Positives: 1) Authentic 2) Great price per value as well as great specials. Lunch specials go into the weekend too. 3) Fast service and ample parking. We like sushi when we have coaching as to what is good. In other words when someone knows what is good at particular locations. My kids love this place but it was just okay for us. I really enjoyed my dinner from here. I ordered the volcano roll which I thought was amazing! I definitely recommend trying it. They were very generous with the amount of cream cheese they added so if ur not a fan I probably wouldn't get this roll but I personally love cream cheese so I was beyond happy. I also ordered the seaweed salad which was fresh and delicious. As well as the spring rolls which were surprisingly delicious also. My parents ordered the spider roll and the shrimp tempura roll and both of them were very good as well as reasonably priced. I definitely recommend trying this place ! read more

I understand that a lot of people like Fancy Sushi. I disliked it immensely. I would eat a dry peanut butter sandwich on white bread before I would return to this establishment. Their service is good. The restaurant appears clean and the menu has a lot to offer. For me ...the problem is food quality. We started with fried calamari. It was LOADED with two kinds of sauce and the texture was off. When my husband bit into the calamari it was stingy and pulled like a grilled cheese sandwich. We ordered the Lady Gaga Roll and the Honey Chicken and Walnut Chicken. The roll was mushy in the middle of the rice and you could not make out any seafood. It taste disgusting. Their honey chicken and walnut shrimp entree was also disappointing. The shrimp was swimming in a white sauce. I don't know what white sauce is but it taste like it had a strong mayonnaise base. The honey chicken was laden with a sticky sweet and very thick dark colored sauce. It taste like a convenience product and not like something made from real ingredients. The chicken itself was dry and overly chewy. We left the food on the table and paid our check and left. read more

Too small of a restaurant to eat at. We were sat in the back in what seemed like a " last minute side table". As servers came in and out from picking up drinks and food, our table was always bumped into , even causing one server to knock over our table menu. When we asked to be moved to an open booth, we were told " NO" , since it was a different server assigned to the booth area. Mind you, we had only been served our drinks when we asked to move. For this reason, we won't go back. $75 dollars for sushi can be spent at a better restaurant that prioritizes making customers seating arrangements more pleasurable. read more

Never had a dash from here before and glad we did. The seaweed salad needed a bit more kick but was made up for by the boss wasabi. I loved the octo but it was not my wife's bag. The sauce with the krab Rangoon was thin but still tasty. I loved the California roll but my wife was expecting bigger. The spring rolls were my wife's favorite and I am no fan but they tasted great. My husband and I stopped by for a quick bite to eat around 3pm on a Monday. Of course at that time it was empty, which was great. We were seated and had our orders taken quickly. The food came out pretty fast as well. Luckily we knew which roll was which since our waitress didn't bother telling us or speaking to us or cracking a smile. The food was okay, but was lacking in flavor. It wasn't bad, but nothing amazing, nothing to crave. We were done we paid, we got no thank you, no have a good day, no come again. I went here in June with my stepdaughter and we loved it. She had fried banana in her roll which I thought was strange at first but it was delicious! I think her roll was called the Caribbean. I can't remember the name of my roll but it had avocado and white tuna in it. We also enjoyed the edamame and Treasure Island appetizers. The Treasure Island appetizer has tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avocado and ponzu sauce. Everything was very fresh tasting and had delicious combinations. This is a small place on the corner of the strip mall, near the movie theater and ice cream place. It was very clean and had plenty of parking. Bonus: Without us asking for it, they gave us a mango mochi ice cream dessert for free. read more

The sushi was fantastic and I was very ready to drive the 30 minutes to come back at a later date! However, I grew up with tipping for service that exceeded expectations. My partner and I have both worked service positions and understand tipping, but this occasion was not necessarily a time where the servers or staff had exceeded my expectations. It was a $100 bill for 2 people and we weren't there for hour. It felt like the server was hovering over tables and once we exited the restaurant the server chased us down saying we had to tip. I had actually waited until she walked away from our table to fill out the check bc she was just standing watching us. We were confused as to if it was required because then of course we would. Yet, they said no but to chose between 15, 20, or 25%. We looked shocked and very confused. And asked if they could just simply show us where it said the tip was required for a party under 6 people. The server just continued saying that we had to leave a tip. This round about went on for a full minute of us trying to understand why the server chased us out onto the sidewalk to confront us about this. Talking with the other servers, she ended up laughing and turning away from us to which we walked out the door. If the tip is required, have it posted or just add it to the bill. But do make something optional and then require it after all is said and done. Little to say, we won't be coming back due to service. If you want to try the food, definitely do take out. read more

First time at this location, I had high expectations based on the reviews. The menu is basically almost falling apart, they look 20years old with worn down sides and the restaurant name is worn off almost completely. I ordered the crab ragoons which were almost all busted on the sides and bottoms and filled with grease. There was hardly any crab meat inside of them, all cream cheese. The deep fried rolls are thick with breading which was inedible after a few pieces. The waitress was on her cell phone for most of our visit and never came to our table. Not inviting whatsoever and are rude if you ask for anything from them. The rolls themselves aren't bad. Decent prices. Probably won't be back. read more

What an awesome spot! I went to the movies alone, having a mid-life crisis atm, and I stumbled across this gem! I went in and got seated at the sushi bar, I ordered a tam yam soup, seaweed salad and some type of maki specialty roll. The service was exceptional, I asked the server to clarify which rolls has cream cheese (it taste sooo good! Don't judge me) and she directed me to a particular shrimp roll, when she brought out the soup she brought out a spring roll looking thing that was deep fried with cream cheese (sooo good!) she said it was on the house! It was soo thoughtful of her. I enjoyed every part of the meal, and when they brought me the check they brought me half an orange, to settle the stomach.
