This place is an old and outdated Ramada, complete with cockroaches. It looks ok from the outside, but this place is a shit hole. The room has been somewhat updated... but there's a broken security latch on the door and the bathroom is nasty, see the photos. The AC unit was loud and made loud banging noise throughout the night. If this stay improves, I'll update this review... if not, well it's still (at best) a 2 star property. Several other, much nicer, hotels in Naples... look and stay elsewhere. Read over the 1 and 2 star reviews. Look over all of the pictures, there's a pattern of how outdated and nasty this place is. UPDATE: Now 1 star, as the hights go out... the cockroaches come out. I was really SO GENEROUS TO give 1 star. Short story short, this place has so many opportunities to be an Awesome Place, if they CARE. THE main issue is THEY DON'T CARE. Rooms are large, but most if them are in a very bad conditions. Floors, dirty sinks, broken cabinets, even the phone is not working to order your car from valet!!!. But regarding your safety, I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE for 2 serious issues. Most rooms have no vent in the shower, and the hot water vapor could be an issue for your kids, if you don't leave the door of the restroom open. Second, the molds around the AC vent is giving everyone bad smell, and a bad quality air, while we tried to keep our lungs protected from the covid virus as much as we can. For the management, that was the WORST, because front desk are nice, but not helpful as they have to ask the manager, or sometimes the owner to resolve simple everyday issues because of the maintenance, or housekeeping. The only good thing was the beach. But everything else, you have to suffer. Ecethey close the gate from the beach by 8pm, and you have to take long walks to the entrance, while you are wet, and have sand all over your body!!!. Also, you have to sign a card when you get towels, max is 4 per room, and if you don't return, they charge you!!!! I felt that I was in a CHALLENGING place, trying to enjoy my stay, and let alot of staff go away, but really I suffered, and I even called the Ramada corporation, and filed a complaint after 3 times hanging up on me!!! I wish this place become safer, healthier, and better. I forget the low water pressure, when you have to be SO PATIENT TILL YOU FINISH YOUR SHOWER. I reserved a room several months ago, Hurricane IAN hit they canceled our reservation. The days after the cancelation I noticed they were still offering the room we booked, at the times we chose, at significantly higher rates! I called the hotel I was told there was no damage to hotel, it was confirmed it was all about getting more money for the room and the employee wasn't happy with this either. It sounded like they had numerous calls about this issue. WHY RESERVE A ROOM IF THEY CAN CANCEL IT AT ANYTIME THEY BELIEVE THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY CANCELING and REEBOOKING TO ANOTHER GUEST. Five-star in class (hi-value/lo-cost, PREMIUM (centralized) Naples location, on-location diversions (e.g., competitive pm restaurant/club, manicured exotic/indigenous flora, serviced pool deck)). We're completing our fourth seven-night stay in as many years and we'll look forward to as many more. Naturally, there are far more luxurious hotels around (there are TWO Ritz-Carlton's in Naples) but one likely doesn't peruse the Yelp rants/raves AND find themselves dropping hemming and hawing between this good value and that world-class luxe and opulence. There is no 24/7 room service here - nor will you come across a valet runner, a doorman or a bellman. You'll need to schlep your own baggage yourself (yes - there are bellcarts). The hotel is owned by an Argentine interest, thus the sporadic presence of the Argentine twist on the Spanish language. You'll also bump into plenty of French, German and Scandinavian folks. Upgrade yourself to courtyard rooms. We prefer 140 and 142 (adjoining and rapid ingress / egress to/from the pool. All rooms have microwaves, fridges and coffee makers. Inclusive breakfast alternates protein forms during weekdays (e.g., scrambled eggs MWF, egg rounds TTh) and on weekends you'll find foreigners quizzically eyeing the biscuits and gravy (I'm drafting this from the breakfast room right now - all the foreign guests have a dollop of "gravy" on the edge of their plate - in some cases absent of any biscuit - and invariably they're refraining from a second mouthful of the concoction. There is no concierge service (see paragraph 4) so you're better off googling your days rather than relying on the brochures. Having lived here 20 +/- years way-back-when, I can offer the following: Lowdermilk Beach is your closest full-service beach, but treat yourself to Wiggins Pass. Park in lot 3 (Google everything I'm sharing with you) 32nd Ave South IS a public beach access point - treat yourself (no showers - but isolated) Tons of great restaurants in town - but a lot of ripoffs as well. This hotel is an old-fashioned style motel, with the difference that some rooms face a beautiful courtyard with a very nice pool, which is open early and closes late. The other rooms face parking lots. The rooms are tiled instead of carpeted. Our room was a bit shabby in places (loose bathroom doorknob, leaky faucet, stained ceiling, but the beds were very comfortable, the TV worked fine, and the shower was good. Breakfast buffets are served from 6:30 am - 10 am, and the offerings change slightly each day, which is nice. The beach is a bit tricky to get to. We decided to walk. You must cross several lanes of traffic with no light, then it is about a 15-minute walk. I'm glad we did walk because the parking lot was jammed. It was interesting looking at the houses we passed by on our walk. There is no restaurant in the restaurant area right now. It will be so nice when there is. I really could have used a nice glass of wine poolside in the evening. While the work staff is very nice, there is a big problem when it comes to the noise while cleaning rooms. It starts around 8:30 am and goes on until about 4 pm. Large, noisy wheeled towel and sheet carts are pushed by your room on the concrete sidewalk CONSTANTLY, along with the many housekeeping supply carts. If you are a late sleeper, like to take an afternoon nap, or, in my case, have a 7-month-old baby who takes two naps a day, this is a HUGE problem. We had four devices playing white noise at full volume to try to cover the racket. Also, the workers tend to converse loudly with each other while they work. Our room was near the laundry area, but it seems that the constant racket would be everywhere. I walked the baby around the complex in his stroller several times, and we were always running into carts. There must be a better way! Anyway, I would suggest asking for a courtyard room. It may be more expensive, but, then, you won't have the noise of the cars pulling in and out of parking spaces outside your door (or car alarms, which happened twice during nap time). Now, if you are the type who goes off sightseeing early for the day, this shouldn't be a problem for you at all. This motel is convenient to shopping areas. We had no trouble finding our way around. Check-out is late morning, which is also nice. read more

First off, our first impression of this Ramada was good. It had a nice entrance, building and landscaping looked up-kept. Walked into the lobby, waited about 5 minutes to be checked in due to a line. Staff was friendly and showed us what building our room was located. Upon entering our single King bed room, we were pleased with the updated room, BUT it was incredibly hot and humid, took a while for our a/c to kick in which worried us. It finally did a couple of hours later. The bathroom was very tiny, a little run down as well; stains on the walls and bad plumbing. My husband and I leave for the evening, come back later to find a nice size ROACH in our bathroom. Disgusted. The free breakfast was also terrible. Yes, it is free..but doesn't mean the quality of the food has to be bad. I'd rather have eaten at a restaurant. The day of check out house keeping knocks on the door, doesn't give me a chance to say anything and walks in on me changing my clothes. I did shout to her to give me a second, but I was walked in on anyway. Very violated. Ramada hotels are usually are go to hotels but I WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS LOCATION. It's dirty and not well kept inside the rooms. I am truly hoping there are no roaches where our breakfast is prepared. Very disappointed. Barely worth 2 stars. read more

I have never written a review before. Our experience at Collins Hotel has been frustrating enough to motivate me. We made our reservations through a third party and will never do that again. Ramada Wyndham sold the property to Collins Hotel. They couldn't find my reservation or verify we paid in full so we had to scramble to find a place to stay on the first night. We stayed 2 of the four nights but have yet to be issued the credit. The hotel rooms were 3 stars maybe. The customer service was the worst. I just literally spent an hour and a half on hold with the hotel trying to get this resolved. All I get is a run around. I would recommend this hotel as a last resort and whatever you do, don't book through a third party. read more

Love this Hotel, close to the beach, has free breakfast. During Covid there is no breakfast buffet but they have a breakfast pre-made bag you can grab and go. The beds are extremely hard, I couldn't sleep so great but that happens some people like harder beds' my husband likes. The hotel is always clean and cozy (have stayed here numerous times. Has a good size pool too, no jacuzzi. Oh no usb chargers... I brought only the cable for my phone... I never thought I would ever think that was a problem until I expected the hotel to already have them! Haha Has fridge and microwave, service is very nice and accommodating. Hotel has gone downhill once it was renamed Collins Hotel. The walls were paper thin and we could hear and could articulate every word our next door neighbor said. The security box/safe didn't work. The AC was super loud and sounded like banging noises. It only worked half the time. The toilet barely flushed. There were black marks all over the ceiling. The pool was big but was super dirty. Would not recommend to anyone and I wanted to leave this place the day I got there. read more

Beautiful fresh rooms, nice bedding and a clean property with charming surroundings. This hotel is in the process of changing from Ramada to Collins so it is not possible to book online on third party websites. However the staff is accommodating and professional and willing to give us the best rate over the phone. The staff is flexible and willing to help. This beautiful property is 10 min drive from 5th Avenue and has an oversized pool in the adorable courtyard. This hotel is a gem and a must stay when you are in Naples. Best bang for your buck in Naples! My boyfriend and I were in Naples this past weekend for a wedding and were looking for a hotel with more reasonable rates than where the wedding party was staying. It was between the Ramada Inn and the Hampton Inn. Reviews on Google were similar between the two but the photos of the Ramada were much more impressive. My gut told me to go with the Ramada and I certainly chose right! My initial reaction to the hotel was that it had BEAUTIFUL gardens, very tropical and colorful. The staff at the front desk was very kind and helpful, and sincere about it, not fake like some. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool cool and clean. The complimentary breakfast was awesome, eggs, biscuits, waffles, pastries and we were a little late and there was still plenty of hot food. And they didn't annoy us when it came time to checking out. The resorts are short drives away and you can spend all day at the higher end hotel pools and come back to your cozy Ramada Inn! I wouldn't choose any other place! Great experience! read more

Amazing customer service. By far, the most attentive staff. Even the guests were cordial. Our room was great just for an overnight stay. The appearance was pleasant with beautiful gardens. This is an okay place to stay if you just need a bed to sleep in and don't want to spend too much. Don't expect much more than that, however. The room itself was pretty big, but the bathroom was TINY. The buildings are really showing their age, with doors that don't quite fit their frames and paint peeling off the walls. The toilet in my bathroom looked like it was coming loose because it wobbled. The bathtub knobs are starting to rust and it was difficult to turn the water on and off. The A/C unit was loud, but at least it worked. The bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast is included, and there's plentiful seating including outside by the pool. read more

When I go to checkout after a week stay and ask why they need another credit card I'm told I need to pay $300 for the 7 towels I used which got a little hair dye on them. They didn't say anything to me about any issue with the towels they didn't leave the used towels in my room with a note that it was now my towel id have to pay for. No they just kept racking up the charges on each towel and tried slipping that $300 charge by me at check out. Along with a smoking in the room fee (I don't even smoke) but at least they took that charge off when I asked.. very grimey place and horrible business.. avoid like the plague read more

You know, considering it's a Ramada Inn, I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely this hotel was! Housekeeping was professional, landscaping is beautiful, the front desk was so helpful and friendly and the pool was great! There is a road right across the street that will take you directly to the beach (about a 20 minute walk) I would definitely recommend this hotel to people looking for a clean, safe cheap hotel option in Naples. A few things, don't drink the water and make sure your door closes and locks securely. Since your door opens to the outside this is a must. I had a few co-workers whose doors had some issues. read more

Location good and fairly priced. Stayed for two nights. Grounds are well kept and they have a pool. Room was clean and housekeeping was thorough. Front desk was helpful on recommending things to see in the area. It is on the Tamiami Trail and pretty close to everything. However, it is not really within walking distance of the beach. (Closest is 20+ min if walking.) The free breakfast was OK. Basic things offered. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, fruit, coffee, juice, danishes, etc. A decent place to stay. Free wi-fi. Very nice motel/hotel, and at $66 a night (on sale at Expedia) it was a bargain. The room was clean (thank god) and cool (summer in FL was brutal). Its mid-location to downtown Naples and Uptown outlets was perfect. I personally loved the hairdryer in the room (it was a tourmaline dryer that was nicer than my own at home). The pool was also refreshing but busy. It could have been cleaner and the kids took to scratching into the scuz around the edges. My major problem was that it lists "on-site laundry facilities" and has none. I packed for 6 days but had planned on washing a few times during my 2 week vacation, one time at this hotel. That could not happen and we had to visit a laundromat up the road which cut into out time. I would have preferred to do a load late at night while hanging in the room. The breakfast was too busy for us and we skipped it. The restaurant attached to the hotel was clean and friendly, and we had drinks at the bar several times. I would have eaten there if it came down to not wanting to leave the hotel, but there are so many great places to eat all over the area that this did not happen. read more

Prettiest landscaped property we've seen in Naples and they profess to have the "GREATEST POOL in NAPLES" - it was! They give a free hot breakfast that's super. Their front desk staff was unbelieveably friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and are newly renovated and very attractive. Great new flat screen TVs too. read more

Booked through hotwire. I was a bit shocked that it was a 3 star until I stayed in it. The staff was so kind & cheerful. Like a home type environment. The room was clean. I love how the soap is from Bath & Body Works. A nice refrigerator & microwave was extremely useful to me. I was impressed with the flat screen tv. Breakfast in the morning is amazing. I am still trying to figure out what they're doing at La Playa or the other big resorts here for sometimes five times the price of an *extremely* reasonable 80 dollars a night at this 50-year old hotel. I got here and planned to stay for ten days and kept extending it until I was here for a month. There are a couple of drawbacks - the outdoor atrium design can be noisy at times if you're facing poolside. The hotel sections are named things like "Sunset Cay" and Paradise Cay which I thought was corny but cute; a throwback to the early Tamiami Trail. The music playing in the common areas is from times-gone-by; lots of muzak and basically "Older Generation" stuff. The restaurant is the same, a favorite of the snowbirds with a small menu of heavy "vacation" food; Filet Mignon and Oysters Rockefeller. If you want Asian Fusion or something it's downtown or up near the Coastland Mall. It's basically 1976 on the Tamiami Trail updated, maintained and perfectly preserved. If you're into that kind of thing it can be really fun and kind of comforting. And frankly even the really upscale hotels aren't perfect; why not be slightly dissatisfied with an 80 dollar experience as opposed to a 350 dollar one? People who stay here come from all over the world. Usually Americans who stay on the Gulf want some amazing hotel; the Europeans and Canadians and retirees who come here are here to see Naples, get to the beach and do some shopping -- which are both, as advertised, within walking distance. My neighbors here were American, Swedish, Scottish, German, Austrian and French. There is a man the manager was telling me about who comes here from Sweden every year and stays for three months. The beds are really comfy; not outrageous but certainly no worse than what you sleep on at home. The pool is immaculate; extra towels are available poolside so you don't need to take your room towels with you. The outdoor areas are lovely and well tended and considering the traffic this place gets it is pretty much spotless. Free hot breakfast is a buffet offering eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast and bagels, and a waffle maker; water, milk, tea and coffee. It's the same thing every day but you have to ask yourself if you *really* want that croissant, fresh fruit and oj served to you on a silver tray for two hundred dollars more a night. Housekeeping is fantastic. Those ladies do an amazing job, though they can be annoying because they are so determined. If you stay here you WILL get fresh towels EVERY DAY. The desk staff and manager are wonderful although when you first approach them they can be a little wary of you simply because they see so many people and don't know if you're going to be a pain or not. If you're not, you will never ever meet a more accommodating group of people. The fridge and microwave are small but NEW and the TV is the same one I was watching in a 270 dollar a night Hilton I stayed in before I came here. Laundry is outrageously expensive for some reason -- take it down the road on 41 to the coin op laundry where you can do your entire family's laundry for twenty dollars in the big machines. Other than that, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel and I would call it, maybe -- a "best kept secret" for the price. If you're on a budget and you're craving a cloudless blue sky, an air temp of 80-95 F degrees year round and a white sand beach so powdersoft you can sleep on it -- hop on a plane and come down. :) read more

This hotel was disgusting! I will never go back. The front looks nice, but deceiving for what is on the inside. My father is a resident of Naples and we needed a hotel near his home that would allow pets. He warned us not to eat at Pates the onsite restaurant, that it is a rip off, should have queued us in...Upon arrival on Wed, the 4th of Jan 2012 the old fart clerk with the gold pinky ring was so rude to us. Instead of welcoming us, his whole attitude was that we were inconveniencing him. We told him we had a dog and he responded by saying "I don't know if I can accommodate you, we only have a few rooms that allow pets." this after I paid and confirmed with the hotel prior to arriving that everything would be set for us and our dog. He made no effort to try and assure us he would be accommodating, instead we got scolded. The drawers in the room smelled like mildew and the water was brown! Our tub was clogged, it took them four days to fix. I called the front desk and they said its a city problem, yet the restaurant next door to the hotel said there was no such issue in their establishment. The room was humid, there was no fresh air to the HVaC unit and the pipes on the ceiling are rusting. The beds we slept in were lopsided, you had to fight the tilt of your body while you slept. They told us we couldn't walk our pet anywhere on the property or we would be fined. Ramada should remove "pet friendly" from their accommodation list. The place made us ill. We are going to challenge corporate to send someone unannounced, they've lost our business for good. Residence Inn is where it's at! Avoid this hell hole. read more

Snooty front desk people and horrible "free breakfast" Breakfast was bland and quite frankly a joke. We travel a lot and usually come to Naples twice a month. Will make sure we don't come here again. To top our bad experience the front desk called us at 11:30 am to make sure we were gonna be checking out at noon. Seriously? Then a maid came to the door and knocked repeatedly even though the do not disturb sign was on the door. I finally went to the door and she asked did I know that check out was noon! cons We got there before check in time from airport. Unfortunately, we didn't rent a car because from what the website stated it was close to everything. We asked the lady at desk if they can hold our luggage. She advised us that they don't hold luggage. I have never heard of a chain hotel not offering holding of luggage until room was available. The lady at the desk was not budging so I asked for the manager. Luckily, she was kind enough to let us place our luggage near in the restaurant near the front desk. As soon as we walked into the room we noticed stains on the carpet. It did not give us a good first impression of the hotel. And it is not a good way for Ramada to impress it's customers. Also, if I recall from reading on their website this hotel was newly renovated. We also had to call front desk numerous times because our TV didn't work. The first time we called no one ever came up which required us to call again. The nice maintenance guy finally came up and fixed it. Then the following day the TV didn't work again. So, again we had to call the front desk. It was finally rectified by the maintenance man coming and giving us a new TV. The next issue was the bathroom. The door was hard to open and close because it was hitting front of the toilet (this was mentioned on previous reviews from previous customers as well). Also, the tub was another issue. The bottom of the tub sinks in when you walk on it. Thankfully, balance isn't an issue for me but for older people it might be. Also, not to mention the poor installation of the tub. Most contractors should be aware concrete needs to be place underneath to avoid this issue. Apparently, Ramada isn't choosing quality contractors to do their work. I am very disappointed in Ramada being that this is a chain and their standards should be better than this. But I guess you get what you pay for! Room itself was fine for the rate. However I tried to watch a playoff baseball game on TBS which should be a standard channel on any cable lineup. The channel that was listed as TBS came up as BBC America. TBS was not available on any of the channels. Called the front desk to ask why this was happening, was told that I should go to a bar down the road if I wanted to watch, and they had no idea about how the TV worked. Also left the room around 4pm, returned around 8 and the TV had been turned off, curtains had been opened and less than 2 dollars in change had been taken off the bedside table. Apparently this is what you get from a deal on Priceline. I know I won't be returning! Did not know that I had to put change in the safe! read more

Good central location. Close to the beaches, downtown and shopping. Atmosphere of the lobby and front desk workers were rather stuffy, but that fits with the whole 1950's era motiff. Breakfast in the Steakhouse next door was fine and the room itself was basic. The gym was old but adequate. On a side not, I would not recommend the garden room views for $20 bucks more, it doesn't seem worth it. read more
