste your time. It's been almost 2 months (not kidding) since I contacted them about replacing my carpet for 3 rooms + a hallway, and gave them my budget ( a reasonable 5k). Someone said they would call to schedule a visit, they never did. Because of the good reviews, I insisted and called back to schedule the visit. Sandra spent 2 minutes at my house, did some measurements and left - I was obviously hoping for some material advice and samples, but no. I gave her my personal email and my work email and waited for an estimate, that never arrived. I called again, she said it should have been sent. Days later it arrives, I called back to discuss materials, no one was available to help. I scheduled a visit to the showroom, was left by myself to dig into the pile of samples. Chose the flooring and asked for estimate to be redone, never heard of them again. I believe they don't need my business. I am eager to replace my floor and have cash to do it, but I'm being treated as if they are doing me a big favor. I was hoping to have it done during summer, now I'll have to start my search all . If you are looking for flooring, look somewhere else. read more

I found Fantastic Floors on yelp and read really good reviews so I decided to contact them and worked with Sandra from the beginning to the end. She came over to meaure our condo for new carpet and brought over a sample of carpet the next day that she thought would be a great fit. We scheduled our install and they did a great job. The install took a bit longer than quoted but we weren't under any time constraints and I'd rather they did a great job instead of a rushed one. The next week we decided with the new paint and carpeting, that we should replace our trim so I contacted Sandra and got a quote and had her install them at the end of the week. Now our condo is ready to list and sell and it looks amazing. Sandra was very communicative the entire process and flexible with install and meeting times. I will be definitely using Fantastic Floors in the future and recommending them to my friends. read more

We found Fantastic Floors after driving by their Kirkland warehouse. After checking Yelp reviews we decided to call and make an appointment to look at samples with Sandra. She was incredibly accommodating and was able to meet us fairly late in the evening after my husband got off of work. She was a joy to work with. Friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, honest. With her help we saved thousands of dollars by picking the flooring choices that most fit our lifestyle instead of what was the nicest. After we made our choices Joe was able to come measure our new house on a day that fit with our real estate agent's schedule. Work began a few days after we closed and was finished right on schedule. The hard floor guys were friendly and personable and did an amazing job. We weren't quite as impressed with he carpet guy's work but overall we're incredibly happy with our new floors. The few problems we had (a bathroom door that was slightly damaged during the work) were quickly addressed and Sandra was very responsive on both phone and email. Joe & his crew are FANTASTIC! They are professional, honest, super knowledgeable, always on time and easy to work with. During our recent kitchen remodel, we decided to add new hardwoods to the dining room. This job required to put hardwoods on the slab and match existing hardwood floors. Some companies we talked to wouldn't even come to give us a quote as this was definitely not an easy job. I was hoping I could just replace the carpet in my master bedroom and that it would match up with the rest of the upper level carpets. Joe assured me that it wasn't possible even if the exact same carpet was available but told me he could stretch the carpet and make it look good as new. He did, it looked fabulous and saved me several thousand $$$. When I moved into a smaller house, he showed me several types of high quality carpet he had purchased in bulk, and I chose a dense, plush gray that's beautiful, feels great, is easy to clean and the price was Fantastic! I called Sandra on Sunday, and she got my husband an appointment on short notice an hour or so later. She was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. She made suggestions and clearly wasn't trying to upsell us on a more expensive product. She sent us home with many samples. We picked one by Monday, and on Tuesday I picked up our flooring. I'm writing this review with mixed feelings as my experience with Joe was fantastic. After looking at numerous flooring options, I landed on a style by Cronin that matched the wood grain that I was looking for. When the shipment arrived, the quality of the finishing felt poor. It was not what the sample had presented. I tried doing research online and couldn't find anything about Cronin's quality. Feeling uncomfortable, I decided to return it and Joe was very understanding of my concerns. When it was time to pick out an alternative, I was presented with a maple wood which I'd been trying to stay away from. Having raised concerns of needing a good finishing that will last two kids, Sandra assured that the 8 coats of Cronin's maple hardwood will withstand. She had clients using the wood and it came out beautifully, so I went with the suggestion. Couple weeks after the installation, we started catching nail holes and 10 months in, I have to constantly worry about kids dropping things on the floor. We already have several dents and chips from toys and keys falling on the floor and the cracks between the panels seem to be widening overtime. I'd still recommend Joe for his service and flexibility but would suggest being careful about the wood selection and quality. For one, stay away from Cronin at all cost, the slight saving is not worth the quality you're compromising. It was a very expensive mistake and I wish I had trusted my gut feeling about changing the brand. read more

The folks at Fantastic Floors live up to their name. I recently put my house on the market; wanting to upgrade the carpets and counter tops prior to putting it on the market. I contacted the folks at Fantastic Floors who set me up with a very nice quality carpet and pad and an very, very competitive price. When I mentioned that I had to do counters to granite as well, the salesperson stepped up. I had a great selection of quality stuff at really good prices. The topper? Installation was a breeze: the folks at the shop coordinated schedules with me and had the new carpets and granite countertops done in less that two weeks. They even arranged for a plumber to re-do sinks and faucets. Their install folks are quick, clean and very friendly. Fantastic Floors is my 'go-to' for flooring, counters, etc. It seems all I have to do is tell them what I'm trying to do and they make it all happen. read more
