Mindy is the best! I've been going to her for going on 14 years now. She pays attention to detail, is fast and cares about how your nails turn out. She did myself and my moms nails today and they turned out so beeuitful! Mindy worked quickly, but did a great job! I was just a walk in the afternoon before my sisters wedding (I know, last minute, but it's a destination wedding ‍). Anyways, I had never done anything like this to my nails before, and now there's no going back because i LOVE this! They have a whole ring of gel polishes that have this same metallic-like effect. I went there on the fly, a sunday, and my mother needed acrylics and myself a manicure. I was very impressed with the quality of their work. My mothers nails looked the best they have in years. Mindy did her nails. Perfect length and thickness, which is very important, as they look more natual. I loved my manicure from Cindy, and got an extra massage treatment added on. Total was 18 $ for that. So we came back for pedicures todayand they were great, w a wonderful massage!!! Our new and favorite salon! read more

Warning: this review is on customer service. Otherwise, I would have given 4 stars for the actual nail services as they were very good. Wish Yelp allowed for more than one rating in the same review but here it is.... WTF!!!!!! I came here 2 weeks ago for a pedicure and a gel manicure. They did a good job (customer service was just OK) so I brought my daughter here this past Saturday for a regular French manicure. While her nails were soaking another customer came in with her daughter. The nail tech doing my daughter's nail left my daughter to go do the little girl that just walked in. WOW! I waited a few minutes before getting my daughter to leave (because I wanted to see what they would say/do) when a totally different nail tech jumped up to do my daughter. This was mad crazy and very rude! The owner later tried to say that they did that because the nail tech that was doing my daughter's manicure had just done a manicure and they have a policy that a nail tech can't do the same two types of services back to back. Are you kidding me???? Was that some BS or what? And even if that's her policy (because hey that's her business and she can run it anyway she sees fit), why didn't they say that BEFORE they left my daughter to go do the other girl? I'm a reasonable person so a simple explanation UPFRONT would have been better IMO. The whole thing was just awkward! Oh yeah, they were talking in their language ALOT!!!! So obviously they were gossiping about ME!!!! As a result, I didn't feel valued and will not return. read more

I went to Aloha Nails first and they were packed. It was going to be a long wait so I decided to try Fancy Nails. They were busy but got me right in for a pedicure. I wish I knew the gals name who did the job, because she was fantastic. So then I asked about acrylics vs gel and ended up getting a set of French manicure gels. I love, love, love them. It's gel over my own nails. LOVE this concept. Lina was the gel extraordinaire. She told me to come back in three weeks and you can count on it! I will definitely go back to this salon. Ps....some of the reviews referred to the staff talking amongst each. So what. If they want to talk about me let them. If it bothers you so much ask the manager to have a word, in English, with her people. I've been to some spas that don't allow their staff to talk in any language other than English. Been here twice and after my second visit I won't be back. Both times I was the only customer in the shop and there is a reason, their customer service is unsatisfactory compaired to other nails shops i've been to. 1st visit: double fill on pink/whites $30 w/gel. The lady took a long time and knicked one of my cuticles but the nails turned out great! 2nd visit: Single fill pink $23 w/gel. The lady took 1 hour and 20 mins, Knicked 5 of my cuticles, was sick coughing everywhere and filed majority of nails crooked. And gel has already chipped day after. I came here yesterday with my daughter and treated her to her very first spa pedicure. I LOVE their selection of nail polishes, they have serisouly a plethora of great OPI colors. Nice and clean spa chairs. The lady that worked on my pedicure (Lynn) gave me a wonderful foot massage and didn't try to upsell me unnecessary packages. My daughter loved her pedicure and they put a cute flower design on her big toe that was adorable. We will definitely be back again :) read more

The first time I went it was really fun - Mother's Day - the girls who work there were all in great mood - I met the manager who was very good at Upselling! I caved in since it was mother's day and wanted to treat myself... they did a good job - not great but the prices arent too bad and they do take credit cards - beware - if you use debit, there is a 50cent fee. the second time I went was even better - no big upsell - they just did what I asked and they did a fantastic job with the french pedicure. I'm blown away by this place. Super cheap, new equipment, professional staff and beautiful work. I went to have my acrylics removed and gel manicure done. Mindy did such a thorough and great job and spent more than and hour making sure I had coat after coat to get the thick gel look. She only charged me $30. I wish I still lived in SoCal so I could go back. She chatted with me and was friendly and there was very little Vietnamese chatter among staff (which tends to bother me if they never speak to me directly and I just feel out of place.) read more

I came to Fancy Nails to try it out since my coworkers were recommending it ever since they saw my terrible gel mani that only lasted a week and a half. I went in as a walk in and got taken right away by Michelle, who went above and beyond my expectations. She made sure they were straight, clean, even, and made sure i was happy 110%. I had the gels for almost a full month without any coming off!!! I tried this place for the first time the other day, wanted to find a good pedicure spot since I just moved to the area. So glad this place is open til 7 so you can go after work. I really enjoyed my pedi here by Lynn. She was really gentle which really liked bc some other places I've tried get too strong when they massage your legs. My review is strictly for the service. I was a walk-in today and asked to have my 'dip powder' (like gel but stronger) removed and a manicure. The woman told me "just 5 minutes." Then a lady took me back but didn't do anything and moved me to another station "because you say it gel." The dip powder is removed the EXACT same way as gel...cotton ball, acetone, cover in foil and let soak to remove. I waited another 17 minutes and nobody came to help me, there were at least 4 ladies I saw working in there. I got up and left and went to Ocean Retreat down the way, where I got immediate service - a mani, old gel/dip removal and a deluxe pedi for $47...plus a free glass of wine!! I cannot vouch for the nail work they do at Fancy and, unfortunately, I won't be back to find out. There are simply WAY too many nail places to waste my time like that. read more

I was definitely planning to return here to get a gel manicure...but after my regular manicure peeled the day after I got it, I'm not sure it is worth coming back if they couldn't make a regular manicure last more than a day. I had them use OPI polish, which I am a die hard fan of, and use at home on myself. The manicurist didn't use nail polish remover after she applied the lotion, and instead dipped my nails in the cold water and then gently wiped off my nails with a towel...this is nails 101, if the nail is oily, the polish won't stay on the nail. If I can make my at-home manicures last longer, why spend the money coming here? read more

I have tried this place more than once expecting it to be better. They almost always quick me with the drill or drill to the point it hurts. They also have a timer that supposedly should be how long a specific option to take. To say they are rushed is an understatement these women don't take their time for anything. I have made an appointment twice and had to wait and had them leave during my manicure to start another customer or help someone else. If you get acrylics go somewhere else, after less than 24 hours at least 4 of my nails have lifting. I am on vacation and not doing anything rough to cause the lifting (which I've never had happen elsewhere). Also double check what they will charge you, what was on the board and what i got charged for a fill was different. But after 1 hour in the salon for a fill I was ready to go, not argue about the price. read more

Lynn does an amazing pedicure along with Vivian. Mindy is spectacular when she does my acrylics. The staff here are always courteous and so nice. They get me in and out in a timely manner. They take walk ins but it's better to ask for an appointment because they are always busy. Wouldn't go anywhere else in the world. read more

I love getting gel nails, as it lasts so long. The first time I had gel done here the service was horible. They only talked to each other. The owner or manager Mindy was very rude. 1 month later I wanted to redo the gel so I went back. BIG mistake! I think the girl was in a hurry or something. She had just put the acetone on when she began scraping and sanding my nails off! I said oww but she continued. When I washed my hands I could feel that MY nails had beed scrapped off. I had french gel put on and under the clear you can see where my nail is so thin it has red streaks. I'm afraid to have the gel removed as I don't have a nail underneath! read more

I have now been to the salon three times. On my first visit, I was lucky enough to have Michelle do my gel manicure. My manicure lasted three weeks and I am hard on my nails. I am sure the other manicurists are also good, but once Michelle did such a great job on my nails the first time I was in there, I have stuck with her. All three times, my gel manicures have lasted weeks. I have also gotten two pedicures from her and both times, I was happy with the job she has done. I think the salon has a few things going for it. Michelle's excellent work and the quality of the product they use to do gel manicures. I went to Aloha Nail Salon before trying here and every time I went there, my nails chipped within the first week. I definitely recommend Fancy Nails & Spa. read more

This used to be my favorite 'one & only place' to get a pedicure - Tina was THE BEST & I would have gladly given them 5+ stars... Tina is gone, so I thought I would try another highly recommended by management person at this establishment. All started off ok, the initial trimming & filing was a little rough but I could get past that, until the massage began - I had to ask the woman 3 times to stop because it was too hard of a massage (never had that happen before!!!) - I always get the Deluxe Pedicure & honestly that day, I wished the painful experience would just end! Toes were painted quickly & I went on my way. Next day, the top of both feet were badly bruised/painful & my husband asked me if someone had stomped on top of my feet because they looked so bad! When Tina did my toenails the polish lasted quite a long time & I do not recall it ever chipping off - This time it chipped off the edge of the toenails within 5 days & polish was painted over my cuticle so it looked funny as it just began to grow out. I found a new place, close by - clean, decent & half the price without the pain... If Tina comes back, I will try again, until then, NO WAY!!! read more

Got my nails done today, just plain white tip acrylics. They used pink acrylic over the white tips, which made the white light pink. Also after drying there's obvious ridges from the drummel. They left tons of acrylic under my nails but I told Vivian, and she fixed. Both girls who did my nails, Vivian and Mindy, we're not friendly and barely spoke the entire time. Will not be going back, at least without an appointment. Even then I'm not sure that they would put the effort into my nails, and not rush. read more
