We came with a group of 7 and the hotel wasn't very busy, probably due to the weather and flooding in Naples . I know that the previous reviews were negative about renovations but why complain about doing renovations? It's a good thing! Maybe dust everywhere but at least they warned you? Anyway, rooms were clean and spacious ( we upgraded to the 2 beds and a pull out thanks to Rachaune) There was a working fridge t.v. and an iPhone ipod dock station. A tv in each room and the bathroom was nice and big. The breakfast is amazing. We had cheese omelette, scrambled eggs, salsa and cheese etc etc. There is a weight room with free weights up to 50lbs, 2 treadmills and an elliptical. They also have free parking and board games you can borrow for rainy days. Definitely looked good and the staff were super friendly especially Rachaune! If we ever come back to Florida we will definitely be back here.

This hotel was very disappointing. We travel all the time for baseball with our two baseball teams and their families. This hotel looks great from the outside, beautiful landscaping and building looks new. The pool and outdoor area is really tiny. Not a place to bring more than a small family and if you're alone, hopefully there are not more than another family or two because not much space to spread out. The breakfast that is included in your stay was disappointing. There were paper bags to grab packaged food. There were not many fresh food choices besides a banana if you got there early before they were gone. Your choices were small cereals, a muffin, package of two small sausage sandwiches or a Nutri Grain bar. There was coffee and you could use a small plastic cup to get apple/orange juice from machine. The other hotels have had fresh food sealed and wrapped and made to go bags. Social distancing was labeled and signs every it not enforced. There seemed to be no hotel staff most of the time. The morning, afternoon or evening there was never anyone around. I was on the second floor and there was a party in the hall way right outside the elevator past down towards my room. I have two children so children being kids is fine with me, but there were over 10 children running and screaming up and down the hall for over an hour to where even my two children were annoyed. You could hear ever sound made in the hallway, and anytime another hotel room door opened and closed, they slam shut super loud and make a tons of noise. Plan on not sleeping well because you will also hear the elevator arrival ding anytime it's pressed and arrives. Our last night we arrived back to the hotel late by my son was in the ER and another party outside the room (that doesn't bother me, I understand it's vacationing for some) but when I asked for a late check out so that my son could sleep in since he wasn't feeling well and we had got in super late from the hospital, the front desk said no. After explaining the situation, she still said no and couldn't extend it past 11am. It's not like we were asking because I was at the pool. The morning we were leaving and I was having the boys sleep until I could get everything ready, housekeeping starting knocking continuously until I answered the door, non stop at 8:30am! It was obnoxious. After I answered and told her we were sleeping, she stood outside the door yelling to the other lady at the other end of the hallway and then was on her phone for five minutes. Total disregard for my family who I said was sleeping. The ceiling paint in the bathroom was falling off and the shampoo/conditioner and hand soap were two small samples and cheap quality. They need to spend time training staff on hospitality etiquette because there is none. We come to town for tournaments here all the time and have stayed at some great hotels, but will not be coming back to this one. The pool area, food choices, staff and room aesthetics are just not acceptable when there are so many other hotel choices in the same parking lot.

    Blue Stain

At a time when COVID Delta variant is rampant you would hope cleanliness would be a top priority of a property. We found a pair of socks in the room and the duvet cover had a blue stain leading us to believe the room was NEVER cleaned, there were no other rooms available in any other nearby hotels as it is Labor Day Weekend and a big soccer tournament that we are here for. We had a separate reservation for an extra night that we cancelled here at the same property that we refuse to stay at as the staff is rude to top it off at the front desk on Sunday morning. Sassy young lady.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. The AM breakfast was wonderful, many items to choose from.

Well, it sure is a different world: out in the land of the cracker and the hog hunter, down one crushed coral lane after the next. Is this what the earth looked like during the Paleozoic era? When dinosaurs roamed these swamps? Are we going to see an alligator on this drive? Is that sand all under the wheels? Was this whole area under water at some point? Is the water going to flood back in sometime next week? Who lives out here? WHAT WAS THAT SOUND?! After the ride out there - way way out there - you enter, well, a cool world. Cool atmosphere, surprisingly good food, friendly vibe. When is the next time you're going to touch a rhino? Snuggle with a giraffe? Watch a chimp stamp and scream - and wonder if he's planning to pull my arm out of its socket? Contemplate the gorgeously patterned hind end of a zebra who - Miles Davis-like - refuses to face his audience. In the immortal word of Nigel Tufnel: None. Get there if you can!

NGALA is family-run and mom, dad, son, and daughter are all involved. They take in animals who were in the not-so-fortunate circumstances and bring them to this wildlife reserve. The enclosures the animals are kept in are not tiny like others I've seen - they have a large area behind the viewing area that they are able to roam free. NGALA is a different experience for visitors in that you can get super close to the animals versus just looking at them from afar. I touched a white rhino and alligator and fed a camel and a giraffe! So awesome. There's also other entertainment like African drum playing, contortionist, fire eating/playing, man on stilts, and a cool singer guy during dinner. Dinner is served under an elegant tent outdoors and the food is actually quite delicious - cheers to the chef. The salad was pretty basic, but the chicken and fish entree and both the chocolate and apple crumb desserts were amazing. I had a great experience here - one I'll definitely remember. These guys know exactly what they're doing here and I did not once feel sorry for any animals, which I can't say about some other places I'd been to in Naples.

My checklist was straightforward: safety, location, excellent reputation, well-maintained environment, quality amenities and social activities, two bedrooms, two baths, perfect bone structure, and an interior with a blank slate. White walls, white tile, no furniture, and a kitchen circa 1992 ( as an artist, I already envisioned the potential to make it's interior unique and add my personal touch)! I looked at one place first. No! Next. The Vineyards Country Club. I immediately knew after my first walk that this was my "diamond in the rough." The condo faces a gorgeous golf course (1 of 2 classes). Standing in my large lanai and family room, I overlook this course with irregular topography. Florida is flat. Not from my view! This course has an undulating surface that is stunning! The system is expertly groomed and maintained on a daily schedule. The timing of these renovations left one speechless. The awards from the renovation say it all. I couldn't agree more. I admire the owner(s), board members, and residents that planned and implemented this award-winning makeover I recommend The Vineyards Country Club for those that enjoy living in a beautiful, well-maintained environment, quality amenities, and a community of neighbors that want to experience meaningful moments and new memories with other residents.

I thought they would be sold out because of the soccer tournament but they had a room and I was so happy. The woman at the front desk was so nice and very accommodating and the room was definitely more clean and didn't smell nearly as bad as the other room over at the Fairfield. The rooms here are definitely older and in need of an overhaul but it was doable. The air conditioning was very cold and the rooms were comfy enough. We did have an issue and it was actually kinda weird. So we were away at the soccer tournament but we had our DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. When we returned from the tournament, housekeeping was in our room. I walked in and she was making beds. I had also specifically asked the front desk to be sure that housekeeping did not enter the room and she put that on our account. So when I entered and explained to the woman that we didn't need housekeeping, she didn't leave. She kept making the bed. She also had the cart in the room. So I went to the front desk because maybe there was a language barrier. The woman at the desk was apologetic as she went to tell the housekeeping staff that we didn't want the room cleaned. She returned soon after and told us we could go back to our room. My daughter only had a short time to get in a quick nap and get into her next uniform for the next game so we really just wanted to get in and cool off and relax for that short time. Anyways, aside from that, the stay was fine. I didn't see any bugs and overall, the staff was friendly and main areas were clean. Rooms were clean but dated.
