In open spaces they had lots of kids activity and relaxing spots. Whole area was kept clean and constantly monitored, excellent service all around. There were several escalators, elevators and restrooms throughout the shopping center. Plenty of parking spots were available all around, pavements could use some improvement. As we walked around for a bit, I found many of my favorite stores like Lululemon, Dick's, Lego, H&M and an Apple Store too. It was a good mix of popular and expensive brands. They had Macy's and Dillard's departmental stores. Several of the restaurants included CFK, Chick fil a, Chipotle, The Cheesecake Factory, Texas De Brazil, Magliano's and lots more. Initially we went just to just visit Cold Stone, but we ended up spending couple of hours at this shopping center. I also found the rare Capital One cafe. We spent time shopping in Dick's as well. Marshall's and TJ Maxx are sister stores and there's certainly some sibling rivalry going on here…read more Marshall's is the over achiever, they have a more extensive shoe department and men's department, in addition to the name brand women's clothing, accessories, and handbags. They did carry these trendy crocheted foot stools that I fell in love with! The children's department is wanting. TJ Maxx is the cheerleader, more bling, peppier, bigger jewelry selection and more updated furniture and housewares, and a cooler gourmet aisle! Both sell retail brand names, but Marshall's merchandising isn't as appealing as their sister's. The prices are similar, so I like to wait for items to move to the clearance rack for a deal. I'm obsessed with Lucky Brand tops and sweaters and I usually find one or two here!

I much prefer to shop locally in boutiques because the selection is so much more my aesthetic. However, I've been on a 6 month journey to find the perfect flower girl dresses and hadn't had much luck... until now. Before checking online at Dillard's, I had settled on getting custom dresses made from Etsy. While I found it rather annoying that we would have to go through the whole measurement jazz and wait over a month or so before the dresses came in, I couldn't find any other flower girl dress options that I liked that were fashionable, not so flower girl-y, in Fall hues (gold/champagne/ivory), and not super expensive. Then, yesterday I decided to do a random online search with Dillard's as a last resort and BINGO! There it was. The most gorgeous little girl's champagne/gold brocade fit and flare dress for--get this-- $55! They didn't have the sizes that I needed online, so I called the store and the woman was more than happy to look on the sales floor and she found them and placed them on hold. I ran up there about an hour later and the dresses were as cute in person as they were online. I really appreciate website photography that is true to real life! On top of everything, they gave me 10% off because some beads (that can easily be fixed by my mother) were loose on the top of the dresses. So, when my mom and I drove to Dillard's to pick the dresses up, we were shocked that, while on our way to the girl's section, we saw a lot of cute outfits. Okay, Dillard's! While we didn't buy any of them, I did snag a Kate Spade office desk set on sale for 50% off. What a steal! You know what, I used to hate Dillard's. But, now I know that if I'm in need of a special occasion item and I can't find it anywhere else, check here before giving up!

I immediately called customer service and was informed that there was nothing they would to rectify the fact that they had sent me damaged merchandise-that they wouldn't accept the dress as a return or compensate me in any way. They refuse to refund your method of payment, instead offering you a gift card so you will buy more merchandise from them. They even asked for my credit card number and a week or so later, my number was being used in three states. I used to love this store but no more. I called the New York store or tell them of the issues associated with online buying and by the number of the negative reviews since three years ago I can safely say nothing has changed. I had such a bizarre experience at Dillard's on Black Friday. I was there with my mom and she was…read moreprimarily the one shopping. She was searching for nice shirts. I don't know if the folks working were just bored or if it was company policy, but they followed us around like hawks for our entire visit. It was like they thought our tax brackets were too low to be shopping there. At one point, I lost track of my mom and tried to call her but apparently Dillard's is a dead zone for phone service, so I was clearly looking for her and one of the workers looked *extremely* concerned and approached me about it. We went into a dressing room to try on *three* shirts and in that time period, literally what, 3 minutes?, one of the ladies working knocked on the door to make sure we were okay. Seriously? We were going to buy all three shirts, but it turns out that none of them were on sale. A basic sweater that said "Merry" on it was going for ~$90, so I said nevermind to that one and the woman looked mildly annoyed despite still making a close to $100 sale from us. But why would a department store have no promotions whatsoever on Black Friday of all days? Really just so strange. I won't be back.
