My water heater went out. The company that "diagnosed" the problem charged me $99 and said that…read morethis did not include the cost to replace it. The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! My entire cooling and heating system was left in an inoperable state…read more I called for a diagnostic of the air conditioner today because cool air isn't coming from the vents. I was told the diagnostic would cost $149. I asked to be informed of any repairs that had to be done. Technician checked the system and recommended replacing unit. We discussed replacement unit and cost. I was ready to pay deposit. In the next 10 minutes I was told that the model I selected is old and not available. New model costs $1000 more. I asked for a proposal to decide later. Technician told me that the visit costs $396. He said that he fixed air conditioner that was not working. He never told me that he is fixing anything. Through our the visit it looked like he was figuring out the problem. I talked to the owner and we agreed that any repairs that were done will be undone so that I do not have to pay for repairs. Then the technician removed all the wires from the board making both heat and fan unusable. He did not just undo the "repairs", but made entire system unusable including fan and heat which were working before his visit. See the photos to show what was done!

Any possibility A. and K. have unconscious biases towards people like me? They accused us of "manipulating" what? Because I was able to and had to carry my 10 lb dog for a short moment because of her barkin? No one was in the house to use the water, since the house is up for sale. The realtor called Jim, and he denied doing the work, saying "That's not my work." We had ample proof to show that it was his work. So I called him personally, and he said he'd be over to fix the pipe.... yesterday, and to call and remind him. The realtor told him to please fix it, for the house was closing today........ "No show" A person needs to stand by his work. Now we aren't sure what we will do.

Here's how this played out after calling Jim on 12/16: 1. Jim was scheduled for 12/18 2. He rescheduled twice and finally came on 12/21 3. He "fixed" the problem and we paid him 4. The leak returned so we contacted him on 1/3 and he said he'd "come in the next couple days" 5. On 1/10 he said he'd come on 1/11 before noon 6. When he didn't show on 1/11 we contacted a different plumber The worst part? A different plumber confirmed the leak wasn't even coming from the water heater. So, in conclusion, Jim is unreliable and does shoddy work. Do yourself a favor and get a different plumber.

The place we were previously using was dragging its feet getting us a quote and Wise was recommended as an alternative by our property manager. Tom came out same day, within hours of us calling and was able to diagnose the issue and get a quote out to us with several repair options. The repair itself was done the following day right on time.
