Chili cheese fries were good just a small amount of fries, smaller portion than other burger spots. The restaurant was very clean inside and good customer service.

Famous is solid. Food service prices all good. The Carson locals spot for sure. Burgers Tacos Fries etc I've prolly eaten here over a hundred times tried numerous items and it's always good. Especially love the onion rings and fried zucchini. If you're in the neighborhood stop by and you won't be disappointed.

Came here for a quick lunch & was very much satisfied! There were so many choices to choose from!! I got the BLT and it was great. I really liked how they seasoned their fries. The service was very nice and patient when I was choosing from their menu. Grabbed a nice spot in their outdoor area to enjoy this meal.

Since I'm a time traveler and all; I've been coming here since the 80's when it was called "Fantastic Burgers". Despite all the super-biased hate by many people with less than 20 "reviews" on their "profile"..... ; Famous Cafe has to honestly be one of the best damn locally owned restaurants ever! I remember going here as a kid with my father eating breakfast every weekend while watching their TV at the back. It can get so packed during the morning because their breakfast deals are so random and affordable. Famous has been uniting Greek and Mexican workers for decades while doing such a fantastic job treating their multi-cultural fan base for so many years. They used to have a bunch of old Carson-related black and white pictures hanging around this place. I sort of wish they still did too because it made things more homely. CORONAVIRUS ERA - With this "new normal" ...Famous has been top notch when it comes to quality, speed and service! I mean damn... one of their cooks has been there for a long time, but he gets my food done super fast! They even keep things extremely clean and sanitized with Purell-like containers around out of safety/courtesy. If you look at all the pictures I posted, you can see some of my favorite meals. My go-to as a kid, was a nice bacon cheeseburger with their tasty zucchini fries with their homemade ranch. The new, beautiful young, strong female cashiers (along with the older ones) do a kick ass job as well because they know how to balance great customer service with getting sh*t done. Parking is never a hassle unless it's a busy weekend and the strip mall is packed...; which is normal. Always look at their windows and signs for random specials!!!! Famous Burgers to me was and IS a huge piece of Carson's heart and soul! Keep up the great work!

While everyone is entitled to their opinion, I personally do not agree with the review below from Paul C. From what I heard from other parents, you visited the Fantastic's stand multiple times for food throughout the event, which speaks highly of the quality of the food. I also tried the food myself, and it was excellent. The turnout and support for their booth were incredible. They had the longest line I have ever seen at any school event, and despite the overwhelming demand, they continued serving families throughout the entire carnival. I spoke with many parents who shared extremely positive feedback, with several saying the burgers were some of the best they had ever tasted and even asking where the restaurant locations were so they could visit again. Large community events can sometimes lead to longer wait times, especially when one vendor becomes the most popular attraction of the evening. However, the team worked hard, stayed committed, and helped make the event a success for the school and families attending. Overall, I believe they did an outstanding job, and the positive feedback from the community far outweighed the negatives. We truly appreciate their support, effort, and dedication to making the carnival a memorable experience for everyone.

Our order: -Onion rings (the right batter to sliced onion ratio & delicious seasoning); -the french fries- crispy and the right amount of salt seasoning *dipped into their Jalapeno ranch, and you will be left smiling!* -the Works: What a burger! I love Portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Persian cucumbers, so when I read that on the menu, I knew I had to order this, and I am not disappointed! This hit the spot. The smash patty topped with my favorites made for a perfect burger filling party. -the Don Chendo burger- the salsa Don Chendo on a jalapeño-Cheddar bun - culinary innovation at its finest! For non-spicy eaters like myself, you can eat this. This is definitely tolerable spice with a delicious flavor that overrules any "heat". The buttery, softness of the bun with the cheddar and jalapenos melted into it compliment the flavors of the patty, red onions and Chendo sauce. Having a burger is a rare craving for us, and thankfully our taste buds led us here this time that we did, because we were left, not only satisfied, but can safely say that this is one of the fewest Exceptional burgers we have tried thus far. Burgers are huge too! You def get more bang for your buck here. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive toward us. We truly appreciated the warm greeting and them making sure we felt comfortable with their product deliveries coming in/out of the restaurant while we ate. Not too big & not too small of a place. Ample seating booths make for a comfy social occasion. We highly recommend to All! & will return again!

Refried beans; crispy tots; vegan cheese; avocado; mushrooms -- hearty; filling; and layered properly. But what really makes this burrito stand out are the house-made sauces. The salsa has the perfect heat; and their vegan dipping sauce elevates the entire experience. You can taste the intention. Now let's talk about the burger. The vegan burger is not an afterthought here. It's juicy; well-seasoned; and balanced. The texture is on point; the toppings are fresh; and it holds its structure without falling apart. You can tell they care about execution. Between the house-made sauces; the fusion flavor profile; and the consistency across both items; Sideburns earns its spot. If you're in Long Beach and want vegan comfort food done right; this is absolutely worth pulling up to.

The chicken was all cut up not a whole chicken breast which I should have seen as a red flag. But I tried to enjoy it, thinking positive and enjoy my night. I finished the beer and ordered a small beer but I started feeling really dizzy during this time. And not from drinking. If you've ever been roofied you know this exact feeling. Things are moving slower. You're spinning. You don't have full control. And you could pass out at any second. Thankfully I got home but it continued in a shower I took to try and wake up, but that didn't work. On my sofa I passed out. And woke up the next day still not feeling good. Still needing to lay down and needing more sleep. Another night passed where I slept early. Like I was knocked out. And today, Friday I finally felt like it was all out of my system. And this all happened because I went to Slip. This is not a fluke. It was not an accident. It happened to me and it can happen to you too. It can happen anywhere maybe, or maybe not. But what's for sure is it happened to me there. If you're with Slip and you're reading this, do not try and make me an offer to return. I won't. Ever.
