Stayed here two nights while touring in the area. Was happy to get an upgraded room as a Gold member. The room was nice as was the bathroom. You can tell this is a newer Fairfield Inn. You could walk to downtown though it is about a mile. With the weather oscillating between 94 degrees and threats of thunderstorms we opted to drive into town. The biggest standout of this stay was the superb service given by the gent who ran the breakfast buffet in the morning. We have stayed at probably a hundred of this type of hotel and never have seen a worker own the breakfast buffet experience. He was friendly and helpful - clearing our table, asking what we needed, etc. Very impressive.

    Nice bathroom

Loved this hotel, the staff was amazing. It was incredibly clean. My only complaint was that my view on the first level was of the back of a hill, and the room was a little dark.

Fair field in Durango First off I wanted to tell everybody thank you so much for working because without you people we have no place to go. I APPRECIATE YOU. This hotel is a great location for us. And the rooms were nice, big, newly renovated, maybe. Jessica And I had our first encounter over the phone before we checked in. Deaisa, I had to call back to ask another question and she answered the phone. Dora the breakfast bar. Pam, not sure what she does. Dennis, front desk. Jen is in house keeping.

First! The continental breakfast was amazing as the chef beefed up the biscuits and gravy with some Pueblo (Hatch) chilis. Then he spruced up the waffles for us by adding cinnamon and almonds. Second, the room was clean and the shampoo and body wash were great Provido's mounted to the wall rather than those tiny bottles. Third, pool and hot tube were well kept

Chef Ralph made our stay just perfect. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. When Chef found out he made us the most delectable salmon dinner just for us! The convenient location was an easy walk to the Durango River Walk Trail. The suites made our 7 day stay exceptionally comfortable. The entire staff were friendly and accommodating. However Chef Ralph is a shining star that went above and beyond! I would highly recommend.

Great location. Loved the breakfast and overall service of the hotel. Ralph and his crew made the experience special for my wife and kids.

This is a room on the main floor. Each morning we woke at 6:30, but I wasn't able to hear any noise other than a toilet flush here and there from other rooms. This was a huge win!! I feel as though all of us guests were a big family being respectful of each other's time, noise and peace level. The views are AMAZING. This place is nestled right in front of some beautiful Mountain Views. You get breakfast every morning including some yummy goodies, water is always available (big plus, we didn't have to buy water over and over!), and fresh cookies are always on the table! Downstairs is an area to watch TV with couches, table to relax or play games (provided). My husband and I truly felt like we were at home. This place was truly my favorite part of our entire trip. It was so great to have no stress where we laid our heads to sleep. Walter and Jodi are the best!! If you're on the fence about booking, this is your sign!! It's worth it.

Everything was clean and cozy. Breakfast was plenty. Thank you J&W! I will be returning!!

We got the Homebody room, which had a king size bedroom, and a full-size pull out coach in the living room. Also a kitchen with all the utensils you'd need. The look of the apartment was definitely eclectic - bright shades of yellow and pink splashed across the walls. Plus, a polka dot bathroom. The decor was fun too. An old school radio, suitcase, and telephone were among the many items on the shelves. These rooms certainly aren't anything fancy, but everything was clean and tidy. It's nice that check in is contactless. You simply get a set of directions emailed to you once you book letting you know the code to get in. Parking is limited but they do give you a parking pass so you're all set. Also great is its location. Truly the center of downtown, within walking distance to all the shops, bars, restaurants, and coffee joints you could need. The one bummer was a leaking ceiling in our unit's bathroom. Hopefully they get that sorted ASAP because it was quite bad. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to travelers passing through!

We booked a King Suite. We didn't plan to use the kitchenette but we appreciated having the extra space to spread out. The bed was comfortable and overall the room was clean. When we stayed there was not maid service other than trash pickup and a towel refresh. The hotel has a hot breakfast that starts at 6:30am. We appreciated the convenience of a quick bite to eat before heading out for our daily adventure. Overall breakfast was satisfying. We particularly liked the tortilla, egg, bacon and potato casserole dish. The hotel is located several miles from historic Durango where many of the town's popular restaurants and shops are located. We were fine with driving to historic Durango but there are some hotel options that are within walking distance of the historic district. As far as amenities, the hotel has a gym, indoor pool and hot tub and guest laundry. The laundry room was clean and had two "speed queen" washers and two dryers. The wash cycle was a speedy 23 minutes but the dry cycle was more like 50 minutes. I definitely appreciated being able to wash our hiking clothes before heading to our next destination. One thing that really impressed me about the hotel is that I left an item behind and they called me to let me know. I stay in a lot of hotels each year and although I don't leave stuff behind too often, I don't think many of them would take the initiative to call a guest about a lost item. A few minor nits - there was leftover drinks and food in our fridge from the previous guest that I thought house keeping should have cleared out. Also, the sodas in the vending machine are expired. One Diet Coke I got expired four months ago and the other Diet Coke I got expired six months ago. The irony is that the hotel is located next to the Coca-Cola distribution plant.

I felt like the welcome from the staff at the front desk was sincere, not because of my 'diamond status'. They smiled and made eye contact and asked if there was anything I needed before I went to my room. My room was exactly as I thought it should be. Everything was comfy and it was so spacious! The kitchen was amazing and the bed was so comfy. The bath has everything you need (see photos). I didn't even have to change the temperature. I only needed a room for one night, and since I didn't arrive until after 4pm and my flight left at 6am, it wasn't much of a visit but I wanted the space that this property offers. The staff at the front desk even gave me 2 business cards for taxis. I used my Hilton app for a Lyft though, and when I saw that I wasn't going to get one at 4am, I grabbed the cards and called. I got to the airport in time with no stress, thanks to the young lady (I wish I could remember her name). Hilton never disappoints. Thanks again for a great night!
