Fancy Nails is my go-to place close to home for a pedicure and gel manicure. Jenni and Theresa are my favorite nail techs, but pretty much everyone there seems to know what they're doing. I like that it's a large salon so you don't feel squished like in some nail salons. The pedi chairs are very comfortable. I always make an appointment ahead of time so that I don't have to wait, but you can totally walk in without an appointment....you just might have to wait a bit on the weekend. They offer dip for nails, but I've never tried that. read more

Had an appointment at 4:30. Hit bad traffic and called to say we would be 5-10 minutes late. Got there and it was not as if anyone had just been seated -- they didn't skip a beat with getting folks in prior. So, we had to wait. No one looked up and acknowledged us. Waited until 5:00, when we were finally acknowledged and we had to mention the appointment time that has long passed. My daughter asked for shorter nails twice and nail tech did not listen. 5:45 and still here. Frustrating. Tips: 1. Honor appointments. 2. Greet customers as they walk in. 3. Techs need to listen to their customers and also consider their age. My daughter is barely 14, and asked for shorter nails but did not get what she asked for. 4. I came to get acrylic nails done and what I got was them painting my nails and a one minute hand massage. After when drying I saw the bails and the nail polish was not in any good quality. Completely rude and wanted to charge $32 for a ten year old girl to get her nails and toes painted nothing else!! Nope didn't do it then got the worst service for myself. I went in a few days ago to see Hannah, WITH AN APPOINTMENT might I add, and he told me she wasn't there. He looked around and told me they were busy and couldn't get me in. I used to love this place. The first time I went, David (the owner), gave me the best pedicure I've had in my life. Due to Covid I stayed away for awhile. Went back recently and I had a pedi and gel mani in under 40 minutes combined. The tech didn't remove my calluses or scrub the bottoms of my feet. The leg massage lasted 1-2 minutes on each side. She was very rough and the massage was not relaxing. She got out the hot stones and literally ran them down my legs twice. It was over in the blink of an eye. Mani was also very rushed and hand massage was nearly non existent. They're rushing through clients as quickly as possible. The whole experience gave me anxiety. $58 for 40 minutes seems very overpriced. read more

I have gone here a couple times and it's been fine. This time was the worst experience I've ever had getting my nails done. The girl I had kept cutting my skin with the little machine that they use to trim down your nails. Not just one or two times but I can count more than 10 scratch marks on my fingers. While she was doing it you can clearly see I was bleeding on almost every single finger and it was miserable to sit through. I was so sweaty from my body being in pain from her going over all of the cuts and then kept putting a liquid on that was burning them even more and at some points it was so bad that my hands were flinching from the pain. During the process she even kept saying sorry for cutting you but proceeded to do so even more and I was in so much pain that whole time and I said to her that there were a lot of scratch marks. You want to try and tell them and be nice but after them going over the same cut marks and then not listening you get very frustrated and just want it to be over already and I thought walking out was rude on my end but I should of. At the end they put an oil on but she drenched it all over to where both of my hands were covered in it and I couldn't grab my purse or wallet without everything being so greasy so I had to wipe it off with one of their hand towels. Everything was just so incredibly rough and sloppy. Now I wasn't even going to post a review at all, I just wanted to leave but this is what made me more frustrated. After, as I was paying for the service (I just got a fill) at the front desk (which was $37) the guy that seems to run the place asked if I wanted to tip. Of course no matter what I'm doing I always tip but this time I didn't want to. It was a bad experience and I didn't want to spend more then $40 on this experience. Instead of just saying "okay" the guy asked me "what do you do for a living?" I was very taken back as I know he's never asked me this before and the reason he was asking was because I didn't tip a couple bucks this time. I answered his question, paid the full $37 and left and will not be coming back. You're taking a gamble on who you get there and the guy that runs that place was very out of line. I come to this salon every now and then, and it's never been a bad experience until now. My nails are completely crooked there are bubbles in the gel polish. She was so quick to get out me out of the chair and overcharge me, I will not be returning. I was just charged $60.00 for a full set with a CLEAR COAT of gel. I'm normally not a girly girl so nail salons don't really interests me but I was on vacation with my chica and decided what the hell, why not? So this review is from not your typical girl who gets their nails done routinely. I probably do it once every few years lol. Upon arrival, this nail salon looks very fancy and clean. Their tools I think are packaged and their prices are pretty standard. This place is also the 1st time in my life to get my nails done by a guy 0.0 I think the techs there are nice and friendly and they explained to me any questions I had like what is difference between gel manicure and regular ones. I believe there is a pretty big selection of colors to choose. Since I'm not an expert, check out my pics and see for yourself! :) Also, they provide free coffee and candy. I've gone to fancy nails 3x for SNS dip nails and my manicures have never lasted me more than 5 days. At other places, sns has lasted me a good 4 weeks.. I cannot express how low quality their products are. I'm not thrilled by the service either. I figured I'd try this place out a few times before deciding if it was just an off day or a quality issue, but after one nail has completely come off in 4 days AGAIN, I don't think I'll be going here ever again. I have been going to this salon for my nail needs since they were at their old location over 5 years ago. The owner, David, always acknowledges regular customers and makes you feel like your business is appreciated. I never request a specific nail tech and just take who is available because they are all fantastic. However, I especially enjoy my time with Elly. She makes conversation and is thorough with her work. The salon itself is always in pristine condition. Since a move to the west valley 10 years ago I still made the effort to go the distance, it's been a number of years and still love the service. Got my first pedicure in a few years there and you know it's clean and their tools are clean compared to other places that have given me nail problems. This time Tracey helped me a decision and get SNS gel set for the first time having nails since my wedding 10 years ago where they gave me a free set of nails and pedicure when I was with my bridal party and flower girls. She helped me pick out a beautiful color and I was so very happy. They upgraded their salon since last being there and it's absolutely gorgeous and comfortable and most importantly, clean! This was probably the worst experience I have had. I went and got 2 gel manicures and brought my step daughter the woman named Vikki was so rude throughout the entire experience, consistently making comments about how she did not like the color I chose for my nails (which was a neutral pink for a wedding) and then continues on about my nail beds being uneven. I wanted a relaxing experience and it was so far from it! I will not be returning to this salon! If you go don't bother speaking with the manager, Lee, he is rude as well and laughed at my complaint. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. I have been here twice and on both occasions the technicians have poked and prodded at my cuticles making them bleed. The second time crossed the limits as the bleeding wouldn't stop. I requested for a cotton ball hoping that the pressure would stop the bleeding. When it didn't, the technician joked that I have thin blood and she continued to apply goop over goop on a bleeding finger. She also offered to apply "nail glue" to seal the wound (?) which I promptly refused. To their credit, they offered antiseptic ointment and a band-aid which I accepted and left, but not without having to pay $15 for having my gel polish removed which was the last straw! read more

I made my appointment two days in advance, I arrived on time and was told they were running "a few minutes later". That translates to 45 mins late. My nails were (were) in beautiful, healthy condition. I have had no breaks for years. I went to get the dip powder nails. After waiting 45 minutes, she literally did the entire dip process within 15 minutes - it normally takes my regular nail tech 50 mins to a full hour. They also quoted me $40 and then went ahead and charged me $50 at checkout? Within an hour, my nails started to crack. The next morning, the dip cracked so badly that it actually ripped my natural nail off. Later that day, I was doing some housework and another nail got ripped off so badly that my finger literally did not stop bleeding for two days. It was too painful to work, to pick anything up, even trying to shower, let alone wash my hair. My beautiful nails have been completely destroyed and not only that, it was a pretty severe injury to my finger. I won't even go back to have them fix the mess. Without a doubt, the worst salon I have ever been to, bar none. I am furious that I went in with beautiful nails and within days, my nails are destroyed and I am still in a lot of pain with the nail that got ripped right off causing it to bleed incessantly. read more

They guy who did my nails was rude, he legit made my fingers bleed while he filled my nails, my fingertips are bruised, and he was rude to me the entire time. He would basically throw my hands back at me when he was done with one and not the other. When I asked for gel, the receptionist lady rolled her eyes and shoved the gel choices into my hand. This is my go-to spot for mani-pedi's and brow waxing. They do a bang-up job on my poor feet because it takes a lot to get those pups looking good. I have never made an appointment but never had to wait more that 3-5 minutes to be assigned a nail tech. They recently got new massage chairs that don't grind your bones or shake you to death like some chairs do. Also, this is one of the best places I have been for a brow wax. My sensitive skin has taken a beating at many other places but never here. I don't know anyone by name but the employees are all very nice and skilled at what they do. I'm in love! The owner greeted us the minute we entered. He pointed out that they use plastic liners in the basin that you soak your feet in, and are thrown out after each pedicure - SOLD!! I love the fact that hygiene is of the utmost importance. You can catch some pretty nasty stuff at nail places. The basic pedi is 22.00 and goes up from there. My Mom and I both did the Paraffin wax pedicure (it was wonderful), I did a French manicure & design and my Mom did a solid color, total cost was 79.00 for the two of us - not bad! Hygiene, great prices, and fantastic service -- never thought I would find all 3 in one salon :) *They also have a HUGE selection of colors for gel nails which is usually very limited. ** They also prefer CASH rather then debit/credit card and have a sign saying so. read more

I've been going to Fancy Nails since I moved to PHX in July of last year based on the Yelp* reviews and have never been disappointed. This is the first salon I have been to in a long time where I don't have a specific technician work on my nails. Every person in the salon does a great job. I am fortunate to be out of work before 3pm during the week so I can get to Fancy Nails by about 3:15...I've never had to wait for a service when I arrive around that time. I have been on weekends and it does get busy, so I'd recommend you make an appointment. The salon stocks OPI shellac/gel polish in addition to some other brands I don't recognize. A gel manicure costs $25. For all of my pedicure people, Fancy Nails uses disposable pedi tub inserts so no worries about someone else's foot funk touching your tootsies (big plus)! They have a few options for pedicures, so ask to see the menu before you start. They also offer waxing services and tanning as well but I can't comment on them since I've never used them. The salon is clean, well stocked, and everyone is always professional and courteous. There are plenty of other nail salons closer to where I live but I choose to come to Fancy Nails. They're everything I was looking for in a nail salon! read more

Cute place. Fantastic pedis!!! Hours are: Mon-Sat 9am-7pm, Sun 11am-4pm. They are very well priced for the treatment you get. The customer service is excellent! It's a hidden gem and has become my new go-to for manis and pedis. I'll have to try some of their other services as well. read more
