This week alone, I have rearranged my schedule and waited at home on three separate days with little to no proactive communication. Every update has required me to reach out first, and when I do, I often feel like I'm inconveniencing the staff simply by asking for information. Considering the significant investment I've made and the service expectations outlined during the sales process and in the agreement, I expected a much higher level of professionalism. Clear communication, confirmed appointment times, and follow through should be standard, not something the customer has to chase down. I do want to recognize Brandon because he has been great when it comes to the actual service. He has been professional, knowledgeable, and thorough while at my home. My frustration is not with him. It's with the overall communication and scheduling process. I simply wish the communication from the office was as proactive and reliable as the service Brandon provides. The work itself may ultimately resolve the issue, but the overall customer experience has been frustrating. Clients should not have to repeatedly follow up just to find out if a technician is coming. I hope Critter Control improves its communication and customer service because the current experience has fallen well below my expectations.

After paying and having the work begin, we were informed that there were no animals, no droppings, and no need for any sanitization. The material in the vents was coming from an exhaust fan that had caught fire -- something that was never identified or mentioned during the initial inspection, and only discovered when the crew arrived to do the work. To summarize: they missed an obvious burned exhaust fan during inspection, misdiagnosed it as animal activity, sold an unnecessary $1,700 biohazard sanitization package, and never caught their error until work had already been contracted. When I called the office to address this, I spoke with Jessica, who was not helpful. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, I was told the company feels they "went above and beyond." Charging $1,700 for unnecessary services based on a missed diagnosis is not going above and beyond. I chose this company specifically because of the positive reviews and because I needed someone trustworthy to care for a vulnerable family member. That trust was not honored. I would not recommend Critter Control Houston to anyone, and I urge others -- especially those hiring on behalf of elderly relatives -- to get a second opinion before agreeing to any services.

Jeff arrived today and investigated my entire house. I was fully expecting him to tell me there were rats and that he would have to do all this work in my home. Instead, he told me that he didn't find any evidence of rodents. I was a bit distracted with a conference call at work, but he told me he was in no rush as I was the last appointment of the day. As I was finishing up my call, he inspected the exterior of my home to see if there were any opportunities for rodents to get inside. He was so thorough that he even used his ladder to take a closer look at the roof. He let me know that my house was pretty well sealed (from previous owners), but there were a some minor spots that may require sealing. He was very honest and told me that it may be cheaper to have a roofer do the work. We then went up to the attic, and Jeff spent a good amount of time educating me on signs of rodent activity. He even went the extra mile to take a look at the HVAC ducting and water heater to find the source of the noise I've been hearing. While we ultimately couldn't get to the root of the problem, it was very reassuring to learn that it wasn't due to rodents. I absolutely commend Jeff for the thoroughness in his inspection, and honesty in his assessment. He has earned my trust, and subsequently my future business. We found Jerry through Yelp. We are VERY impressed! If I can save you some time, I did get other…read morebids. The other bids were more expensive, and since Jerry came out for an estimate the same day I called, I knew what to look for in other bids. The other bids missed so many trouble spots Jerry saw! AND, the other bids did not include repairing damage. Jerry repaired BIG holes squirrels made in wood, including in doors of a custom made cabinet. My heart sank when I saw the damage. When Jerry said he could repair it, I wasn't sure how, but I told him to give it a try. Jerry made the cabinet look super cool! He used metal across the top so the little critters can't try again. He matched the metal to the wood! I took my husband and two sons out to see the repair, and they swore up and down there was no way it was metal. They said the cabinet looked brand new and they couldn't tell any difference from before the squirrels chewed it up. So, the other bids didn't see all the spots Jerry found, and no one else offered repairs, but their bids were higher. Jerry was extremely professional the whole time, stuck to his estimate and followed through with everything he said he would do. No more critters in our attic, their old entry spots are sealed off and we can't even see the damage. We've already recommended Jerry to neighbors.

Did multiple visits to set traps and check them, after a few weeks of no signs of rodent they came and cleaned out, disinfected, and replaced everything.
