I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.

Unfortunately, just two weeks later, a noticeable black blob appeared on the new screen near the Dynamic Island. This looks like OLED screen bleed or a defect. The phone has remained in a case with a screen protector the entire time and has not been dropped, bumped, or otherwise mishandled. Given the timing (only 2 weeks after installation) and the specific location of the spot, this issue is almost certainly the result of either a defective replacement screen or a problem during installation (such as trapped dust, adhesive, or pressure damage). It is not consistent with normal use or accidental damage. I offered to bring the phone in so they could inspect it in person, but they declined and immediately dismissed the warranty claim without examination. While I understand repairs aren't perfect, I'm disappointed they are unwilling to stand behind their work and honor the warranty on what is clearly a post-repair defect. I went from a satisfied customer who would have returned and recommended them to someone who can no longer do so. Potential customers should be aware that warranty support may not be reliable here. EDIT: Contrary to the response below the phone was never physically inspected. Rather, the response was based on a set of photos sent showing the issue which, alone, would be virtually impossible to come to a conclusion of physical damage versus defective product. As a customer, you are in a no win situation here as no matter what happens they are going to blame you and not the manufacturer or installation for the problem.

We ran several diagnostic tests and they all pointed to a FAILING HARD DRIVE. We found Computerzone USA on YELP and called and was told by the owner Sultan Shariff to come in anytime for a hard drive replacement - for which he quoted a price. Upon pick up we noticed several files missing and most other files, pictures, and on-screen icons all jumbled - nor could we open our voluminous MS Outlook. Yikes - so much stress! Best I could tell, he tried to install some upgraded software that caused that problem. He quickly volunteered to fix it upon returning the computer next day and to mirror the EXACT INSTALLATION we had previously. So he took my laptop and external hd to try to get the data from it. Unfortunately, it was fried pretty badly, but they work with another company that specializes in data recovery. I had my important data backed up already, so i decided to get a new computer all together bc i compromised on the original one that fried out. Figured i would just get the one i really wanted. They recycled the old computer and returned my external hd the same day i made the decision. Throughout the process, i was completely informed of their progress via email. When I dropped my phone and had a white line going down the screen, I filed a claim to have it fixed. I was expecting to have to go to an AT&T store, but all the uBreakiFix spots popped up as well. This spot is closer to me than any AT&T store so I came here on a Monday morning to drop it off. It wasn't busy, and after giving my phone number they were able to look up my claim and asked me to come back in 90 minutes. Used that time to get lunch (but was also sadly reminded a lot of restaurants are closed Mondays). I came back a little early and my phone was all set to go. Since it was via my insurance the payment just shows up in the phone bill. My only complaint was they put a screen protector on which I thought was nice, until I realized it was covering up the part of the phone you put your ear on - I was confused why my calls were so muffled. Still, not much to complain about! Obviously this is a unique scenario as I'm not just coming in with a random problem, and I assume my issue was a common one, but at least I can say they fixed my minor phone problem well.

They repaired the computer so that it will now turn on and they gave me a new power cord for $240, this is about half cost of what I paid for the computer brand new. In store they showed that it will now turn on and work properly but when I got home I discovered that my battery won't charge and the computer still shuts off while I'm working on it. I called back there and they said "Uhhhhh it's your battery then. You need to buy a new one. You can order through us if you want." What? How did you not discover that the battery was also defunct while you were "repairing" it. And now you want to charge me MORE money? I asked if I could bring it in for him to look at again and he said, if you want to. What great service. Before any repairs were done to the computer I asked if it would be worth repairing rather than purchase a new computer, they assured me that yes repairing would be way less. Then why have I already paid half the cost of the computer and it's not fixed? Take your computer here if you want it only half repaired.
