Peltier Ford - Final quote

There is not a rating low enough to indicate how poorly we've been treated by this dealership. My…read morehusband bought a a used truck for our company here mid summer. Test drive was fine and luckily we bought a warranty. The day after we got it home it began having issues. We took it back and they decided the transmission needed to be replaced. It took a month and we had to call for updates or we heard nothing. We got a different story every time we called. Got it home last week and now the engine light is on. Took it back. Once again, something is bad and needs to be replaced. They offered us $9000 less than what we gave them for it to buy it despite the fact we've barely been able to put any miles or use on the truck since it has sat on their lot while we made the payment. In fact the only miles and use has been driving it back and forth to this dealership. Not a one of them seems to care that they sold a vehicle that had multiple issues - apparently they do not inspect the used vehicles they have sitting on their lot before it is sold to you. I have used other Peltier dealerships in Tyler and been well pleased - this particular lot is, I hope, an anomaly with their poor salesmanship and bad customer service.

I took my 2024 Ford F150 XLT in for service on Thursday Aug 20 2026…read more I had a new service advisor named ERIC, seemed nice enough. I told him explicity that I wanted a 20K check up, not a 15 K. So he puts it in as a 15K one and when I went to check out I was presented with a bill for $505 which I refused to pay. After some arguing the bill was $277 which is still too high for the service I had done. Be very careful about the service department at Peltier Ford. I would find another place to service your car. I will now go to Marshall Ford which is close to where I live. Be wary - the service pamphlet they handed me had a lot of recommendations for very costly service charges they recommend. I checked the ford owners manual and most of those service items are really not needed.

I found my truck on autotrader.com and called Pegues-Hurst. I was nervous purchasing a vehicle…read moreunseen as I have been miss-lead in the past. Steven Detro was extremely helpful. He sent pictures of every possible flaw in the used truck. He patiently answered every single question I asked. Once I arrived at the dealer I was pleased to find the truck was as described. It was used, so you expect some minor dings here and there. I had an opportunity to examine each one via pictures on my cell phone. They were as described on the vehicle. Overall the truck was in fantastic shape. I am a very happy customer. Also, getting to the dealership was an adventure - Steven worked with me the entire day as plans changed moment to moment. The financing was completely handled prior to arriving at the dealership. Purchase was painless. James Jordan was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Not a fan of this dealership. Pure deceptive business practices. Put 7k down on a used GT…read moremustang. Left the financed significantly less than the value of the car. Almost chastised for not getting Gap Insurance.. then the pitch for an extended warranty that has 1 yr of bumper to bumper and 3 yrs of drivetrain. I can always get an extended warranty...like they don't call or recieve mail every other day for one. Lol! The dastardly deed had to do with the bent wheel on the vehicle that wasn't recognized nor disclosed at the time of sale and when contacted, the only response I recieved was "we hope you enjoy your car" got the text saved. Normally that wouldn't bother me but the fact that they put new tires on this car and didnt disclose. Got the lust of work performed at trade in. They knew, it didnt balance out. $500 later with a new wheel, it drives like a dream.

In my recent research of franchise auto dealerships in Longview TX, I came across an interesting…read morefact. .......... Most local new car dealerships show up in a Gregg County judicial records search at least a few times, perhaps 2 to 5 consumer-related cases overall. Far and away, the most numerous cases have been racked up by the local Mitz***** dealership......... However, Lively Cadillac has exactly ZERO cases for, or against, consumers. That's right: A clean record, and that's somewhat rare for auto dealerships. This speaks very well for the dealership. They either treat their customers right from the get-go, or, if there is a problem, they make it right.......... After my recent experience with one of those old-school, high-pressure, plaid-suit jokes of an auto dealership, I will be sure and visit Lively the next time I'm in the market. As I recall, they also seem to keep a good supply of clean, late-model used vehicles of most every make, model, and style. (Smart, very smart.)

There have been two substantial rains since our purchase and it has an OBVIOUS leak. Now there is water in the floorboard and the passenger side carpet is SOAKED. I have reached out to the dealership to address this and we have received NO HELP or resolution. They have NO intention of taking care of the customer after a sale. You would be better off and wise to AVOID Orr altogether! I DO NOT and WILL NOT recommend these folks!

Not just reading specs he memorized for the job. I know it's his job but he went above and beyond any expectations I had. He and the manager John were able to get us a much lower percentage rate than my actual bank gave me on my pre-approved loan. Went there to get a Rogue, and went home in a Rogue with a lot of help from everyone in their friendly staff. From the gentleman that opened the door for my wife and I to Crocodile Cody, John, Juan, and Tiffany. The owner of that dealership really has something special going on there. If you're looking for a new or used car. I highly recommend you at least check them out first.

The service department on the other hand is by far the worst i have ever dealt with. in October of 2025 i bought a brand new off the truck 2026 Nissan Rogue, within the first week it was in service. failure to start, gas gauge not working, locking & not unlocking. fast-forward to August of 2026, same issues, multiple times in the service dept, & nothing but "hard resets" - how many times do we have to hard reset a NEW vehicle? needs maintenance, outside of an oil change, within 10 months no new car should really need maintenance. I wouldn't say not to buy a car, if you do go see Matthew, but i am saying find a different dealership for service, because they suck.
