Fancy Fruits and Produce has multiple locations and today I stopped by their location in East Orlando on East Colonial Drive. While the parking lot is relatively small, I was fortunate enough to find parking right in the front. In addition to fruit and produce, Fancy Fruits and Produce also has meat and general canned goods, spices, etc. Pricing is fair, though I was disappointed that some of the produce was borderline and was not as fresh as it could be. However, a bit of rooting around found a beautiful piece of produce. I did find it interesting that they had security standing by the exit. Is it for loss prevention or have they had other kinds of issues in the past? Things that make you go hmm. Ultimately, I would recommend here if you are in the neighborhood.

Chicken feet- packed

This was a great find relatively close to home (Oviedo) to find authentic latin foods. I was particularly looking for chicken feet to make bone broth as it's commonly used in Latin America to heal your body from within. I called in advance to ask if they had it and the manager at the meat/poultry area confirmed so off I went! They had feet, chicken necks, ox tail... all the typical animal parts used in Latin food preparation. I also snagged some tequeños (queso and queso/guava) an a couple of other herbs for my broth. Parking in ample and right in front of the place. The workers are super nice and helpful. I'll be back!

Lots and lots of fruit at very good prices. Check out the pictures for prices and selection. The fruit is on the edge of being over-ripe, so come in and buy for the next day or two, dont expect it to last long like the under-picked Publix stuff. A huge selection of vegetables, ground-provisions (tubers), and some ethnic selections that I don't find on regular grocery shelves. Cheap and fresh, with good selection... I would not recommend the meats.

Nasty avocado
Jessenia J.

Honestly, I'm considering not coming here anymore. When I come to a place that specializes in produce I expect them to have fresh produce. However, it seems that every time I come, which is often, the produce is literally rotting. Today, I needed an avocado and all the avocado were spoiled. One of them was about half good. I brought it to the register and tried to see if they can lower the price. The lady said she could only reduce it by 20 cents. The guy next to me who sells avocado in Philadelphia suggested to lower it to $1. She didn't bulge. Are you serious? who's going to buy it? It will end up spoiling completely, so what's the point? Make sometime out of it. Poor customer service. Also, one of the employees was cleaning with a machine making the customers move out of he's way. I know you want to go home but you should wait until you customer filled store empties out. The unprofessional staff and unfresh produce is such a dissapointment and I'm done.

Recently acquired Michelin Guide status this place lives up to the hype. We loved the pork sausage, burnt ends, Dino rib brisket and the Mac and cheese. All of the bbq was made fresh and tender. We liked the bbq sauces offered at the table as well. The interior features dining room tables, condiment station and memorabilia. The line moved quickly and is recommend coming early in the day or pre order if you plan on ordering a lot. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other seasonal items. Prices were fair and we paid around $30 per person for 5 bbq items and 3 medium sides.

The mac and cheese also left me wanting more it just wasn't as rich as I hoped. That said, their collard greens were outstanding truly the star of the show. And the butter gooey cake? That was a sweet win. I also tried their Frisco fries, and they were decent, but I wouldn't rush back just for those. The ambience is really laid-back. It's like any regular barbecue place. I saw at least 3 to 4 tables of people sitting down and enjoying their barbecue and they seem to have a steady stream of traffic. The cashier who is also getting our food order together seemed really nice. She had a great personality. I honestly don't feel the need to go back and visit again. I feel like I would enjoy barbecue more from four rivers.

Our server was attentive and was helpful as she was explaining things to my husband since it was his first time. Between the two we found we preferred the OG single cutlet a little more. Not to say that the curry cutlet is to be missed on - we just prefer its flavor profile. I'd definitely recommend the curry cutlet for anyone who wants an intenser flavor profile. Also, for anyone who isn't comfortable cooking meat to their preferred temp, the curry cutlet is a safe bet. I honestly enjoy the evening seating. My Italian grandparents would take me to the market every weekend and we'd buy cannolis and deli meat and Italian cheeses to prep for different Italian dishes. My friend and I split the eggplant Parmesan sandwich. The sandwich was huge! It was definitely too much for just one of us so we decided to split it. It was served hot and had the perfect amount of sauce and eggplant and cheese. My friend told me that I had to try this pistachio cream cake and it was so flavorful and creamy and delicious! The steak sandwich is my favorite; it has the perfect amount of spice and zest. Bread holds up nicely without becoming soggy from the steak. Rotating soups, sandwiches, and deli items are also available. Associates kindly ask upon entering if it's your first time so they can give you the run-down. Parking can be a challenge at times, and the interior can feel tight and overwhelming if there's a crowd of guests waiting. Stasio's is a great addition to the city as we don't have too many bodega style delis around. I forgot I'm in Florida when I'm here.

The vegetables are fresh and there's a wide selection of meats and seafood. I also like to make my dipping sauce with the garlic sauce blend. My favorite is the Galbi which is seasoned well. Both savory and sweet. Another obsession is the asago dessert which is a tapioca pearls, black beans, fruits and jelly in a sweet coconut milk. I really enjoy going here since it's a good alternative to other AYCE in the surrounding vicinity because of the better quality. Plus, you can order house baked donuts and even build your own with toppings of your choice. It's very casual, and they have a pretty stocked bar and serve espresso drinks. After we ordered at the counter, took our number and sat down, we were given a pork rind to nosh while we sat. Now, I don't care for them, but other diners seem to enjoy and it was a nice and amuse-bouche ;) I'm a sucker for brunch so I ordered the Smoked Turkey Breast, egg and cheese sandwich with runny yolk. It was PHENOMENAL! For only $12 (in today's inflated economy) I was presented with a soft, large potato bun housing tender, perfectly seasoned turkey carved - not deli-style and sliced - thick and juicy steak-cut style. Melted on top was a thick Gouda cheese slice, a perfectly cooked "runny" egg topped with fresh cranberry sauce. I can't say enough about my meal, the presentation and service! They are very intentional to let you know you do NOT bus your own table, they take care of everything even though you order at a counter. The after meal treat of a glazed donut was not only tasty and fresh, but a nice and unique touch and ending to a fantastic lunch. They just started a rewards program for birthdays and texts for specials. I will definitely be going back!
