It felt very local and welcoming. I ordered the potato bowl with turkey sausage and toast with a sweet tea. Both servers were great and checked on me regularly. Given the logistics I thought the staff did a great job taking orders and delivering the food. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with sausage and everything tasted great. My son ordered an egg white burrito with avocado which he really enjoyed. Another dish that looked amazing to me was the shrimp and grits, I wanted to try them, but at 1800 calories I passed. I stopped by here instead of Waffle house because I wanted try a small business. I was surprised to see shrimp and grits so I ordered it for takeout. The wait was not long and the people inside were nice. The issue was the food itself. Maybe it's a normal thing but the grits were so watery it was spilling out of the container into the bag before I opened it. When I did open it the oil from the meat ( they have shrimp and sausage in the meal) was sitting on top of the grits. It may be normal, I don't know. If I ever do go back maybe I'll try dining in.
