My visit started with a friendly conversation with the host about the design of the restaurant and furnishings and how the company was lightning up the interior of the restaurant. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and had her own recommendations. I enjoyed her recommendation on the Reuben sandwich. Tasty version made with Cole slaw not sauerkraut. My friend enjoyed the fish and was able to substitute soup for the fries. Huge whiskey list,cocktails and beer. I liked that there are small to larger entrees and a simple menu. read more

What a great dining experience. The goat cheese balls started things off and they were phenomenal with a nice jalapeño-infused maple syrup sauce. The lollipop chicken wings were also delightful with two really good sauces. For dinner, the steak was exceptional with a large slab of flavored butter on the top. The Brussels were good but not great. The steak was perfectly cooked. Someone else had the salmon but they weren't fans of the mashed peas that went with the salmon. I'm not gonna lie- we went to Fado for one reason and one reason only-KILKENNY. I was so excited to be close to an establishment that carried my favorite beer ever. We were seated at our table- very cool decor- I could hardly stand myself. Before he even gave us our menus I asked for the delicious libation. Sadness. They don't serve it. Waaaahhhhh. We just had water and ordered food. We started with the smoked salmon appetizer. It was delicious. We opted to mix the blini and the cucumber. Naturally, I like the blini better. I am Irish after all. My husband had the farmhouse salad- he said it was good but way too much dressing. I had the Reuben and the duck fat fries-it was a good sandwich, the fries (which were an extra $4) were underwhelming. Just eh. We may return. The beer would seal the deal. read more

We had a party of 4 adults and two toddlers on a Sunday morning at 10am. We were the only table inside and there were maybe 2 small tables sat outside. That said, our service seemed to have a lag in it. Maybe our server is new to serving... We ordered the donuts (4 to an order) and they were great. Very dense and moist - I just wish there was more sauce on top! They get their coffee from a local distributor and let me tell you... it is delicious! It's rich and full of flavor. Two of us had the quiche Lorraine and two had the Benedict. The quiche was different than I'd had before but I really liked it! The Benedict was also super tasty but the egg was over cooked and didn't have a runny yolk at all. It was almost hard boiled which was a disappointment. Overall, we had a great experience. I rate 4 stars for slower service and the Benedict eggs being so overdone. read more

Stopped in for dinner and a few drinks. Charlie and Dave at the bar did not disappoint!!! Charlie was super knowledgeable about all things wine. He gave a great suggestion on a Cabernet to try. We then chatted with Dave who made some amazing looking cucumber drinks but I settled on his signature banana bread old fashioned!!! Get it!!! It was literally one of the best drinks I have ever had!! I watched the care and detail he put into it! We will definitely be back very soon!! Also, the food was excellent. My first visit this evening did not disappoint! I was solo so I sat at the bar to watch sports and have a little dinner. I started with the deep fried goat cheese balls! Great choice, they were delicious. Served with a honey drizzle sauce, rich but light and fluffy. Next, I ordered the fish and chips. I have had plenty of breaded cod in my day, this was some of the best I have had. The chips we kinda potatoey, just average. The bartenders were very attentive and friendly. First time at the Dublin Fados. A much different atmosphere from Easton. As opposed to a pub like environment, it is a restaurant. Five of us enjoy three apps which were very tasty. Of the three, the goat cheese balls was a hit. The honey side was not to be overlooked to drizzle over your balls! The pear, prosciutto flat bread came in second with the pretzel rounding out the three. Two friends shares the fish and chips dinner, a light batter and a generous serving. I had the unconventional Rueben with a house cole slaw and a non thousand island dressing on marble rye. Not as messy, thank goodness, as a.traditional rueben but made my mouth happy. I LOVE this location. It's a completely different vibe from the one in Easton. It has a very sophisticated/sexy atmosphere with sky high ceilings and dim lighting. They had a DJ when we went on a Saturday night and we sat at the service bar that views the kitchen. Our server Dave was amazing- he was fun, knowledgeable and took great care of us. We shared a couple of appetizers- chicken pate, pear and prosciutto flatbread, and the shepherds pie. Everything was platted beautifully and tasted amazingggggg! I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally made it happen for a brunch date with my lovely friend! I put in reservations earlier because last time when I was trying to visit this with a group of friends they were totally out of space so we had to go elsewhere. However, that Sat morning when I visited, it was quite peaceful. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant. It was around Christmas time so there was a cute little Christmas tree. That whole area is just super cute - I liked the decor a lot and so is the restaurant vibe. I was debating the Shepheard's Pie and the Lamb Burger but ended up choosing the lamb burger (4/5). It was pretty tasty. The taste of lamb was appropriate for me - not too strong that it gets too much but also not too light with no lamb taste.. the bun and ingredients other than the lamb was okay, nothing special. But it's the lamb that matters here haha... I did want to call out the fries though. SO TASTY! One of the best ones that I've had around Columbus. My friend loved it too. My lovely friend ordered Steak & Eggs. I got to try a slice of the steak and it was also really good - so pretty impressed there. Overall, I think this place has decent bar food. Total dining EXPERIENCE. From the location, the drinks, the food, the game and general conversation - this ranks as one of the best overall dining adventures of my life. Early morning spent whacking some balls at Mannino's Grand Slam, decided to check out this Fadó location as I like Easton so much - this place takes the cake! The Bridge Park development is an absolute gem in the city, so this location is prime Midwest realty. Go to the bar to talk to the man himself, Chris Scarver, a top-class mixologist who will deliver to you a phenomenal drink and great conversation. The gentleman at the bar sitting next to me, Charlie, also works at Fadó and everyone who walked in immediately came over to greet him and share some laughs and a pint. I tried the "Rye so Serious" and "Lost Glasses" signatures created by Chris - they were amazing. Ordered the Shakshuka while watching the Crew stomp all over Vancouver, sharing in some great soccer conversations with others at the bar. I had such a wonderful time, made some new friends, drank some great booze, ate some delicious food and watched a stellar match. Will be back next week! read more

I LOVE Fado on Riverside! When I first visited, I thought it would be similar to the Fado in Easton - which gives off more of a sports pub vibe. Fado in Dublin is totally different. Bridge Park is one of my favorite areas to visit, and more businesses are springing up there all the time. My girlfriend and I first visited Fado a few months ago, when we stopped in to share a big steak. It was a tasty experience, but nothing I felt was overly Yelp-worthy. Finding ourselves near the area again this morning, we checked out their brunch menu and figured we'd drop in again. I personally love a good eggs benny, and I had a feeling Fado would deliver on that...and I was right. The dining room was surprisingly quiet around 10:30 on a Saturday morning, so there were no concerns about waiting for seating etc. On our first visit, we sat right at the front of the restaurant due to the rest of it being rented out for a private party...so it was nice to see how big and spacious the dining area is, and what a great view it has of the Scioto and the other side of Dublin. We had a couple of coffees to start (served in very large mugs, by the way), and my girlfriend ordered the Irish breakfast sandwich, while I, as mentioned, ordered the eggs benedict. Our server, Ellis, was quick to check on us and returned frequently. The meals arrived, and we were quite impressed by just how much food was on the plates. Indeed, we regretted not splitting a meal and an appetizer instead. Having said that, we were both hungry, and both meals were very satisfying. I particularly loved the hollandaise sauce on my benny, and appreciated the inclusion of spinach as well. My girlfriend loved the home fries a bit more than I did (I liked them, but found them a bit heavy), but neither of us were able to completely finish our meals due to the sheer amount of food. This is *not* a complaint, by the way -- just something to keep in mind. The bill was $30, which is pretty reasonable for a sizeable brunch, so there are truly no negatives to our second Fado experience. Ultimately, as a brunch spot, Fado isn't exactly in the realm of "you've got to try this place!", but is nonetheless somewhere we would gladly return to next time we're in the area on a weekend morning. read more

The service was great. The food was way over-priced for the quality/portion size. They should entertain a lunch menu.

We have found the food to be very good. Their fish and chips are the closest to those we sampled in London. And if you like Irish Whiskies or Bourbons, this is a place to visit. Although I tend to get a Black and Tan with my fish and chips. If you can try to visit during St. Patricks Day events. Special dishes and Irish Dancers are nice additions. The occasional special dishes/themes that are available in addition to the standard menu can be a nice change of pace. Currently, there is a Bavarian theme, and the Belgium waffle would be enjoyable plain, even without the toppings. The service has always been excellent, and the staff is very professional in their roles. read more

In love with this new spot in the Bridge Park District of Dublin. First the space is just stunning. The floors are gorgeous and totally instaworthy of in-air photos. The space is light and airy in the back room and doesn't feel crowded at all. Only negative is a few of the tables up near the front door because you don't really feel like your part of the restaurant. Take a moment to check around when you get there so you feel like you get one of the good seats in the house. The space is literally night and day different from the Easton location - so much so that it doesn't even feel like the same restaurant. Cocktails are yummy - we tried quite a few. My favorite was the honey citrus lemonade although it was quite tart so I mentioned this to the bartender and she re-mixed it after adding some simple syrup and it was perfection! The Jameson Crabbies Ginger was good - very much like a mule. I loved the Dublin Paloma and the Irish Whiskey Sour. Make sure to check out the Exclusive Elijah Craig Bourbon Whiskey. Hands down my favorite item on the menu was the Chicken Liver Pate. Not something I would ever order but the server highly recommended it and boy is it life changing. Holy delicious. I would head back here for that dish alone. It was a bit sweet and savory and I honestly had to hold back from licking the jar clean. I also want to rave about Grilled chicken baguette, I know it sounds simple but the flavors were delicious. It had a hint of sweetness to it that really made it stand out. Some other favorites: smoke salmon bites (although small for the price tagb), fried goat cheese, and the caprese flatbread. The lamb burger and the pork chop were also delicious. read more

Great service! Great irish breakfast! Loved the flavors. The black pudding and sausage are good. My wife had to remind me I was comparing south American value to American portions. With that in mind I would have liked more mushroom and a small amount of beans would have been nice. My wife and I were part of a group of 37 for a meeting and brief speech there. Then all 37 wanted dinner of course, at the same time. Our server, Rich, was outstanding, patiently and with a smile taking his tablet from table to table, relaying orders back to the kitchen. Yes, one server for 37 people, though helpers carried the meals to our many tables. Food came out so promptly we were all stunned. Orders were all accurate, hot, nicely presented. The fish and chips were very generous in portion, and all at our table enjoyed what they ordered. They have two large patios, on the side and at the rear. Free parking in an open garage across a narrow street, no ticket nor validation needed. There is a great ice cream and chocolates store, Kilwin's, a two minute walk away, and a great S-shaped pedestrian bridge, The Dublin Link, over the Scioto River just a few paces around the corner.
