My life was saved with Fancy Paws! I moved to the city and thought I could do without a dog walker, but my dog was letting me know otherwise. Since two of my brothers were already using Fancy Paws, it was a no-brainer that I would use them as well. I have been using them for about two years now, three days a week. Fancy Paws is always on time and keeps me in the loop, he always texts me to let me know everything is ok and my dog was a good girl that day. I have been using Fancy Paws for about 2 months and I am BEYOND happy with their service! My walkers are amazing with my toy poodle and she loves her walks with them. They are helping me train Chloe to go to her crate after the walk, too! While I thought the owner was friendly and genuinely cared about pets, I did not think this was a well-run business and frankly did not trust my walker. The doorman in my building told me that they never took the dog beyond the tree outside the front door, which considering I was paying for a 30 minute walk, was unacceptable. I think the folks at Fancy are nice, but they did not listen to what I wanted or keep their promise. I told them I did not want anyone in my house that I hadn't met, and I wanted the walk to occur between 3 and 4pm. So after promising me that Chris's brother-in-law would be my only walker, I was home unexpectedly and a complete stranger came into my home and he had been walking the dogs all last week. When I called Chris he said "we are very careful about who we hire", that is fine, it was not OUR deal. So now I use Kelly Morgan, and she keeps her word. Just be careful with Fancy Paws they operate at their convenience not yours. read more

I could not say enough good things about Fancy Paws. Since we brought our puppy home at 10 weeks old, they have done an amazing and wonderful job caring for her. My boyfriend and I always say our puppy learned to walk nicely outside and became better acclimated to the city (that she was afraid of) thanks to Fancy Paws. We used Fancy Paws for daily walks for our boston terrier ever since she was a puppy. Our schedules have since changed and we don't require walks anymore, otherwise we would still be customers! Chris and Agnes were very responsive and easy to work with for scheduling. We loved the walkers we had- Toan, Kelly and Ewa- we received a little report each day after her walks with a picture, and the timing was always within the window we had requested. We have been receiving excellent and personalized service from Fancy Paws for almost a year now. Our dog is crazy about his walker! My husband works from home occasionally and is witness to the dog's reaction when his walker comes. Our neighbors see them out together and tell us how happy he looks. I struggled with the stars given to this vendor, as we did hire them for over two years to take care of our puppies with little to no issues. I agree with comments about Agnes and her husband being responsive and accommodating, and a few walkers/sitters were/are reliable. Also, their prices are very competitive and their online portal is a helpful way to keep visits on track. Our review reflects our most recent consecutive negative experiences, which ultimately led us to switching. The first entailed my being home and realizing our dog walker had not returned for a second visit as planned. I did get a message stating he had stopped by and I received a report on the "visit", so I contacted Agnes immediately. The dog walker denied that he had skipped the visit for several days and I did not feel that Fancy Paws was giving me even the benefit of the doubt. In the end, I presented the list of visits recorded electronically in our key fob. It was not until then when the walker 'remembered' what had happened and we received a note from Fancy Paws with an apology. The walker also tried to explain what had happened. We gave our walker a second chance, since he is good with the dogs, and mentioned having a health issue. Looking back, we honestly wondered how many of the times we came home to find a mess could be attributed to a visit that did not happen. Even when this may had never been the case, as you can imagine, the situation left us feeling a bit unsettled. The second incident was when the same walker sent a note about having "found" the clips to our dog gate (which was anchored to the wall with three plates) on the floor. When I got home to look at the damage, the gate was still locked- it became apparent that it had been opened with the lock still on, which in turn, caused the clips and plates to be yanked off the wall (along with a chunk of wall). After confirming with our concierge that no one else aside from our dog walker had been in, and showing the pieces and the ripped wall to the handyman, it was obvious that neither gravity, nor my two 5 and 8-pound dogs combined could have ever done this. We were not as worried about fixing the wall or the gate. We were however, not satisfied with the overall way in which this was handled, which is why we ultimately decided to switch.
