We went here for the first time after Easter services. After being seated after a short wait, even though the restaurant was half empty, it took over 10 min to be greeted by our server. A ten top waited a long time for a table even though there were tables available. The main reason the wait staff was standing around doing nothing. The food came out quickly. We come here on a regular basis and over the past two years we have noticed little changes to the menu and their more famous items. Their wonderful potato salad is no more. Corporate 86'ed it. It truly was the best we have had. I ordered their formerly wonderful sausage gravy over two biscuits, with two fried eggs to order ($13). I usually get it over rye toast, so the biscuits were not what I was used to. The gravy was very thick and did not have any flow to it. Too much "bread" to not enough gravy. And the flavor was "off". What a shame as that, too, had been a highlight menu item. Will give it another shot on another visit. Wife, who does not eat eggs, ordered her favorite the Left Coast BLT with pesto pasta salad ($15). Somehow, she did not like something with it. To be later investigated. This was a weekday breakfast, as we avoid the mob scene crowds of the weekends. But, there was only one waitress with the hostess helping shuttle prepared dishes from kitchen to table. Gave the Toastery a try and a good experience overall. Service was really good. Seated promptly and orders taken quickly. Server was also very friendly. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich, eggs over easy with bacon and grits. The sandwich arrived and it was very good. The eggs were cooked correctly (doesn't happen at a lot of breakfast places). Bread was well toasted and the bacon crispy. Only complain was the grits. They were very watery almost the consistency of water with no taste so I'll be skipping those next time. Yaideliz was on top of it! SHE WAS AMAZING! From the second we sat down she was very intentive, and every time we requested something as a new side she got it fairly quickly. Great concept but this visit was a miss. Got seated right away, but it did take our server quite some time before she greeted us, and when she did, she told us she would be right with us and walked off. When she came back we ordered our drinks, and those seemed to take a very long time to come out. In fact, our server came back to our table, asked if we wanted corn bread and the bread still came out before our drinks. Then the food came out and I gotta say it wasn't great. The French toast was meh, and the eggs were decent. The bacon was rubbery and the syrup was like water. To be honest it seemed as though all the food was pre cooked and packaged and the Jude warmed up. I wish I would have had time to try out their drinks though, those looked good. read more

DISSAPOINTED IN THE PRICE INCREASE. Our $40 ticket went to a $60 ticket before tip & tax for the same items. Offer Less items for more money doesn't seem right. PLEASE FIX THIS. We live close by and love hopping over for a quick breakfast or special occasions before taking the kids to daycare. When on a timeline ask for the check and box right after ordering. I think a cup of coffee anywhere is a bad value (United your there for a while maybe), but I appreciate that they offered a togo cup for me. Great atmosphere and food. I went for the avocado Benedict and it was amazing. Poached eggs inside of avocado halves topped with pepper jack cheese and pico di gallo. I got a side of the breakfast potatoes and they were delicious as well. They have a large selection of different flavored mimosas including passion fruit, mango, and more. One of the most favorite breakfast joint. I love the freshly squeezed orange juice - I always look forward to it. Greek omelette is delicious - when I'm in mood for no meat omelette that's my go-to. We have eaten here several times mostly for breakfast sometimes for lunch. The breakfast menu features many choices such as eggs any style , egg specialties such as eggs benedict, breakfast sandwiches , French toast pancakes ,waffles, omelets, corn beef hash , turkey bacon to name as few. The lunch menu features a variety of salads, sandwiches, melts, wraps, burgers , mac and cheese to name a few. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and their motto is "where every server is your server." So one may be served by a variety of waiters or waitresses. The food is plated nicely , average portions, comes out hot. Coffee is very good and one gets a cup to go if one asks. Everything we had ordered such as eggs, omelets, eggs Benedict, always fresh and tasty and eggs cooked to order. Went to your restaurant last week and, after ordering our same breakfast meals, with coffee, the cost, including the 20% tip, was slightly more than $52. This is my fourth time coming to this location and I have not been disappointed. Every staff there are very nice. And the last time I was there the staff that was servicing my table was Tyler. One of the best breakfast places I've been to so far. First time here and won't be the last. Our waitress was super sweet as was the other wait staff. The food was good and fresh and they had a great selection on the menu. The mimosa was delicious with freshly squeezed orange juice and they did not skimp on the champagne ;). I'm a huge coffee drinker and the coffee here was just simply delicious! Not watered down at all like most breakfast spots. My reason for the 4 stars was that the wait was a bit long. They were busy but it wasn't So busy that we waited for about 45 minutes for our food. But who knows. Other than that, I do highly recommend this place. Overall this is a great place to eat - the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the service was really good and the food was even better. I love famous toastery! My favorite thing is getting their sausage biscuit with egg and cheese. I honestly haven't had breakfast food this good anywhere else in the Charlotte area. The biscuit melts in your mouth and is so yummy. The sausage has really great flavor as well. Their sausage and gravy was also delicious! It was the ultimate comfort food! My husband got an omelette that was cooked to perfection and he ate every bite unfortunately for me because I wanted to try some! I'm pretty sure this is one of the last meals I had before going into labor so maybe it helps induce you on top of being super delicious haha. I can't wait to go back and have a mimosa since I'm no longer pregnant. This seems to be the hot spot for families as well. read more
