WOW!! This food was delicious. I am here with family and I will certainly return. The cheese enchiladas were mounds of cheesy goodness. I've been a couple of times and service is always great. Waiters, waitresses and managers are always very attentive and kind. The food is not beyond what you can get at any Mexican restaurant but the location and view are everything around this area. We were SO surprised when we came in today, the first time in probably a year and the quality was amazing! Everything was delicious! We had the manager, Edis, as our server. We let him know that we were on a time crunch for an appointment coming up and he had our lunch out in less than 10 minutes, checked on us very frequently and got us out of there with time to spare for our appointment! I ordered the Fiesta Fajitas for 2 ($40) that comes with shrimp, beef fajita & chicken. The chicken fajita had 5 small pieces. I made sure to ask the waiter if he put the order in fajitas for 2 and he said yes. Very disappointed in the amount of meat for the cost. Why 4 stars? Because everything was enjoyable but the service was incredibly slow. --- --- --- The chips and both kinds of salsa were great - especially whatever sorcery the green salsa was. And then we added white queso, which always hits the spot. The beef fajitas were very enjoyable. I would have preferred peppers in addition the grilled onions, but everything tasted great anyway. The fajita meat itself looked a bit different, but tasted exactly like it should. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the awesome views of Lake Conroe. So the lack of a 5th star really just comes down to the shockingly slow service. I suppose we will just have to chalk this up to the labor shortage, which is more the fault of the federal government than Fajita Jacks. However, the length of time that elapsed between visits from our server was pretty ridiculous. And while there were a fair amount of people in here, we arrived at 5:30p on a Saturday, which means we were not there at a peak time. We will likely try every Tex-Mex spot in the area before we collectively settle on a favorite, but the thing Fajita Jacks has going for it is the view and the ambiance. 2nd Excellent take-out experience with Fajita Jacks during our family visit to Montgomery/Conroe. The first meal was large order steak and chicken fajitas shared with family. Meats were grilled just right, so tender and tasty. All the fixings were fresh. The second take-out meal - shrimp enchiladas enjoyed by one person, another had delicious Baja shrimp tacos Just Right, and the other had chicken quesadilla- huge and so tasty. I'll start with service as this was the highlight and to be complimented. It, like most things, could always be better but our server was very nice, knew the menu, and worked as efficiently as he could. It was my 50th B day and I wanted to eat something special. I was torn between the Diablo burrito and the ultimate fajitas. They are of course known for their fajitas and I have had them before. I like spice and was concerned about the burrito spice level. The server told me it was very hot and that they can put the sauce on the side. I was also wondering how a burrito could be $25. I expected this thing to be a beast and that I would surely have left overs. I will say. The flavor of the burrito meat and the sauce was excellent. For me. It was also not that hot. The plate of food. Extremely disappointing. My son eats those El Monte frozen burritos at home and this burrito wasn't much bigger. I small cup of beans and some rice. This was literally a diet plate. For. $25. For the price. I would never order this again. Last. Again I was excited as I thought this was a crazy lot of prep signature meal here. Everyone. And I mean everyone at my table got their food first. I timed it. It took me 17 minutes to get my food. Most people at my table were done eating. Minimal apology from staff. I would have bear bones expected a discount or my meal even comped altogether. It was a Monday night and it was not that busy in there to justify the delay. So. As much as I like the view.
