I ordered to go from them because my Chinese food spot is closed on Tuesdays. I believe I paid around $12 and was very disappointed in the meal. The "fried rice" was just white rice with soy sauce and oil, no flavor or veggies. There were like 5 pieces of chicken. Lots of veggies which I loved but could've used more protein. The service was efficient. I laid and sat and waited like 5 minutes for them to bring it out. Soda was also flat and flavorless. I doubt I will be back. They were busy though and almost all booths were full so maybe I just didn't order the right thing. read more

Hibachi Express Clermont - Hibachi Chicken after I doused it in sauce because it didn't have flavor - Sushi Bars Near Me - Clermont, Florida

Gave me leftover rice that tasted disgusting and the rice smelled sour and almost made me throw up

So I've been coming to this place for the last 7 years. One time last year I placed an order and ended up in the hospital for a week so I couldn't come get it. I've since then apologized and tipped 10 times after that's. At least. So today I call to place and the order and the guy at the register said he wouldn't make the food til I was there but didn't tell me this time I got there. So in the car waiting with two dogs. Petty at its finest never again coming to this place. read more

I've been craving egg rolls and sushi for awhile and bought some here for the first time, even with me picking up late food was very very fresh and very delicious. Hit the spot! I would rate them 10/10 and will definitely be returning. Also prices are very fair compared to Publix sushi which is also my favorite, Publix is more expensive compared to here. The restaurant displayed the food so amazing as well. read more

This place is my favorite place to eat lunch in Clermont! Healthy, quick service, and affordable. There are many places to sit, although you order at the counter and get your own drink. Hibachi meal comes with a white sauce and a drink for 8.99. The vegetables are always fresh and cooked perfectly. I've tried their avocado sushi and their edamame and both are delicious. Do yourself a favor and check it out! read more

We stopped by the Hibachi Express after it received great reviews from a friend. It's in the Publix plaza, near Chase, off of hwy 27. It's looks more so like a take-out only location; however, the inside provides the option to dine without it feeling too 'fast-food like.' They have lunch specials, ranging from $8-10. I ordered the hibachi chicken lunch special. They ask if you'd like many different, extra sauces; but, they fail to mention that you will be charged. The food was good. It tastes like any other hibachi restaurant or location. Nothing stood out; average meal, but the veggies were very fresh. I will attend this restaurant again and recommend to anyone. If you're looking for a quick, reasonable option, this is a good stop. read more

It's been a while since we visited this restaurant. You order at the counter and may dine in or take out. Everything is made fresh and served hot. The salad dressing is amazing. You can even purchase extra to take home. We bought the hibachi dinner and fried gyoza. The steak was cooked perfect! You need to try this place! read more

Mhmm! I would have never thought I would see myself coming here for lunch. I was craving a quick hibachi place and this was the one with the most reviews on Yelp. I placed a take-out order because I've read it does get busy around lunch time. I arrive and man, this place is packed! However, they know how to keep the line going and people are not waiting an excruciating amount of time for their order to be completed. I ordered the teriyaki steak hibachi that came with fried rice, steamed veggies and yum-yum sauce. The food was hot, delicious and the portions are massive for a lunch special! I was surprised how soft the steak was too. I spent $10 for the whole thing. Of course, I ate it all but a normal person would save half of it for dinner. They have seats all around the restaurant and it's pretty clean. I love how I could continuously get my own refills for drinks without having to keep going back to cashier. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time so you're not waiting as long. You just pay at the register and your food is ready to enjoy. Even though it was a take-out order, I still decided to eat inside. read more

I love this place for pick up, I cant speak too much on the ambiance because we always take it home to eat. It's like the only hibachi place in Clermont, so this is sometimes our go-to when we are in the mood for Hibachi but want to order out. I usually get the shrimp and chicken, but I feel like the shrimp is often overcooked. So I might just stick to the chicken. They also have sushi, which we sometimes order and share a roll or 2. I'm not a big fan of their salad and ginger dressing but ut cones with the meal. Overall our service is good tho and we always pick up our food. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the overcooked shrimp. read more

My family and I really love this place. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. So many different items for you to choose from. Salad, sushi, fruit, chicken, seafood and dessert. And to top it off you can request for your own style dish with the hibachi grill in the back. You will find something you like. Restaurant is clean even when super busy. read more

This restaurant is in a strip mall. When you first walk in you're a little put off because you order at the counter and then pick it up. But we were hungry and we wanted to go winetasting so!!!! They had three lunch specials for 7.99 that included drink. The meal included vegetables and fried rice. OMG it was delicious! The vegetables were cooked perfectly, the shrimp were amazing as was the rice. I offered my husband (who ordered the lunch sushi special) one of my shrimp so he could see how delicious it was. He refused and I was so happy that he did. By the way, there were SIX shrimp. This was so good we came back. The only issues I had were that they weren't too good about cleaning the tables after people left. Also, I would have liked unsweetened tea. read more

A quicker and more inexpensive alternative to a regular hibachi restaurant, Hibachi Express is a good option for a quick, working lunch. Food: I ordered the hibachi vegetable lunch special which consisted of vegetables and lots of rice. The vegetables were good but the rice was a little salty. The lunch special also came with a yummy white sauce and a drink. Some of the drink options at the drink machine did not work such as the lemonade. Service: True to its name, the service at Hibachi Express is fast. I received my food within ten minutes of ordering even though I came with a fairly large group. The cashier was quick and friendly. Ambiance: This is not a sit down restaurant with servers who attend to you but there was ample seating with booths and tables. The restaurant was clean and looked well attended. read more

The good: Serving size was more than adequate. Had the combo platter. Was not over sauced or salty. Flavor on everything was good. Salad dressing was good and salad was fresh. Side order of scallop were done to perfection. The not so good. Everything was overcooked especially the shrimp. It was like chewing rubber. We will try them again but will ask them not to over cook everything. Chicken, steak, shrimp and vegi were all way overcooked. read more

Great lunch specials and quick takeout service. Great portion for lunch specials. Good food overall.

Not that impressed..... Food was good but portions were pretty small for what you pay for. They give you PLENTY of cheap lettuce and rice. I paid $25 for this meal and am walking out the door still hungry. I had a seaweed salad. Tasty but only 2 bites small. Also had an avocado salad. Again plenty of lettuce piled high and one avo. thinly sliced on top. Could have made it at home myself for $1. Main meal was scallop Hibachi. Pretty good but PLENTY of rice that's for sure. I have photos attached to my review. Final thoughts..... don't waste your $$ on any salads here. If you are hungry then order 2 entrees for 1 person. Seriously.....they are that small. read more

I don't give out 1 star reviews EVER. Decided to give this place a second chance (steak was raw the first time). Here we are again, ordered medium steak and it's raw. Not only that but there was metal in my rice from the steel wool they use to clean the grill. Almost ate it. Don't know how this place gets the ratings it does. The rice is bland, the noodles are bland, and the half bite of steak I had was bland. Writing this review to warn others. I am done with this place. read more

Hibachi Express Clermont - Lunch special Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice and mixed vegetables - Sushi Bars Near Me - Clermont, Florida

Stopped in for lunch today for the shrimp and steak lunch specials. Delicious as usual. The steak was tender and had classic teriyaki sauce, as did the shrimp. The vegetables, broccoli, onion, zucchini, and carrots were fresh and lightly cooked, they way I like! All served with a side of fried rice and a medium soda machine drink. My only minor - I wish they had no sugar fresh brew ice tea instead of the soda machine iced tea. Glad we arrived when we did, limited seating with social distancing. Take out was brisk since food is now served in take out container even if dinning in. read more

So, let's talk about pregnancy cravings for a minute ... because they are very real and cause extreme "hangry-ness" when untreated. Seriously though, I've been craving Hibachi for about a week, and given that this past weekend was a holiday weekend, it was harder to find places that were open and also offered curbside pickup / pay online or over phone. We called Hibachi Express, and thankfully they were open on Monday, AND they did offer online ordering. That's a big bonus for us right now because I'm 8 months pregnant and playing it extra safe until baby is born. So contactless delivery is still the best option for us. And while they don't advertise it, they kindly met us at the car and dropped everything off so we didn't have to go inside, mask and all. Also, we ordered a feast for the family ... and they were QUICK! We got everything within 25 minutes of ordering, and the quality was GOOD! Everything was hot and delicious and the order was perfect - no errors or missing items. Needless to say, mama and baby were happy. Kudos to Hibachi Express for going above and beyond to deliver great service and make my day! We will definitely be ordering from them again ... soon. And I cannot wait to try their sushi! You know, when I can have raw fish again. read more

I was not expecting much from a fast food hibachi restaurant and was surprised by how good it was. We ordered the lunch special. For $7.25 you have a choice between Hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp or vegetables with rice & mixed vegetables. It comes with a drink and is available from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. The three of us decided on the steak hibachi. It was delicious. The steak was seasoned nicely and went great with the fresh vegetables. We added french fries, dumplings, sushi and spring rolls to our order. The dumplings were average and didn't taste extra special. The sushi was small and fresh. The spring rolls were the worst. They were the kind that when you bite into them it's just mush on the inside. The little restaurant is very clean and the service was good. They do a large amount of pick up orders and are well received in the area. read more

The food here was good! My hibachi shrimp was flavorful and wasn't too chewy. My rating is low because the amount of plastic waste this place produces is incredibly alarming. I tend to dine-in to reduce plastic waste, but the dine-in salads all came in plastic boxes with plastic ramekins for the dressing and every entree came in several more pieces of plastic. So long as they continue this practice, I will not be returning to dine here. It just breaks my heart to see that much unnecessary waste. I will be happy to edit my review if things change in the future :) read more
