The store is designed in a way to maximize profits, if you come and you're first in line but someone else has a membership and has reserved a spot in line they will go in before you. Bring your own bag though so you can carry the deals you find This place is awesome- you can get rejected and unsold brand new items from amazon, target etc at a discounted rate for usually pennies on the dollar. Falling Prices is fun. Pop into this place if you're bored and want to go on a little treasure hunt. You never know what you'll find! Some weeks have better items than others so it can be hit or miss. One of my gripes about this place: It would be nice if they stopped putting heavy piles of clothes on top of other merchandise. Not only does that make it difficult to look for items below the clothes but it can get so heavy that you physically can't push the clothes up to see what's under it. Pretty fun if you have the time to dig around for deals. I like going on Saturdays for the 25 cents/item deal. Today they had a deal where it's $2 per bag. It's $2 for as much as you can fill into a target bag they hand you. If it's not their target bag, it's still 25 cents/item. I don't think this $2/bag deal is every Saturday from what I overheard. I recommend bringing gloves to dig around in the bins because the items can get grimy from spilled liquids and can be hazardous and cut you from broken items. This was a fun place to find incredible deals but as of Nov. 2023 Amazon no longer is using Falling Prices. A saleswoman shared with me that Falling Prices now ONLY deals with Target. Piles of clothes out of packages and the unimpressive products Target sells. I enjoyed the Folsom Store for about three months -- and found some staggering deals -- but I've stopped going since this is all about Target and products sold are nearly as expensive as the Target Stores. Also, these stores seem to draw some, sorry, pretty low end people. One day I heard the manager confront a customer who denied she was opening boxes but the manager told her she saw her opening boxes with a pocket knife. Ok, this is the deal... This place is very messy, chaotic, and full of bargains. Now do you necessarily need this stuff? Maybe not, depending on what day you shop. This is their second location (original in Carmichael) and has much better parking. All items are $6 on Tues, $4 on Wed, $2 Thurs, $1 Fri and finally, all items left are $.25 on Saturday. They close on Sun/Mon to restock with all new merchandise. Most things I've seen are from Amazon and Walmart.com, although was told many items are also from other online retailers. I found several great deals, particularly food items. 6 boxes of organic Nature's Path Organic Cereal for $2 total. Specialty detergent for linens was about $25 less here. Lots of organic baby food, too. Do check expiration dates, some are out of date or are very close to expiring and are not returnable. Other bargains were official athletic apparel, diapers, lots of toys, brand name pet food, and many random items that have been returned and inspected by the retailer. You will also find lots of junk you'd never want so be prepared to do lots of sorting to find that hidden gem! Truly a hoarder's heaven so don't come here if you are one! read more

This is a rating for the Folsom Outlet Location. I used to love this store. But the staff here are so rude and unprofessional. They are constantly yelling and giving attitude to customers. Customers are literally walking out and leaving a cart full of items that they WERE going to purchase but decided not to because of the treatment from staff. On top of that, they close up 20 minutes early & don't let anyone else in to shop. This company is losing out on money because of its staff. This bin store... Honestly terrible. The items ARE PICKED Through and sold on a separate site, so it is practically impossible to get items over $100 ever. It's annoying. If you find a good item, you'll get excited, buy it, get home, and instead of the iPad you wanted it's a box of tinfoil. How dissapointing. There is no returns so you just wasted $6 on trash. This bin store hogs the Amazon returns from the folsom outlet, so the best store (outlets store) gets only clothes and target crafts crap. We need another bin store that isn't picked through. It's a cool concept with prices dropping each day. Friday and Saturdays are the best deals but the most crowded. If you have kids don't take them, people are nuts. Also best advice is to grab items and put them in your cart and sort later. Make sure you check expiration date. A lot of items are expired. The previous reviewer hit all the main points. I would add that I bring gloves. Merchandise in some cases is sticky and opened. Some shoppers are tacky (pun unintended) and literally dig through the bins and throw merchandise around, open boxes and don't close them back up, discarding the items back in the bin. That leads to things leaking and a mess. I saw the store crew cleaning up the customers' messes continuously. They cannot keep up, however. As the previous reviewer noted, look at the 'Best by' dates. I bought some premium dog food for a great price that has a BB date of June so I plan to ensure that my dogs eat it right away. Know your brands and their retail prices so you don't overpay. It's definitely possible if you shop on $6 or $4 days. Plan to spend some time digging for deals. read more

Messy and not safe, so wear gloves. People had kids with them which made me nervous, it's definitely not a place for kids. They don't control what their customers do at all which results in a lot of broken merchandise in the bins. I have however found some really great deals. It's all a matter of when you go. The more expensive the day, the better the merchandise. I do think they should have someone periodically clean up the obvious trash and broken unsellable goods through the day. Every time I come here half of the store is closed down, so all of the customers are crammed into one section of the store making it impossible to social distance. The quality of products has gone down hill substantially of the last few months. Most bins are filled with trash and broken glass. I love this store and everything they have to offer. My only complaint is the staff members, one in particular. An older Filipino lady was speaking Tagalog the entire time she was the re stocking the bins. She was telling another lady who was NOT WORKING BUT SHOPPING about the items she was about to throw into the already sorted bins. They have some great deals if you want to bump and grind next to a bunch of people trying to get the same item as you. The cart situation you can't fetch your own cart from the parking lot you have to wait inside for a cart in order to shop. If you take a cart from the parking lot employees will take it from you !??? If I make the effort to get my own cart I should be able to use it accordingly. Just because other customers who are lazy don't want to go and fetch their own doesn't mean I have to be the same. Also on Tuesday they have a ticket system to get into the store. Honestly I am over it! It's way to much time, effort and hassle to save a few bucks to spend it navigating their quirky operation and then a bunch of customers and employees who don't understand common courtesy. New favorite store! I come here all the time and find the best deals. The manager is very nice and all of the other staff is friendly as well. I always get greeted when I come in and when I leave, and I really appreciate how much the staff goes out of their way to be kind and helpful. A few suggestions I'd give to people so they get the most out of their shopping experience here: 1. It's super crowded on Tuesdays and it's hard to maneuver your cart around, so I suggest bringing a second person with you so you have one person to stay with the cart and one to grab stuff and put it in the cart. 2. Make sure to check expiration date on items (especially baby food). 3. Throw stuff in your cart and sort it later before checking out. Items go fast, so if you see something you want, grab it and figure out details later. read more

This place is nuts. Just bins and bins of junky stuff and expired food. And if you don't look closely enough, you'd think it was just trash. I went there a few times, the first few times on Wednesday and another on Thursday. Both days, I found some great stuff. Lots of returned goods, overstock, and damage goods. The prices starts at $6 at the beginning of the week and ends at 25 cents on Saturday. With that in mind, I went on Friday and it was just straight garbage! Just a bunch of opened goods, empty containers and damaged goods. Not only was it just trash, they also blocked off more than half of the store. My wife joked and said maybe it was because those stuff were worth more than the Friday price, which was $1. Having been there a few times now, I believe that's how they do it. The price of one item doesn't go down each day and eventually becomes 25 cents. I believe they remove the good items each day to fit the price, which doesn't seem to be their pricing motto. However I would still go there. Thursday is the best day at $2 and has some good stuff. It's also very busy on that day. I also see lots of people buying stuff to sell on eBay and or amazon so you have some competition digging those bins! read more

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I would absolutely recommend stopping by this place. The idea behind falling prices is super interesting and such a unique business model. As many of the reviews stated it can get quite busy in there but it's so worth it at the end of the day for the amazing deals you can find. Yes many of these food items are expired and some electronics may not work but that's something you can easily avoid by checking the product before you purchase. Just check the expiration dates, I tend to steer away from unpackaged electronics but many times you can find package items that haven't even opened yet! read more
