Well we were very impressed with the store. The women who were working that day were all very helpful, and enjoyed playing with our puppy while showing my wife different harnesses and leashes. They did not get upset when she had happy squirts on the floor and were there with paper towels and disinfectant to clean it up. One of the areas I liked is the wall of treats for lack of a better term. They have a large selection of treats, some of them grain free in bins and you can mix and match them and try a wide variety of treats for your dog. You do not have to buy a pound bag and get home and find out that your puppy does not like them and you are stuck with them or end up trashing them. Also they were helpful giving us samples of some new foods to try, because as I said she can be finicky and again you are not buying an 8 pound bag of food to just let it go to waste. I truly recommend this store to all that live in North Raleigh and have pets, give them a look and I am fairly sure you will be satisfied.

The staff were great with my dog - and though the service is significantly overpriced, I feel they did a really good job. I did feel slightly concerned for the staff because they don't verify that dogs are vaxxed and they didn't cut her nails on a grooming table (which serves to protect the pet and staff). Knowing my dog is vaxxed and since there were no incidents with my pet (nor harm to staff), it left me feeling fairly ok and hopeful that any future visits would go ok too.

After the incident, I repeatedly requested information and the video footage the business claims supports its account. Although they have referenced this footage, it has not been provided. Instead, I was told they determined there was no negligence on their part and that they would not reimburse any veterinary expenses. I am deeply disappointed not only that my dog was injured while under their supervision, but also by how the situation has been handled since. Rather than transparency, I have received shifting explanations, refusals to provide requested materials, and a denial of responsibility without access to the evidence they reference. My dog's veterinarian has confirmed that surgery is medically necessary, which has been both emotionally and financially devastating. While I understand accidents can happen, I cannot accept the lack of accountability and transparency when a pet is seriously injured in a business's care. Based on my experience, I do NOT recommend this business.

We were looking for a specific kind of dog food, and while they carried the brand they did not carry the specific flavor we usually get for our pup. The store isn't huge but they have everything you'd need or find at a larger pet store. They even have a dog washing station if you don't want to make the mess at home. Parking is easy either in the front or just off to the left hand side of the building. The employees treated my pup like a little princess and she was loving all the extra attention and treats. This is one of the cat adoption places insisting on paperwork being completed before they'll let you meet the cats. While I always understood this was an insurance issue, apparently it's not -- at least here. At this stage, I'm only interested in seeing the animals, I'm not ready to adopt and therefore saw no need to answer many of the questions on the form that are irrelevant until I'm ready to do so. The manager and I didn't seem to agree and I left not seeing a single animal -- unless I wanted to do so through a glass door -- a pointless option when I wanted to meet them personally. It was a polite exchange so there was no issue on that account. She was passionate about her position and I respect that. For me, although the facility seems like a definite upgrade from the last location, and I had hoped to see how things were improved and expanded and meet some of the residents, I saw no reason why my "browsing" required my agreement for them to call my current vet or agree to a home visit in order for me to even see a cat when I'm not there to adopt. I completely understand the concerns with making sure these animals find and keep a good home and are not sent to live (or die) with some nut-job, but do not understand how depriving them of the ability to meet or socialize with a variety of people under staff supervision requires something just short of credit and background checks. Oh well. C'est la vie.
