They are a closeout retailer that sells all sorts of products, from furniture to food to clothing to shoes and more. The prices are very affordable and budget friendly. They always have random items come through; for example, seaweed snacks and unique hot sauces. Every season, they stock up on items pertaining to that season. For example, right now, there are shovels, gloves, jacket, and more, since it's winter time. If you sign up for their insider's club, you can get coupons. This particular Job Lot is located in a plaza. The parking lot is huge. The store was large also with plenty of space to walk around with a carriage. The store was organized and my favorite section is their food area. There were no lines when I went and the cashier was friendly. They offer complimentary paper bags for your items purchased, but it's recommended to bring your own bags. Overall, it's a great store!

They have lots of great fruits and vegetables, plants, and a huge selection of peanut butter. There are smaller brands of product you may find at Geissler's. As expected the prices are higher than at other grocery stores. If you live in close proximity to one of the stores you will receive their weekly flier in the mail. Geissler's probably won't fit your whole shopping cart, but you can find lots of great goods that you may not find at other retailers.

Red hot dogs are a big thing in Maine, with Jordan's red hot dogs the most popular finding Jordan's brand in Connecticut is really hard. So I'm thinking Kayem has Red as an available item, but not carried as a regular stock item, this would be something not impossible for the meat manager to order. What could possibly go wrong! Without the meat manager/order placer saying he would first check with his supplier, he just answered no, and didn't even suggest what other stores I could possibly purchase or an alternative suggestion. I would think it would be pretty easy to just ask your distributor, especially since you are a big seller of their product. And I think Kayem would gladly supply Big Y with their request. I am quite disappointed with the way this was handled. Stop & Shop is just up the street. I'm not sure there was anyone else working. But they have self check out so who needs extra humans? The store is fairly large, and pretty clean. It was a standard store though, with everything you need or want from a CVS. No comments on the pharmacy because I had no interactions with them.

Seven lines open with the check yourself gizmos. Slow machines occasionally serenaded by recordings of "place your yellow onions on the belt". Lots of people throwing up their hands in disgust and bailing out on these snail paced lines. Why did I stop here? I was hoping to hit their salad bar for some veggies for an omelette. Their clothing racks are organized by color and size, and everything is in excellent condition. I however am mostly drawn to their home items, like their plates and dishes. I once picked up eight dessert plates for 15 cents each. None of them had a single scratch or nick. They have a whole bookshelf of hard cover books for just $2.00 each. There's plenty of jewelry, I saw a really cool pair of large pearl earrings, but they were clip ons. They also have some beautiful artwork, that's already framed. This is a lovely thrift store, that I wouldn't skip stopping by!

The pricing is ridiculously low. I saw $1 books, $5 shirts (one of which I bought), $5 jeans and dress slacks, lots of dresses under $10, and a box of 25 cent greeting cards. They are affiliated with The Village for Families and Children in Glastonbury, Suffield, West Hartford and Simsbury, so all of the store's proceeds go to a great cause. We know we'll be back!

Has a few home-made cold sandwiches and wraps, plus the ubiquitous convenience store hot dogs and sausages. A nice touch is the hot Jamaian meat or chicken pies under a warming lamp. Sometimes the lottery players bog down the registers, but hey- its part of the character of this place. Always an interesting group of customers here, its a pleasant experience to be a part of. Was told 4 times that there was no prescription in the system before finally being told it was actually unavailable. The pharmacist on duty was helpful and gave me an alternative prescription but Jeanette could use a serious round of customer service training. I felt like I was interrupting her day. No greeting, no smile, just name and date of birth and it's not in the system. No more CVS for me. It only takes one bad experience especially with Walgreens right across the street!

I was looking for some infant clothes but couldn't find anything. They had a decent picture frames, cutlery, and miscellaneous section. I usually can't leave a Goodwill without buying something but this time around I didn't buy anything. My husband on the other hand did find a nice pair of jeans and a picture frame with some art on it. I also found a cute JCrew vest for $15 but didn't end up buying it. The checkout was easy and uneventful; the line was kind of scattered, people were forming a new line when there was an existing one already. Overall, this may not be my go to Goodwill but maybe on occasion I'll visit.
