However I was out of town for a work event so I was not able to retrieve the items until the following Thursday. I went for pick up and the owner apologized and told me that it was still at the alterations place an hour away and that he would bring it in tomorrow. (A week after it was supposed to be finished). He also insisted that these items would be free of charge because of his mistake and the inconsistency. Mind you, I have a wedding to go to tomorrow and a flight that leaves at 5 am. so I told him that I cannot wait until tomorrow, and the fact that it's over a week late is not my problem but his. I offered to pick it up and he said no, he would bring it to the shop. Well I get there to pick it up from the cleaners and he proceeds to tell me that it will be 88$. How? When you were late and you just said it was free. Meanwhile I told him that was ridiculous and he charged me 60$, only for me to try it on at home and see the end result (see photos attached) . I went back and showed him, he gave me a refund. But moral of the story, I went through hell and back for jeans I can't even fit anymore since they took the butt in and all I needed was the waist. And now I have to go to Walgreens and get an emergency sewing kit to fix the top od the dress. Thanks Wabash cleaners.

Took a week for them to complete, which was already a little long in my mind. I've had plenty more dropped off elsewhere and it's been a quicker turnaround. They do not call or text you when your items are ready - they simply told me to "stop by next week" to pick up. I get the receipt back and I was appalled. My four linen/cotton dresses were $25 EACH. The other things were also wildly overpriced as well. The tiny rip in my skirt was $15. Costed me a total of $170. My dry cleaning elsewhere has MAYBE costed $50 for all of these items before. If you're looking to have little to no follow up with your dry cleaning that'll cost you an arm and a leg, this is your place. Otherwise I highly suggest taking your clothes elsewhere.

I admittedly often stain them while eating at events and Ritchie Cleaners is my go-to for help with removal of tough spots. Most recently -- today, in fact -- the owner/operator, an always rather friendly and humorous fellow, accommodated me when I needed my tuxedo by the end of business the day before it was due (to have it ready in time for a flight to New York City the morning of the date of pickup, a few hours from this writing, in fact). He saved the day! Until some point in 2022, less than a year ago, if I recall correctly, I had been going to another laundromat, about three minutes' walk from my place. Out of respect, I will not give the name. The service was alright and expensive, the owner/operator taciturn, if not curt. I wanted to keep supporting his business out of kindness in spite of this. A friend from my apartment building had mentioned issues with the place I had been going to and recommended Ritchie Cleaners, which is just over 400 feet, two minutes (according to Google Maps), at most, instead. Since I have begun using this service, I have become more and more convinced that I made the right decision. I want to find a way I might repay the man who runs Ritchie Cleaners for his assistance (beyond my definitely continuing to use his service and highly recommending this business to neighbors).
