You know, I've been coming here for years and it's always been decent and sometimes pretty darn good. I'm very displeased today. Waited in line for 25 minutes behind only 3 cars. By the time I finally got to the window, they had rushed my order and put things on my burger that I had specifically said not to put on about 3 times while ordering. Made it pretty clear and they had it ready to go when I got there. They should make customers, whose order is going to take more than 5-6 minutes, pull over to the parking spaces. My food was cold and I live in the neighborhood close by. The burger had a bunch of things on it when I asked for it to only have ketchup. I asked for my fries well done, which were not. I'm never one to leave a bad review but it's insulting to have been coming here almost all the time and they rushed MY meal and messed it up but let others sit there for sometimes 10 minutes to make theirs perfect. The convenience of this place is awesome - a drive thru cafe with a wide variety of menu items! They've got breakfast plates, burritos, tacos, soups, salads, burgers, hotdogs, sandwiches, chicken tenders, steaks, and even shrimp! My husband and I love their tuna sandwich! We've had it several times, and it never disappoints! If this rating was based on just that, I'd give them 5 stars! The 4, unfortunately, is for their patty melt & breakfast burrito. When I eat a patty melt, I expect to bite into deliciously buttered sourdough, or at the very least, white bread. Instead, theirs is served on rye. Don't get me wrong, I like rye, but this combo just didn't go well together. Sure, I can request for different bread next time, but the bread wasn't the only problem. The cheese they used was way too rich for my liking, and this is coming from a total cheese lover too! I was only able to eat half before I felt clogged in the arteries. On two other occasions, I tried their breakfast burrito. It was ok, nothing special, a little heavy on the hash browns. But again, the cheese was too rich. It was far from bad though; I've just had better. I've also had their chicken tenders. They're pretty good, and you can't really go wrong with chicken tenders. So today was my 3rd time trying them since they are very close to work (and home). Got there at 12 noon and nobody was in the drive through line! Once again it was $10 for a burger and sweet potato fries... No drink! They do now have combos! But only if yo want a burger and regular fries... Very expensive compared with the local comp and now several weeks after they have opened, there is NO line at the driver through at noon! Please wake up and smell the customers leaving... Talk about bang for your buck! The breakfast special has got to be the best deal around. Everything else i have tried there has been amazing too. From the burritos to the pastrami burgers (my favorite) the meals are always excellent. The only negative feedback I have is that the straws aren't near the soda fountain. Place opened and while ago. Finally figured I would I've it a shot. Took the family threw the drive threw Sunday at noon. Ordered four cheese burger combos. How hard is that right? Wrong. I had to repeat my order five times. Also the drink order twice. I tried to repeat the whole order once more and the girl had the nerve to tell me "yeah I got it" like I was wasting her time. Fantastic disappointment Wow I'd love to have their photographer do my wedding if I ever get married again..great pictures of food they don't sell I ordered the mushroom burger made it a double.I just assumed it would come with cheese at those prices but no just two flat prior frozen (from Walmart I assume) they look nothing like the picture...covered with some onions and some dots that I think were grinded up canned mushrooms so few tell for sure. Looks nice! For all they spent to make this place look nice and clean, I wish they would've done something different with their menu. Something new and hip (this part of Wesminster really needs that). Instead, it's typical diner grub. An update to my review, the tuna sandwich sucks! Waste of 6.99, I won't ever order it again, have no idea what kind of tuna that is but when I make tuna I use mayo, pickles, green onions, gross! The chicken tenders and fries aren't that good either. The Greek salad, carne asda tacos, Fantastic Burger, and Gyro are other favorites of mine. Ordered the fish and chips thru the drive-thru ....... I was told on the drive-thru phone the price was $7.80, but then was told at the window it was $7.83. Ok, not a big deal; however, I did not get a receipt either. Once I got home, there was no tartar sauce for the fish. The fish was overcooked, the coating on the fish was almost burnt brown and the fries were extremely soggy. I called to ask about the tartar sauce; I was told "you have to ask for it". I am wondering why this place only had 3 outta 5 stars. I'm sitting here on this beautiful morning enjoying a nice, hot cup of Joe and enjoying the atmosphere. Great place for some good breakfast that fills you up. You can't go wrong with the free coffee that's included with the breakfast. This place is always packed in the morning primarily by old geezers that join here to congregate and talk about current political affairs. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a solid breakfast spot with a lotta bang for your buck. Sure as hell beats McDonalds or Carl's breakfast. Not sure why this place is rated at 3 stars. It's a burger joint that's very with a friendly staff. It's solid 4.5 stars. I tried an bacon avocado turkey burger and my wife had the carne Asada burrito, both were fantastic. The turkey burger was nice and juicy (one of the better turkey burgers i have had - nice a juicy. My Wife's burrito was very authentic and was much better than we expected from a burger place. We also had an order of the onion rings which were very tasty & crunchy. I think the burger and fries (regular and sweet potato) are delicious. They spared no expense designing the place. It has a fun atmosphere, including a section with coffee-shop type chairs for those looking to maybe hang out awhile. Usually the food is OK to somewhat better than OK (sometimes less than OK). That being said, probably my biggest issue is with service (not that I haven't had issues with the food). I live near the restaurant and have been a patron since before when it was Hamburger Express. They've managed to get one of my last five orders correct. I don't always have time to check the bag and I'm not going to go through opening all of the containers to make sure everything has been included. 5 orders ago was 3 burger meals. It was given to us in a box that was taped closed because the lid wouldn't stay on. We ended up with 1 order of fries for 3 meals. Visit #2 and 5 there were things missing from the huevos rancheros. First time was no beans and this time there was no rancheros sauce at all. Just plain eggs, beans and hash browns (under cooked as usual). Visit 3 they completely put the wrong burger in with the meal after reading it to me correctly. I have had issues with the quality of the food as was said in some other reviews. The burgers (when they get the order right) are usually good but there are other issues such as the hash browns are never done right. Sometimes they hit it out of the park but it is VERY inconsistent and getting to be not worth the chance (especially considering the relatively high prices). read more
