Regardless, she made the transaction pretty simple. I agree that the delivery process isn't as streamlined as it should be. My boss and I ordered 4 new desk chairs and almost two weeks later they hadn't been delivered. Apparently even though we thought we completed the sale, it still needed a confirmation from us. A phone call would have been nice, but I digress.

Beautifull is located in the old skate land on Hull street. I was disappointed and distracted by the choice of music playing on the speaker. I've been a regular at Beautiful--I've bought hair, perfumes, and makeup many times, but never…read moreclothes until yesterday. Excited to try a black dress, I also picked out a perfume and some makeup. At home, I discovered that one strap on the dress was hanging by a thread and eventually snapped--clearly a defect. To make matters worse, the perfume bottle was cracked and completely empty. The receipt clearly states that items are refundable or exchangeable within seven days of purchase--and I was well within that window. So today I returned to Beautiful to exchange both items. I was told, "We don't allow exchanges on clothes--everything is checked before it leaves the store. You'd have to buy a new one." This contradicted the policy printed on the receipt. They also claimed the perfume was non-exchangeable--but ultimately made an exception and replaced it. The dress? No dice. It felt like a bait-and-switch: policies are printed in plain view but ignored in practice. If you're shopping here, beware--they won't honor clothing exchanges (or refunds), even when the printed policy says otherwise.

They even have a decent number of CDs although they are priced higher than many Goodwills. Staff seems to be all volunteer. The staffer I encountered really knew his books like nothing else and he really understood vintage vs newer and how many different categories were integrated with each other. He also understood how some other volunteers might improperly categorize things and where to optimally try to look. He could tell that I had a sense of the different array of things in the store too. I was a bit surprised when he told me that he was here only part time. He was trying to see if he could give me a discount as he could tell I a bit surprised about the CD price. Even told me if I got one more CD or DVD that it would be $1 more. However, it was near closing and I just kept the purchase I had decided on. Two of the three CDs I got turned out not to be a win for me. Lol that is how it goes. He told me he worked here part time. He may've assumed I would come back here regularly. That person can feel free to reach out via private message if he was looking to build something more outside of the store. He was staying professional- and I was starting to get tired from a long trip and didn't want to hold him up from near closing time. He noticed my unique choose your own adventure shirt (with quality choices on the back) stuck out to him as did several other people in public.

Things like tax preparation and job placement etc... However my favorite part is that most stuff is sold by weight and they have bins and bins of things to go through. You never know what you are going to find, but if you spend $20 you get a LOT of stuff. Sometimes the staff can be a little surly l, but overall it's worth a visit. Caution: 1. Wear gloves because sometimes you touch things you don't want to... needles and used breast pumps. 2. The shoppers are not very courteous. Many people buy stuff there and resell it because it is so cheap. It is their livelihood and they protect the stuff they put their hands on first. This is most evident when they bring out a new bin. The rule is you can not touch the bin until it is fully in its place.

I come in here almost everyday to purchase clothing from this goodwill outlet. But the manager…read moreJanice who runs this goodwill is always stopping the employees from doing the clothing. So some days the clothes don't get rotated or on some days only half get done. I don't write reviews ever! But yesterday one of the hardest working employees Steven was starting to rotate the clothing bins for over 20+ people waiting on them then the manager Janice walked up to him and told him to completely stop doing clothing and do hard goods for the whole rest of the day. Mind u this was also only 12pm into the day. That is absolutely unacceptable for a place of business and the fact that Steven had already been pulling the bins to get clothes out then told to stop is very frustrating for everyone who comes in here only to buy clothing and willing to spend hundreds of dollars daily on clothes.
